Jon Favreau and his wife, Joya Tillem enjoyed a day at the beach with their kids on Saturday (Sept. 5th) in Malibu. Â It’s nice to see Jon spending quality time with his family in the midst of his very busy schedule. The guy has a plethora of movies lined up. Â I am not sure how he has time for anything else! Â But, this just shows that he is a good family man who has his priorities straight.
I bet his kiddos enjoyed him as Hurley in G-Force! Â So cute! Â I will be watching him in I Love You, Man later on tonight…Yes, it’s taken me this long. Â But, I am a busy girl!
I’m Nick Wolfwood and I’m bringing you a preview of the movies being released in the final months of 2009.

Thoughts: I got the chance to be on the set of this movie at one point, I’m pretty sure the final product is going to be funny. With this many funny improvisational actors in the same place we are bound to get some good laughs.
Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming film Couples Retreat starring Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, Kristen Bell, Jason Bateman, Kristin Davis and Faizon Love.
I’m not jumping out of my seat on this one, but it seems like it could be pretty funny. It’s a pretty good cast, just not the most fresh concept. It reminds me a little bit of an old episode of I Love Lucy.
Here’s the poster for the upcoming comedy Couples Retreat.
The story revolves around four couples who go to a tropical island resort, with one couple working on their marriage and the others sucked into the resort’s couples therapy. Bell is playing Bateman’s wife, Davis plays Favreau’s wife, and Akerman plays Vaughn’s.
This will probably be pretty amusing, but I’m not expecting a killer comedy here.
Here’s the first image of Robert Downey Jr. in his Iron Man gear for the new film Iron Man 2.
He’s suited up and ready to save the world! Back in action on the Iron Man 2 set, Robert Downey Jr. shoots a scene for the action film Wednesday in Los Angeles.Â
This movie is going to be great, I’m looking forward to next year a little more than this year’s movies.
After speculation that Mickey Rourke was not in fact playing the villain in Iron Man 2, but now he’s struck a better deal and has officially signed on with the project.Â
I just heard that ICM has scored its second casting deal for Marvel’s Iron Man 2. After at first being low-balled by the studio to the tune of $250K, Rourke has signed on for the role of the Russian villain in the sequel after his agent David Unger got the quote up to a “significant” level despite this punishing economic climate where the studios are taking advantage of talent. (No wonder Mickey kept thanking Unger so profusely in acceptance speeches for the BAFTA, Golden Globes, Spirit, and other awards.) But don’t expect Marvel to confirm any of this: they won’t until all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed on the contracts. I can also tell you that Sony was considering hiring Mickey to play the villain in Spider-Man 4.
He’ll be good, I’m glad they finally came to an agreement. The movie is sure to be another major hit, especially with the growing list of big names attached.Â
Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell may be villains in Iron Man 2 directed by Jon Favreau. The film has already locked in Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
Marvel has been keeping a very tight lid on the script for the sequel, being written by Justin Theroux, but it is known that Rourke would play a tattooed Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes Whiplash, a man with deadly, technologically enhanced coils.
Rockwell would play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Anthony Stark, AKA Iron Man, being played by a returning Robert Downey Jr.
Great actors, I hope they both take the roles. It’s sure to be one of the hottest movies of 2010.
Hell yeah, this is good news. In a recent interview Jon Favreau talked about Iron Man 2 being in IMAX 3D.
Anyway, while I’ll have a lot more in the next day or two, the highlight was Jon saying he’d love to do Iron Man 2 in 3D! He also called the IMAX “Dark Knight” footage a game changer and he said he’d love to shoot part of “Iron Man 2” in IMAX. Regarding the 3D, he said it’s all about the cost, but if they can make it happen he’d like to do it. He talked about getting to see the armor in 3D and how cool it would be.
While he was a bit cagey about specifics with “Iron Man 2,” he did mention Mandarin a lot and he said we can expect a lot more surprises in the sequel in terms of other comic book characters.
If you saw The Dark Knight in IMAX you probably see why this is exciting news. Hopefully this is the beginning of a trend.
