Kate Walsh‘s husband Alex Young has filed for divorce.� The couple have been married only 15 months.

Young’s filing cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.� Kate’s rep has issued the following statement:

“Papers have been filed to amicably end the marriage of executive Alex Young, and actress Kate Walsh. The couple remain on friendly terms and sincerely hope the media will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

I am really sad for them, but not surprised.� They only dated for four months before they got married – and they were engaged for three of the four!� That is not nearly enough time to get to know each other well enough for marriage!� I hope they look before they leap next time…

Wow, it wasn’t that long ago that Kate Walsh was on Cuddle Watch with Dave Annable of Brothers and Sisters, who has since been linked with co-star Emily VanCamp.��Whew, I can’t keep up!� And now�Walsh is engaged to 36-year old Fox studio exec Alex Young?� I thought they just started dating!� Is Hollywood time measured in dog years?

Walsh, 39, revealed the surprising news to Us magazine�during the ABC upfront presentation at New York’s Lincoln Center on Tuesday. “It happened a few days ago. And that�s all I can say,” she beamed, flashing Us her engagement ring. “I�m on cloud nine.�

Rumors continue to circulate about Brothers and Sisters hottie, Dave Annable and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Kate Walsh. They have been spotted on several occasions over the last few months behaving like more than just friends. Annable has denied rumors about a romance with co-star Sally Field.
