Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are back as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows directed by Guy Ritchie and a new trailer is now online.

The slow motion style of explosions, witty one-liners between the leads and we finally meet Professor Moriarty (played by Mad Men star Jared Harris) – Holmes’ greatest arch enemy – we’re getting quite a peek at the upcoming film.

What else is in the trailer? Rachel McAdams, looking stunning of course, the original Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace and Downey Jr. in drag – not his best disguise, as Sherlock quips.

Uma Thurman was stunning in white as she walked the red carpet for the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival held at the Palais de Festival on Wednesday evening.

The beauty of the French Riviera scenery was rivaled by Thurman in her strapless white Versace with feathery skirt and cut out back detail. The 41 year-old actress had her hair swept back with beautiful dangling Chopard emerald earrings.

Thurman was joined by Robert De Niro and Jude Law, among others, who were part of this year’s jury for the festival. The opening night film was the Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris.

Jude Law and Sienna Miller are splitting up again.

The couple just moved in together six weeks ago but have called it quits after the short time of co-habitation. The two took a holiday to Kenya as a make-it-or-break-it last ditch effort and they came back to the UK realizing they need to call off their second go round.

“They arranged a fairly last-minute, make-or-break holiday to Africa over the festive period and though they came back still talking to each other, it was fairly obvious that the spark had gone.

“They decided to call it a day soon after. Sienna has already moved her things out of his place and is living back in her London pad.”

Law and Miller first met on the set of Alfie and called off their relationship in 2006 when Law was caught with his children’s nanny, Daisy Wright.

Jude Law’s ex-wife, Sadie Frost took it all off for Grazia Magazine in their latest issue and wanted the pictures to remain untouched.  This one is all about women being able to embrace their own beauty without the need for plastic surgery.  Sadie Frost is a great spokeswoman on this topic,

“I want to make a big point here. It’s not about taking my clothes off and using digital trickery to make me look slimmer.
‘I’m like any other woman. I have bits I like – my boobs, my shoulders, my arms – and bits I don’t – my bum and my stomach. I’m in my forties. I can’t believe it happened. I can’t make myself look any younger but I can do what I can to make myself look the best I can.”

What a great perspective.  With so many ‘plastics’ out there, it’s refreshing to see a real woman now and then.  And I must say, Sadie Frost look great!  She is a vegetarian who eats healthily and opts for a bag of frozen peas rather than surgery for her eyes.  Thanks for the inspiration, Sadie!

Jude Law and Sienna Miller have put their relationship on re-heat and things are getting serious for the couple once again.  In fact, after their love was rekindled in New York during their Broadway shows, the decided to move in together, back in London!

A source said: “Last week they put the wheels in motion to live together again.

“They have told staff that they are in love and will be moving back to London in the spring and they will be living together as a couple once again.”

They make a gorgeous couple, it’s no wonder they can’t stay apart.  I hope that it sticks this time.  Congrats to the happy couple!

After practically every other country got their posters for the upcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, here’s the American version at long last.

It took a long time to come out, but was it really worth it? It’s cool and all but I think I may like some of the other versions better. In any case I am really looking forward to this surreal final Heath Ledger film.

Here’s the most complete trailer for the upcoming film Sherlock Holmes with lots of new footage.

I think the more and more I see of this the more I have doubts about it being good. As much as I like all the actors and the Sherlock Holmes character it’s beginning to look a little too cheesy. Hopefully it works, I want this to be good!

Jude Law‘s “friends” have spilled to The Daily Mail on the actor’s mixed feelings about his new daughter, Sophia.   Evidently he wasn’t even planning to meet her at all, but hoped that he could just pay off mom Samantha Burke!  Thankfully (I think) he may be changing his mind.  The sources said:

“[Jude] felt it would be easiest to just pay Samantha and hope that she moved on and left him alone.  But now he is feeling very torn. He is on the brink of going to see Sophia but first of all, he wants to make sure his older kids feel totally secure and to make them feel they are involved in what is one of the biggest decisions of his life.”

The pressure is on, though.  Burke has said that she wants him to be “a big part” of Sophia’s life.  And Jude’s parents, Maggie and Peter, “want to know their new granddaughter.”

Oh, the baby mama drama.  But you know, there’s one surefire way to avoid it, and that’s to keep it in your pants.  Shame that Jude hasn’t learned that yet.
