Well here’s one I didn’t expect to see. Keanu Reeves may be starring in a sequel to the Speed movies.

However, an AICN reader sent us a brief message (adequately contextualizing how he came across the following information), offering a tantalizing clue as to how Fox wants to get up to SPEED again. And…it may NOT be a remake?

Here’s what his message said:

There’s a scriptment floating around that reintroduces Jack Traven. So the studios are hoping to get Keanu back on board.�

For those who’ve forgotten (or never cared enough to remember), the “Jack Traven” character originated by Keanu in the first film did not appear in SPEED 2; Reeves was replaced by the relentlessly bland Jason Patric (starring in a new role).

I couldn’t care less about a sequel, my bet is that this is a just a goofy rumor. I think the public is smart enough… oh no, never mind this will be a hit.�

Keanu Reeves is in Moscow right now promoting his new movie The Day The Earth Stood Still. It looks like it has a promising cast with Jennifer Connelly starring with him. The movie is a remake of the 1950′s movie of the same name.

Keanu Reeves portrays Klaatu, an alien whose arrival on our planet triggers a global upheaval. As governments and scientists race to unravel the mystery behind the visitor�s appearance, a woman (Jennifer Connelly) and her young stepson get caught up in his mission � and come to understand the ramifications of Klaatu calling himself a �friend to the Earth.�

It seems like there is a bunch of remakes out right now. Keanu is usually good at getting people to watch movies so let’s hope it works for this one.

Keanu Reeves‘ birthday is today…he’s 44. But last night he was at the Ivy partying like it was his birthday. Keanu looks better than he used to. Even in this picture of him! I still think he’s a great actor and I can think about five movies that I liked that he was in. Rock on Keanu…rock on!

Keanu Reaves and Winona Ryder are getting pretty friendly with each other on the set of their new movie, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.�� Star Magazine says:

the two iconic stars have been spending lots of time in each other’s trailers.� “They are also always hugging on the set,” says a source. “The chemistry is really electric.”

There is something about them making out in their trailers on set that sounds very high school to me!� But there is also something about them that seems very well suited – edgy and kind of 1980s.�� Hopefully it works out!

Can men have a biological clock? If so, actor Keanu Reeves might have one chiming rather loudly now. The 43 year old has said he is ready, able and willing to father a child and looks forward to doing so.

The ‘Speed’ actor – who is rumoured to be dating ‘You’ve Got Mail’ actress Parker Posey – is ready to settle down, and is definitely planning to have children.

He said: “That doesn’t sound so bad. I wouldn’t mind getting up at two in the morning. Pick up a little one, ‘How’s it going man? Good luck! I’ll help you as much as I can.’ “

In 1999, Reeves was�about to be a parent with�Jennifer Syme,�but unfortunately, the couple had a child who was stillborn. Syme was tragically killed�in an automoblie accident 2 years later.
