Kid Rock Hates Twitter

wenn2196628

Don’t expect Kid Rock to follow in the footsteps of Twitter-savvy celebs like Ashton Kutcher and John Mayer.  He hates it so bad that he uses an old-school, totally politically incorrect term to describe it:

“It’s gay. If one more person asks me if I have a Twitter, I’m going to tell them, ‘Twitter this [bleep], mother[bleep]er.’ I don’t have anything to say, and what I have to say is not that relevant. Anything that is relevant, I’m going to bottle it up and then squeeze it onto a record somewhere.”

OK then! I guess that settles that!  However I now feel strangely compelled to go Tweet about his comments….

Kid Rock And Where’s Waldo: Separated At Birth???

These pictures of Kid Rock in Austria drinking and smoking (why would he do anything else really) reminded me of someone! Where’s Waldo! Now we can play Where’s Waldo in all the pictures from Austria.

Judge Denies Kid Rock’s U.S.O. Community Service Request

Oh boo hoo! Remember last year when Kid Rock got in a fight at the Waffle House in Atlanta? Part of his punishment was to serve 80 hours of community service. He wants to serve those hours by performing for U.S. troops in the Middle East over the holidays, but the judge says no way. And Kid Rock is mad. He said:

“I really take it as a slap in the face, and really have trouble thinking of a better way to ‘serve the community.’ Apparently [the judge] thinks it’s more important that I do something else rather than sing, shake hands, take pictures and spend time with the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to protect the very freedom he and all of us live by.”

Are you kidding me? He can’t think of any better community service than… doing what he already does for a living? The judge concurs.

Georgia State Court Judge Alvin T. Wong, who denied the request Sept. 30, writes that Rock, has performed for the troops before and “giving him credit for something he would otherwise love to do in front of a camera completely defeats the punitive purpose of performing community service.”

Dude should be careful. If he doesn’t pick something appropriate, it sounds like the judge is going to assign him something, and given the tone of his statement it doesn’t look like it would be anything very fun.

Kid Rock, Brad Paisley, Reba, Kenny Chesney Added to Stagecoach

Arguably the country’s biggest, well, country music festival, Stagecoach, has snagged the likes of Kid Rock, Reba McIntyre, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Chesney for their April 25-26 festival.

The festival also features Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Poco, Charlie Daniels Band, Darius Rucker, Earl Scruggs, Chris Cagle, Lady Antebellum, Reverend Horton Heat, Jeffrey Jeff Walker, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, Lynn Anderson, Doyle Lawson, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Danielle Peck, Dale Watson, Zac Brown Band, the Duhks, Waddie Mitchell, Randy Houser, Hot Club Of Cowtown and James Intveld.

To be honest, after Rock’s butchering of such a Southern classic as “Sweet Home Alabama” in this summer’s smash hit “All Summer Long”, I’m surprised to see the Detroit rock rapper added to a lineup with such historically traditional country acts.

Oh well. Tickets go on sale next Friday, Nov. 14th.

A week later, same site, same place, same bat channel, the notoriously sick Coachella Music Festival will be taking place. Yee haw!

Taylor Swift & Kid Rock Among Performers for MTV Special Honoring Troops

Taylor Swift, Kid Rock, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy, Ludacris, Saving Abel, Nelly, and others will be performing on a cross-network special honoring our troops on October 24th at 8pm. Hosted by the awful Sway of the music & reality TV conglomerate, A Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the BRAVE will not only air on MTV’s various channels, but also on CNN Worldwide.

In addition to being performed before a live studio audience of vets and their family, the special will also include an interview with CNN international correspondent Michael Ware via satellite from Baghdad.

Kid Rock Will Have His Own Kind Of Beer

Kid Rock is so huge now that he is helping develop his own kind of beer. Kid Rock is going to have a hand in developing and marketing his own premium beer with Drinks Americas Holdings Ltd. And why did they choose Kid Rock for this?

“Kid Rock is a reflection of great American rock-and-roll music and the American spirit, and we think we can create a beer in that same image. There is no question in our mind that people will try a beer that Kid Rock will stand by and when they like it, a great and incredibly valuable trademark will be created

I can only imagine the names that he could come up with for the beer and the commercial will for sure have to be bleeped. Because he would say…’you never had a m….f….. beer like this!’ May be they will have to hire me for their marketing, that sounds like a winner!

Kid Rock Is Smart, Rebels Against Digital

If you’re heading to iTunes to cop your .mp4 of Kid Rock‘s new single “All Summer Long,” don’t waste your time. Sure, not every artist it on iTunes, but never has one been so deliberately against the digital download maven before. Or maybe it’s simply Kid trying to prove a point, stubborn or not.

The move has paid off, and his latest album American Jesus rocketed back into the top 10 from near obscurity (not even in the top 200 after its original #1 debut), a calculated move based on the idea that people would be willing to pay the full album price to own the song. It paid off!

“This whole thing wasn’t some attempt to change the way the industry works or some sh– like that. It was basically me knowing I had a good song, one that people would love when they heard it,” he explained. “I mean, people say iTunes is popular because it’s convenient, but so is McDonald’s that don’t mean people aren’t still making reservations to go eat at fancy restaurants too.

“I knew the track was solid it’s got two of the best songs of all time mashed up together [Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Sweet Home Alabama' and Warren Zevon's 'Werewolves of London'], it’s got great melodies, so really, my work was done,” he continued. “I knew people would hear it and know I wrote it. They’d know it was real, and there’d be that connection. And that’s what’s missing in music today. I think people don’t believe half the sh– they hear some rapper or some pop girl singing about … but with me, they do. And that’s why people have reacted the way they have to the song.”

Anyone saying the music industry is dead, speak no longer. I’m truly impressed! Reminds me of the days I’d go to a record store as a kid and buy cassette singles at $4-5 a pop.

Kid Rock Waffle House Brawl – Now On Video!

Kid Rock was sentenced this week for participating in a smackdown at a Waffle House restaurant outside of Atlanta last October.

What will a no-contest plea on a simple battery charge get you? A year of probation, a fine of $1,000, six hours of anger management classes and 80 hours of community service. Six hours of anger management? That won’t even begin to scratch the surface of whatever seething darkness thrives within Kid Rock!!

Check out the video of the incident, which just became available. Do you think his sentence was right, or did he deserve more or less?

Kid Rock Says He Only Attracts Bimbos

Kid Rock seems to be attracting a lot of attention lately and not the kind of attention he likes!

“If I could change one thing about myself, it would be to lose the bimbo attractor chip that God must have placed in me at birth.”

An example of one? Pamela Anderson. Yes, he says she is a bimbo. Go Kid Rock! But what does he say about their marriage?

“What can I say? I was in love with the chick. Did I think the marriage would last? Yes, I honestly thought it would. I was that much of an idiot, that f***ing blind.”

Maybe Kid Rock is the type of guy that is better off alone?
