Kenny Chesney isn’t the smartest guy around.  But he is about to be single again.  His girlfriend that he’s been with for two years, Amy was back home in Tennessee when Kenny took ESPN’s Jenn Brown (below) on a sexy getaway in Cancun.

The cheater spent the day all touchy feely on the beach and then spent a lot of time in their presidential suite at the hotel.

Sources told Star,

“They were touching and rubbing each other the whole time.  They definitely looked like lovers, like they didn’t have a care in the world.”

I just feel awful for Amy.  What a heartbreaker.

Kenny Chesney‘s concert documentary DVD, Summer In 3D, releases next week, so he went on Oprah to pimp it.  Oprah Winfrey can’t let anyone on her show without asking them a bunch of questions they probably don’t want to answer, so of course she asked Kenny about his brief 2005 marriage to Renee Zellweger.   Kenny said:

“I look at it as a box, my life as a box… so everything that I put in … learning how to play guitar – put in that box, friends I made – I put in that box. My career grew and everything around me, all the awards and all the songs I wrote and all the success, everything, I put in that box. And that box grew to this wonderful house.

You protect everything and all the relationships and all the people that helped you build that house… I protected that box and I didn’t know if I could do both.”

Kenny sure does know how to mix his metaphors.  He didn’t have time for Renee?  Didn’t trust her?   Didn’t want her in his box???

Could it be true?  Is country singer, Kenny Chesney part of the reason for Tony Romo’s sudden ‘dumping’ of Jessica Simpson?

If these sources are correct, then it could be true….

“She was giving him all her attention, and they seemed very intimate,” an eyewitness tells Star of Jessica and Kenny’s cabana chat. “They were sitting so close, their heads were together.”

Tony “looked real jealous that she was talking to Kenny,” says a source. He angrily confronted his girlfriend, but when she wouldn’t give him the time of day, he stormed off the beach.

Hmmmm, that is interesting. But of course Kenny Chesney is angrily denying the accusations,

“Tony’s a friend, and I wouldn’t flirt with a buddy’s girlfriend,” Chesney tells PEOPLE. “More importantly, Jessica was just being sweet and there was nothing else to it. It’s not funny. There were no problems. Everybody got along great. After the party, everybody went their own way and nobody thought anything more about it. Period. End of story.”

Well, of course he’s going to deny it.  Kenny doesn’t want that on his head!  But, then again….I wouldn’t be surprised if we get word down the road of Jessica Simpson and Kenny Chesney working on some country album together…..

I’m not sure what the allure of Kenny Chesney really is. I guess he looks kind of cute with his cowboy hat on.

Kenny went to the Playboy Club last night in Las Vegas after losing at the ACM Awards last night. It looks like he had a chance to forget about everything else but these girls! (I wouldn’t have recognized who he was at all without that cowboy hat on!) I am sure that I would have been mad if I was that girl and he was texting on his phone while dancing with me. What is he a celebrity?

If Kenny Chesney would have left Las Vegas last night with an Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year nod, it would have been his fifth consecutive win; but alas, we have Carrie Underwood, and the most-successful American Idol alum to-date came through with a mighty force.

Underwood looked stunning as she collected trophies for both Entertainer of the Year (the show’s top bill), and Top Female Vocalist.

I have never got the charm of Kenny Chesney, I like my country singers like Keith Urban, but Kenny has never sucked me in. He looks kinda weird to me! He is talking in the March 2009 issue of Playboy about how he’s had a great sex life sleeping with a lot of women to try to clear up the rumors that he is gay.

First, he explains how he can’t commit…and that he would rather blow his brains out…

�I have friends who have a normal family, kids and a dog, and I think I would blow my brains out.� It�s fine for them. But I�m such a free spirit, I feel more alive when I�ve got somewhere to go. I can stay on my boat for a few weeks if I have a guitar and a girl and a Bob Marley CD. After that, I�ve got to move around.�

Then he goes on to say how he and Renee Zellweger got married in 2005.

�I didn�t have any clue as to what true marriage meant. I was so used to committing to one thing � music � and then I had to totally commit to a second thing, marriage,� he said. �I didn�t know how to commit to both of them. It was a scary moment for me.�

But the decision of citing fraud in the marriage is what he hangs onto…

�I talked to my attorney and her attorney. In order for us to get an annulment, the legal papers could claim either physical abuse, which wasn�t true, or three or four other things that also weren�t true,� he said. �The best thing we could put in there was fraud. So I said, �All right, do it. Whatever.��

Country music award season voters apparently didn’t get the memo that now’s the time for change as there was no difference when it came to the king’s chair last night for the 42nd annual Country Music Assn. Awards in Nashville.� Kenny Chesney took home the top award for entertainer of the year for the fourth consecutive year.

Continuing their reigns as top male and top female performer of the year were Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, while the iconic George Strait won album of the year for his impressive Troubadour.

There were touching moments, like Carrie Underwood singing the tragic war ballad “Just a Dream” after saying “Mom it’s real hard to sing when you’re in the second row crying” from the podium.

Newcomer, trio Lady Antebellum took a trophy home for best new artist, while Sugarland was recognized as the vocal duo of the year.

Youngins Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler both performed, which unquestionably assure that whether you’re a fan of country music or not, this is a genre that’s climbing in sales.

Arguably the country’s biggest, well, country music festival, Stagecoach, has snagged the likes of Kid Rock, Reba McIntyre, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Chesney for their April 25-26 festival.

The festival also features Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Poco, Charlie Daniels Band, Darius Rucker, Earl Scruggs, Chris Cagle, Lady Antebellum, Reverend Horton Heat, Jeffrey Jeff Walker, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, Lynn Anderson, Doyle Lawson, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Danielle Peck, Dale Watson, Zac Brown Band, the Duhks, Waddie Mitchell, Randy Houser, Hot Club Of Cowtown and James Intveld.

To be honest, after Rock’s butchering of such a Southern classic as “Sweet Home Alabama” in this summer’s smash hit “All Summer Long”, I’m surprised to see the Detroit rock rapper added to a lineup with such historically traditional country acts.

Oh well. Tickets go on sale next Friday, Nov. 14th.

A� week later, same site, same place, same bat channel, the notoriously sick Coachella Music Festival will be taking place. Yee haw!

Kenny Chesney scored another career achievement this past sales week with his fifth number one album Lucky Old Sun, moving just over 176,000 units according to Soundscan knocking T.I. from his two-week reign atop the charts, moving Paper Trail to number 2 with another 132,000 (a 26% sales decrease from last week).

Singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne came in at an impressive number 3 with Gossip in the Grain moving 60,000 units.� Never heard of LaMontagne?� His 2004 debut peaked at No. 189, just to show you the following he’s built over the course of four years.
