The new Guy Ritchie directed film Sherlock Holmes is going into production.
Robert Downey Jr. brings the legendary detective to life as he has never been portrayed before. Jude Law stars as Holmes’ trusted colleague, Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally for Sherlock Holmes. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have bested Holmes and who has maintained a tempestuous relationship with the detective. Mark Strong stars as their mysterious new adversary, Blackwood. Kelly Reilly will play Watson’s love interest, Mary.
This one is based on the comic book not directly with the books. With Ritchie at the helm and Downey Jr. as Holmes, I think we are in for a treat.

Rachel McAdams will star opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes, a reimagining of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s character that Guy Ritchie is directing for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow.
McAdams plays Holmes’ enigmatic love interest, Irene Adler, a character who appeared in Doyle’s 1891 “A Scandal in Bohemia.” While the character only appeared in that one story, McAdams’ personage would return for any possible sequel.
She’s a great actress, I’m sure she is a good choice.

First rumors, flew about Russell Crowe or Colin Farrell playing the legendary sidekick now Jude Law is apparently taking on the role. Robert Downey Jr. is Holmes, and the film will be directed by Guy Ritchie.
The actor is finalizing a deal to portray the famous Baker Street detective’s sidekick Dr. John H. Watson.
He’s already got the accent, and he’s a good actor. Should be interesting.

“Crying Men” is a series of photos that was shot by Sam Taylor-Wood to show what it looks like when Hollywood men cry.
Taylor-Wood explains, “Some of the men cried before I even finished loading the camera, but others found it really difficult. People can decide for themselves which they think are the authentic tears and which they think are fake. It’s about the idea of taking these big, masculine men and showing a different side.”
The portraits include many men…but I just picked my favorites from the bunch. Ryan Gosling, Hayden Christensen, Daniel Craig and Jude Law. There is nothing sexier than seeing a man cry.

Jude Law is quite the ladies man, he always seems to be courting some young woman. And this is no exception. These grainy photos of Jude kissing Kimberly Stewart were taken on Saturday in Essex.
Sources at the nightclub had this to say:
“We couldn’t believe it when we saw Kimberly Stewart snogging the face off Jude Law. They were really going at it and barely came up for air.”
“He’s the first big name we have ever seen in there. So myself and my friends walked over and asked if we could have our photo taken with them. But they said no, turned back to face each other again then carried on kissing.”
Two bodyguards went up to the people taking pictures of Jude and took the camera away so they could delete the pictures. But obviously it wasn’t good enough because the pictures were retrieved.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will each take turns becoming multiple incarnations of Heath’s character transformed in the “magical” world of the film.
Heath was playing Tony, a mysterious outsider, in the American fantasy adventure film about a traveling theater company giving their audience much more than they were expecting.
I’m so glad that they have found a way to keep Heath in the movie.

Kate Moss took on her rival and nemesis, Sienna Miller. Sienna, who came to a wedding with her boyfriend, Rhys Ifan, was accused by Kate of stealing all things Kate-a-licious.
A witness at Saturday’s bash told me: “Kate had a go at Sienna and accused her of stealing her style. She was ranting on about how Sienna was now trying to steal her lifestyle and her friends too.
Sadie Frost (Kate’s pal and Jude Law’s ex,) had her wits about her and calmed the battling beauties by putting the matter in perspective.
The onlooker added: “Sadie stood between them and reminded them that it was a wedding and that they should show some respect. Sienna was in the mood for carrying on the scrap but Rhys persuaded her to call it a night.”
Nice wedding guest list! Only one missing was Pete Doherty and now THAT would’ve been entertainment.
