Here’s the new poster for the upcoming film, Everybody’s Fine starring Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale.
The poster looks very campy, cheesy and corny. And as much as I like all these actors, I’m afraid the movie will be just that.

OMG! Â I have never seen Kate Beckinsale this hot. Â I have always thought of her as perfection. Â This woman is very easy on the eyes and well, in this photo shoot for Esquire Magazine, Kate nearly melts the cameras with the heat she is giving. Â There is no doubt that Kate was the perfect choice for the Sexiest Woman Alive.
“This whole notion of being named Sexiest Woman Alive is going to earn me quite a beating,” she says. “You can’t have that title with four brothers. I’ll get wedgies. Headlocks. Noogies.”
“If you’re any kind of a human, you know the title is utterly ludicrous. Â But I like the idea of it, too. I do. I’m feeling that I must earn this. I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something.”
This title is quite fitting for you, Kate! Â Don’t sell yourself short, you’ve earned it.

This movie doesn’t grab me story wise, but it’s a great cast so I’m a bit curious. Don’t know if it’s enough for me to want to shell out cash to see it.

Yesterday (September 2nd) Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) was spotted in Beverly Hills leaving a medical center building and I must say, Kate was looking like a total knockout!  It’s not everyday that you see a person leaving the doctor’s looking so beautiful.  But, I suppose that when you are such a  natural beauty, you look amazing even at the doctor’s office.  Kate looks like royalty!  Yes, I love her.  And I can’t wait to see her in Whiteout!

Thoughts: This looks to me like a really long episode of CSI: Antarctica. I’m really not excited about this one at all even though I am a Kate Beckinsale fan.

Kate Beckinsale shows all of us women that it can be possible to look great after having one kid. I know there is no hope for me! She was seen leaving Barney’s in New York today looking so cute in that hat she is wearing. I can’t even believe that she was told she was too fat to film a scene in Pearl Harbor...
“I remember going to the fitting and trying on a few swimsuits for a scene… I felt fairly triumphant. [The costume designer] literally went grey in the face and said, ‘Do you want me to tell you how long you’ve got before this scene is shot?’
“By the time I arrived back at my hotel, I’d been faxed an incredibly rigorous gym schedule and a diet. Thank God for Ben Affleck! He was so candid about the producers doing the exact same thing to him. Once I realized it was happening to the boys, too… I was able to put it in perspective.”
I can’t even imagine a time when Kate looked fat…even in Underworld she looked amazing. Frankly, she makes me jealous that I can’t look like her.

Kate Beckinsale is the cover girl for the Inauguration Issue 2009 of Capitol File magazine. How cute does this classic look on Kate? This is an exclusive photo shoot the did with Kate to represent the first ladies of the White House.
In the interview they talk about Kate’s next movie, Nothing But The Truth, where she plays Rachel Armstrong, a Washington, DC-based reporter who reveals the identity of a CIA agent and then goes to jail for refusing to name her source. It’s set to be the break-out role for Kate who has played almost every role from every genre. But nothing has had them talking Academy Award winning until now.
Here are some highlights from the rest of the interview…
What was it like to film in a prison? If I hadn’t decided against a life of crime before, I definitely have now. They were quite frightening about “Don’t touch anything and always wash your hands.” The level of general filth, I didn’t really think hard about it, but the prison warden was really worried about us touching things and getting hepatitis or something. But it was quite interesting because the weird celebrity culture that we’re in, it doesn’t matter whether people are incredibly oppressed in prison, they still want me to autograph their Bible. You feel ridiculous dressed up in a very similar prison costume, and you know they’re all looking at you thinking, “She’s going home to her hotel, and we’re staying here.”
A large part of the film’s plot centers on a very daunting ethical question. Did you find yourself wondering, What would I do in that situation? I think that if you’re not the person involved, then it’s much easier to come at it from a hypothetical, intellectual place. I didn’t find anything particularly interesting in playing someone who is heroically standing up for a principle. As an actor, [you try to] find the personal, the emotional reasons. It’s almost as if you’re trying to play someone who’s saintly. There’s nothing more boring to watch than somebody going around making the right decisions all the time. As a woman and a mother, I had a very hard time with how long my character is in jail without seeing her son. I know that in terms of heroics, I probably would be less capable because I would be thinking of the effect on my child and I’d probably have to come home.
As you were promoting this political film, America was going through quite an interesting election. Did you follow it at all? I followed it in a very strange position of not being able to do anything about it whatsoever because I’m not an American citizen and couldn’t vote. It was impossible to not be caught up in it—it’s such an extraordinary period of time. And we don’t have debates in England, so that whole thing was very fascinating to me. But I was constantly trying to sit on people and get them to vote for Obama for me.
You do spend quite a lot of your time here in America. Have you ever thought about becoming an American citizen? I haven’t yet; I may at some point. A British friend of mine—a much older man who’s about the most British person I’ve ever met and has been here God knows how long—has just become an American citizen. He may not be American, but his children live here and he wanted to be part of voting on who’s going to be in power for them, which makes sense to me. I have to say I’ve never planned on living in America. I seem to have got myself here, to my amazement, married to an American—none of these things was I remotely anticipating. Maybe if I find myself still here in 10 or 15 years it would probably be silly not to be able to vote.

Kate Beckinsale wants to be Catwoman in the Dark Knight sequel.
Initial reports suggested that Rachel Weisz was up for the part, but Kate Beckinsaleconfessed that if the role is still open, she’d want to snag up the part.
She tells MTV.com, “Absolutely, that would be awesome. I’d love to do that.”
Speaking about her previous role in Underworld, she adds, “One of the things I’ve done wrong with my career is not have a massive game plan for it. I was very surprised to ever find myself even considered for an action movie. I’m like the literary, academic geek who’s not very good at sports, so it was amazingly shocking that anyone would ever do that. I like to be surprised.”
It will take a while before anybody is even seriously considered for the role in the next film. I still think Angelina Jolie would be perfect.

Now, I thought I was bad for not getting my license until I was 20. But Kate Beckinsale at 35, hasn’t passed her driver’s test at all. She recently admitted that she might have some hope since she mastered driving a golf cart.
“I’m looking forward to knowing how to drive because I get those anxiety dreams where I’m suddenly in control of a car on the freeway. I’m assuming those will go once I know how to drive. I drove a golf cart on holiday and did quite admirably with that. That’s a start.”
She says she has failed her writing part of the test, and is afraid that her daughter, Lily, might get her license before her.
“I applied for my permit and then I failed the written test. It was, ‘How many units of alcohol are you permitted to have.’ I don’t know that. My daughter is nine. Soon she will have passed her test, then she can drive me around. Or I’ll get one of those old persons’ motorized chairs.”
I can’t wait to see that!

Kate Beckinsale thinks she has found the secret to her marriage…always being dressed up. Kate says the reason that she won’t be caught without make up when she’s not working is because her husband, Len Wiseman, wouldn’t like it.
“I don’t like to walk around wearing no make-up with my hair rolled on top of my head on my days off. I think my husband would be a bit upset if I did. It’s nice to feel like you’re wooing the other person a bit, as once it degenerates into wearing yesterday’s sweatpants and farting on the sofa, you lose a bit of the spice. You’ve got to keep up the seduction phase - it’s fun.”
I am okay with the make up part, but it’s also nice to know that you can relax and be yourself sometimes too.

Kate Beckinsale is showing off her sexy self on December 2008 issue of UK Elle. Kate talks about her body image and dieting. Here are some highlights of the interview:
On her body type: “I am a lot more body confident now I’m in my thirties, and am in better shape, too.”
On her diet: “My typical daily diet is eggs or oatmeal for breakfast, a chicken or vegetable wrap for lunch, then fish and vegetables for dinner. But if someone turns up with cupcakes mid-afternoon, I’ll have one. I’m not aiming to be Gisele [Bundchen]. And I’d hate to be one of those people who won’t allow themselves a slice of birthday cake.”
On people obsessing about her body: “I’m amazed that people obsess over my body image so much. Why do we encourage this war on women’s bodies? It’s a horrendous way to live, and I refuse to.”

Kate Beckinsale is always speaking out on things that sometimes she should keep her mouth shut on. But, I do think she’s great as an actress and especially in Underworld. But in a recent interview she said she was done with the sequels of the franchise.
“I think they’re still going, they probably will. I’m not sure I will. I feel like I’ve played that character enough times that I don’t think I’d be excited to play the same character again. It’s a weird experience. I’ve never done that before, you’re playing the same character in two movies, and after two, I feel like I’m kind of done with that.”
No more of seeing Kate in tight leather? What? I don’t think anyone else could take her place in those movies!
