The Keeping up with the Kardashian clan has taken their annual Christmas card photo and because no one in that family does anything that isn’t documented via twitter, Facebook, TV show or some other way to make money and enhance their brand – the holiday snapshot is available all over the net.

Kourtney and husband Scott Disick and their son Mason are on the far right. Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom are at the top of the stairs. Kendall, Kylie and (is it) Brandon Jenner are in front and Kim, mom Kris and dad Bruce Jenner are in the center of the staircase.

Grab foot, insert into mouth.  That’s (hopefully) how Khloe Kardashian feels following her comments on Monday’s Lopez Tonight. Speaking to host George Lopez about increased airport security measures, she “compared the invasive pat-downs and X-ray scans to being sexually assaulted.”  Khloe said:

“They are basically just raping you in public.”

This has, naturally, pissed off victims of sexual assault and those who advocate for them.   One group called Khloe’s words “ill-informed” and suggested:

“Maybe Khloe Kardashian is not educated enough on this subject to be talking about it in the context of airport security.”

Which is probably true.  Opportunist attorney Gloria Allred has even gotten in the act, saying:

“Words matter and the word ‘rape’ should be used with caution and with great respect for the victims who have been forced to endure it. It is completely inappropriate to use that word for scans or pat-downs at airports.”

And I’ve got to agree.  Using the word “rape” in this context waters down the serious meaning of the word.  Are the TSA pat downs invasive of personal space?  Sure.  Are the x-ray scanners way too revealing?  Probably.  But I really do think that it’s important to chose one’s words with care.  Khloe hasn’t commented one way or another on this yet; it shouldn’t be too hard for her to just acknowledge that she spoke without thinking, apologize and move on.

Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Usher and lots of other celebrities are not posting to their Twitter or Facebook accounts in support of Alicia Keys‘ Keep A Child Alive drive to raise $1,000,000 in recognition of World AIDS Day on December 1st.

“It’s really important and super-cool to use mediums that we naturally are on,” Keys said. “It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up. [...] It’s not that people don’t care or it’s not that people don’t want to do something, it’s that they never thought of it quite like that.”

The stars are staying digitally silent until the goal is reached but 3 days later and the total is nowhere near the million dollar mark. So what gives? Or more accurately what is preventing everyone from ponying up the cash?

I wonder if it’s simply that we are so over saturated by many celebs who use those pages as another kind of commercial to push yet another product, that as a group we are tuning them out (even if we are following them online.) Let’s be honest, twitter and Facebook can be like background noise – it’s there and you know it, you just don’t fully focus your attention on it.

Of course there is also the point that by making the stars give up their primary means of communication, you don’t have the 100 tweets and retweets a day reminding you to give up the cash.

I guess the thought was the silence would be deafening…? This could take a while.

Borders Books & Music in Century City, California kept up with the Kardashians as the sisters signed copies of their book, Kardashian Konfidential. Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian were all glammed up as usual and happily posed for photos and chatted with fans as they lined up to see the reality stars.

Khloe’s one shoulder dress was lovely and Kourtney donned a conservative pink top with black velvet pants but Kim put the zoom in the afternoon as she chose a sexy, curve hugging black and white dress to emphasize her famously talked about body.

Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian were a trio of sexy vixens for the grand opening of DASH in New York City.  I am quite used to seeing Kim and Kourtney shine while Khloe kind of fizzles in the background.  Not here!  Khloe looks HOT!  I am loving this look on her.  I think she needs to do this more.  It’s tough competition being sisters with Kim and Kourtney.  I am loving Kim’s peep toe’s though, she wins the “shoe contest.”

L.A. Lakers‘,  Lamar Odom just hired his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner to be his personal manager. Huh?!  Khloe Kardashian‘s mother is now her hubby’s manager guys.

Khloe and Lamar Making Unbreakable Scent For Everyone

Odom’s rep Eve Sarkisyan told TMZ,

“Kris Jenner now manages Lamar Odom. He has asked her to manage him off the court a few months ago.  Their first project together would be his and Khloe’s fragrance which is set to launch next year.”

Kris Jenner will be organizing Lamar’s paid appearances, setting up endorsement deals, and handling any other personal marketing activities for him.

I guess this is where they get the term “keeping it in the family”……

That entrepreneurial trio of K’s – Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian – are getting ready to launch their new Fall collection for Bebe, and as a teaser they each posted two of their favorite items.

As you can see from the preview pics, the collection features lots of nude, black and some animal prints… right on target for what’s in this fall.  Also, the line has been expanded to include accessories, some of which you can see here.   Nothing TOO terribly exciting here, but Khloe and Kim both call it “to die for” on their blogs.

I’m sorry, but what DON’T these girls sell?  Clothes, bathing suits, diet products, perfume, candles… am I forgetting anything?  What’s next, a Kardashians line of feminine products?  Ladies… your brand is starting to get seriously diluted soon, so ease up a bit before you do yourselves in.

Keeping up with the Kardashians’ multitude of product lines is hard enough already, but they’re about to add another to the mix.  Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have been hard at work on a new line of clothing for “curvy” women.  By which they might mean women who are shaped like Kim.  Or they could mean women who are shaped like normal people, not size zero celebrities and models who have no boobs or hips.   Which would be nice, but it’s also kind of depressing to think that “curvy” now just means “regular person.”

Anyhow.  The line will be called K-Dash and it will be launched in conjunction with QVC on New York’s Fashion’s Night Out, September 10.     Hopefully it will not look anything like this mess.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians season five is looking to be the biggest season ratings wise for the show.  Last night the hit E! show racked in about 4.7 million viewers which made it the series’ most watched season opener to date. Last night the premiere was the second most watched telecast in the history of the E! only behind the finale of last season.

Khloe Kardashian and her hubby, Lamar Odom are making a perfume that is supposed to be a hit for everyone.  Lamar shared the news with In Touch,

“My wife and I are working on a unisex fragrance. It’s most likely going to be called Unbreakable. The fragrance is supposed to be out for Valentine’s Day 2011.”

Great idea launching it on Valentine’s Day, that should definitely help boost the sales right off the get go.

When they aren’t creating signature scents, they are working on a reality show of their own AND making a baby,

“It’s something we want. It’s something that we work on all the time!”

I know, a little too much info but hey….  good for them!
