A warrant has been issued for newswoman Katie Couric for unpaid taxes dating back to 2003.

E! Online reports that The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is serious about Katie paying her unpaid tax bill - for $210.41.

Rep Matthew Hiltzik characterized the debt as a minor oversight, telling the New York Daily News that her bills were being sent to an old address. Couric’s on vacation, he added, and will settle the matter upon her return.

Are they going after her on principle?  She makes gazmillions of dollars a year - surely a couple hundred bucks is peanuts compared to what the State of New York regularly gets from her in income taxes!  Maybe someone at the tax department doesn’t like the job she’s doing on the CBS Evening News either!
