Justin Bieber Just Wants To Make Selena Gomez Happy

Justin Bieber shares the May 2012 Seventeen magazine cover duty with Chloe Moretz (see her cover here.)

The 18 year-old singer spoke about what scares him the most, his role model and how he keeps his girlfriend, Selena Gomez happy.

On his role model:
“Usher is who I look to for guidance. From the beginning, he told me to put family first and you’ll always succeed, because your family will never leave you. He told me to always stay humble and never forget where I came from.”

On growing up with his fans:
“A lot of times, when artists grow older, they lose their younger fans because they’re just trying to get older fans. But if you try to make good music, then you’ll just appease everybody. I just want to make music that’s good for everybody.”

On his romantic dates with girlfriend Selena Gomez:
“I’m just trying to make her happy, that’s all. I think it’s important to make all women feel like they’re princesses, because every girl is a princess. I’m serious.”

On what scares him the most:
“Losing a family member is my biggest fear. I’ve never lost anyone, so I don’t know what the feeling would be. It would just be scary.”

Not so much in real life, though.  His interview with editor Joe LaPuma makes it very clear that while there’s a price to pay for celebrity, it’s #1 or bust for Bieber, and he’s not pulling punches.    Read on for highlights, the flip side cover image and a behind the scenes video from the photoshoot.

Justin Bieber heads to The Ellen DeGeneres Show today and ends up with a very nice birthday gift.

Bieber turns 18 today and his manager, Scooter Braun, surprised the “Baby” singer by gifting him with a Fisker Karma. The FK is a super-exclusive, premium electric, hybrid sports car that counts Leonardo DiCaprio as an owner.

Scooter: “You work really really hard. I always yell at you don’t get anything flashy. You know, we’re not about that. Be humble, be humble and I kind of broke my own rule….
So we wanted to make sure your were environmentally friendly and we wanted to make sure since you love cars that when you’re on the road you are always environmentally friendly and we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out…. I think you know where I’m going and you’re kind of freaking out right now.”

Bieber was beyond thrilled (can’t blame him!)

The teen also took the opportunity to announce his next single.

Justin: My big announcement is that on March 26th my first single is coming out and it’s called “Boyfriend.”

Ellen: That’s exciting. Why is it called “Boyfriend”?

Justin: Basically I’m talking to this girl if I was your boyfriend I would never let you go.

Justin: Yeah, I wrote it with Mike Posner

The “Baby” singer says he’s not planning on over-hauling his public image in the blink of an eye, he’s going to take his time. Respect is his long-term goal.

“I want to do it at my own pace,” Bieber told V. “I don’t want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I’m into love, and maybe I’ll get more into making love when I’m older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody.”

Bieber’s shoot for the magazine is done by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and he was styled by Lady Gaga‘s pal and Thierry Mugler creative head honcho Nicola Formichetti.

Justin Bieber Paternity Suit Dropped – Is Mariah Yeater Hoping For An Out-Of-Court Settlement?

Baby, baby, baby oh!

Justin Bieber‘s paternity suit has been quietly dropped by Mariah Yeater, the fan who claimed Justin fathered her 3 month old son.

TMZ is reporting that Yeater’s San Diego attorneys have withdrawn from the case after a call from Bieber’s legal eagle, Howard Weitzman, threatening everyone with a lawsuit.

However the NY Daily News spoke to Yeater’s new attorney who says the lawsuit is withdrawn only because there is a new strategy involved thanks to Yeater’s safety being compromised by overzealous Bieber fans but she is still intent on proving JB is her child’s father with a paternity test.

“In light of death threats directed toward my client, strategies have been reviewed. The San Diego case has been withdrawn, and we’re trying to settle out of court with Bieber’s counsel. We’re working out a DNA test confidentially,” said Jeffrey Leving, a Chicago-based custody lawyer who is working with Yeater.

He continues to say that the San Diego litigators were changed out for Los Angeles based attorneys, there was no resignation by any involved and that it’s Belieber’s death threats that are changing how the suit proceeds.

“I did not resign. I still believe my client,” he said, adding that Yeater’s San Diego lawyers have been replaced by John Carlson from the Los Angeles firm Carlson & Greenberg.

“I originally wanted a judge to order a DNA test to make sure the test’s chain of custody was safeguarded. But the reality is that that was before these death threats escalated. And they’ve gotten so out of control, maintaining strict confidentiality is something we have to try. If this doesn’t work, and we can’t work it out, we can always re-file,” Leving said.

Yeater has asserted in court documents that she met Bieber backstage at a concert in 2010 and the two had sex in a bathroom. She was 19 at the time and claims that the then 16 year-old Justin told her he was a virgin.

Bieber has maintained his innocence and professes to never have laid eyes on Yeater, let alone have sex with her.

“Never met the woman,” Bieber said.

“I’d just like to say that none of those allegations are true. I know that I’m going to be a target, but I’m never going to be a victim.”

So it appears the DNA test is still on when Justin returns to the U.S.

Justin Bieber Says He’s Not A Baby Daddy: ‘I’ve Never Met The Woman’

Justin Bieber isn’t taking the paternity suit brought by Mariah Yeater lying down.

The 17 year-old went to the Today Show to talk to Matt Lauer, Ann Curry and Al Roker telling the hosts he can’t possibly be the father of her baby because he doesn’t know her.

“Never met the woman,” Bieber said.

“I’d just like to say that none of those allegations are true. I know that I’m going to be a target, but I’m never going to be a victim.”

Yeater, who is 20 years-old now, alleges in the suit that she met and had sex with Bieber in October of 2010 after a concert in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

Bieber’s team says the suit is “malicious,” “defamatory” and “demonstrably false.”

But Yeater’s lawyers told Dr. Drew on his HLN program that not everything has come to light in the media yet and they believe their client.

“We think that’s highly unlikely based on the evidence we have, not all of which has been released to the media,” Yeater’s attorney Michael Pare said. “There’s credible evidence that supports he is the father.”

At the time, Bieber would have been 16 years-old and Yeater, 19. She also claims that it was Bieber’s first time, it lasted about 30 seconds and she wanted him to wear a condom but he refused.

It’s also possible, if the allegation is true, that Yeater could face statutory rape charges because of Justin’s age at the time of the encounter.

Her lawyers countered “that has no bearing whatsoever on the right for child support.”
