’24′ Movie Set For 2012?

Brian Grazer the producer of the hit TV show 24 says the inevitable feature film should be out in 2012!

24 Spoilers recently caught a Tweet by super-producer Brian Grazer responding to a fan looking for information about the movie version of the popular television series. In his response, Grazer said that he recently spoke with star Kiefer Sutherland and the plan is to make the movie ready to be released next year. Last we heard about the project, Sutherland was saying that they hope to start production in January 2012 with Tony Scott in the director’s chair.

This is good news for fans of the show. Grazer may just be throwing hopes out there, but at least there is a drive to get the movie made. I’m sure Kiefer Sutherland is anxious to get back to work as the iconic Jack Bauer. I’ll keep you posted on this one!

Sutherland was joined on stage by Jim Gaffigan, Chris Noth and Jason Patric. Patric’s father, Jason Miller, is the playwright of the piece and the actor has spearheaded the revival of his father’s work.

Cancelled ’24′ Gives the Movie the Green Light

Jack Bauer

Yes 24 may be ending, but this gives the perfect opportunity for Fox to make the movie they’ve been planning.

According to the New Hollywood Reporter, the show’s producer Howard Gordon has given the film script the go ahead. It’ll be written by the same screenwriter who did State of Play and Shattered Glass, and could be out as soon “as early as next year, depending on how things come together,” said Gordon.

And the film is trying something completely different from the show by taking out the “real time” aspect. Gordon says over the years, that’s what has made the show so predictable.

“We’ve done everything we feel we can do with that character in this format,” Gordon said. “The opportunity [of a movie] is not to use the real-time aspect and also to do it on a scale the TV show never allowed.”

I’m more likely to watch a 2 hour movie than even one season of the show, so this sounds good to me. I’m sure fans will be clamoring to see the movie when it hits theaters.

’24′ Movie is Coming

24 Jack

The popular TV show 24 will soon be a feature film. The funny thing is, the show hasn’t ended yet.

Twentieth Century Fox‘s film division is scooping up its hit TV series, “24,” starring Kiefer Sutherland as the no-nonsense enemy to terrorists everywhere, and gunning to spin it off into a potential feature film franchise, Variety reported.

Screenwriter Bill Ray (“State of Play”) is maneuvering to send Bauer to Europe, and has been endorsed by Sutherland, according to intelligence reports.

It could take a long time, however, for “24″ to go into production, since the producers and cast are currently filming the eighth season of the show, and a ninth season is still a possibility. Fox insiders told Variety that a decision on renewing “24″ for another season could be based on ratings out this week.

It’s really one of those franchises that will keep making money as long as it can, so if they can go another couple of seasons I’m sure they will. It’s just a matter of time before they finally get to shooting the movie.

Kiefer Sutherland Is Not Back With Ex-Wife

Kiefer Sutherland in Soho

The rumors that Kiefer Sutherland had started up a romance with his ex-wife, model Kelly Winn are not true. The 24 star’s rep has made a statement denying that the two are back together.

[Kiefer] “is happily dating Siobhan Bonnouvrier,” who is the style director for Allure magazine, his rep tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.

“There is absolutely no truth to recent reports about Kiefer Sutherland reuniting with
his ex-wife Kelly Winn,” says the statement. “Mr. Sutherland and Ms. Winn have remained good friends since they separated in 1999.”

Kiefer and Kelly filed for divorce in 2004 and it was finalized in 2008.

I’m sure Kiefer’s new girlfriend, Siobhan, is happy to hear that he and the ex-wife aren’t trying to spark up old flames.

Drinks Are On Kiefer Sutherland!

Kiefer Sutherland Leaving Madeo

The cast and crew of 24 must love working with Kiefer Sutherland. After everyone from 24 wrapped up a shoot in San Pedro, CA, they stopped into The Spot, a local bar/restaurant to unwind.

According to an employee at the bar, Kiefer was throwing back scotch & Cokes and bought drinks for everybody in the joint — roughly 30 people. The total damage: $500. No food … all booze.

It gets even better.  After buying drinks for the whole place, Kiefer left a $200 tip.  Nice!

And don’t fret over whether or not Sutherland, who has a few DUIs in his record, drove home after all that fun.  He was smart and had a designated driver take him home.

Kiefer Sutherland Has An Addiction To Tattoos

Keifer Sutherland

Kiefer Sutherland is admitting he has an addiction to tattoos. Frankly, I don’t blame him. I have six now and I don’t think I’ll be slowing down any time soon. Kiefer has done a great job at keeping them hidden which can sometimes be sexier anyways.

I have a lot of tattoos – it’s kind of disease. You get the first one and then if it matters to you, you get more. I got my first tattoo when I was 16 and had just left home. I was really scared so a couple of friends and I got tattoos as a bonding thing. From then on, anytime I went through something in my life that mattered to me I had this desire to make a tattoo out of it.

I have a lot. There are times when it is difficult. When I work I have them covered up and sometimes see a picture of myself when I had none and think maybe I shouldn’t have had any. But most of the time it’s a nice map for myself about the journey of my life.

I love hearing about the stories behind people’s tattoos. It’s quite the journey to even get one. And it’s true what they say. Once you get one, you won’t stop.
