Here’s the fresh new trailer for the upcoming Roman Polanski film The Ghost Writer starring Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall.

This looks like it’s going to be a good movie, but I pretty much expect it to be, given it’s a Roman Polanski film. It’s strange seeing Kim Cattrall in this trailer with the accent, she does it so well it didn’t even click right away that it was her.

If you are going to say something about Kim Cattrall or her Sex And The City character Samantha Jones, remember this, don’t call her a “cougar”.  Sure Kim may have a penchant for younger men, but there’s more to her than her sex life.

She said: “Cougar is passe. I think we’re on to something else now. It’s not about kitten or cougar – we’re moving beyond those stereotypes.

“It’s about so much more than just being a woman on the prowl – there’s a lot more going on than that. We’ve done the work, let’s enjoy the party. Let’s not limit ourselves to labels. ‘Cougar’ makes it all feel one-dimensional. It’s not.”

“It’s why I feel ‘cougar’ is way over now. It’s gone beyond that. It’s about a fully realized woman who works and plays and is successful and does all those things on her own terms. That’s much more rounded than a cougar could ever be.”

Bravo to that Ms. Cattrall!  The term “cougar” while fun for the past few years, does seem a little dated already.

Here’s a bit of a spoiler for the upcoming Sex and the City sequel, don’t read if you don’t want to hear any plot details.

Thanks to Patricia Field, the stylist for the movie, we have the scoop on Carrie’s 80′s outfit. “It was in the beginning of the movie,” Field explained to People.

“Carrie was waiting to meet her girlfriends and she was thinking about when she first moved to New York in the ’80s and how she met Samantha and Charlotte. They’re all, in real time, meeting to go shopping. And in her flashback time, she is thinking of when she first met each one of them.”

When asked about Miley and Penelope Cruz’s guest appearances, Patricia said, “That’s in the story line, but I’m not going to tell that one,” Field teases. “But, it’s fun. Miley’s a very good character. She’s a really nice girl. She’s happy and with it! She’s a very cool girl.”

During the first movie the gals traveled to Mexico after Big left Carrie at the alter, and it looks like they’ll be doing some traveling for the sequel too!

Not news that I even care about, but I’m sure there are plenty of rabid fans loving the news about the fashion the ladies will be wearing. This movie will be a big hit just like the first one was.

We have already seen Sarah Jessica Parker on the first day of filming for the second Sex and the City Movie. Now, Kim Cattrall is joining the set, and she definitely brought her A game! Catrall is looking fabulous in the black dress and color popping heels. This woman is in her 50s and is looking fantastic. Kim will be reprising her role as sex kitten Samantha Jones in the newest SATC movie.

Much to the dismay of rabid fans everywhere, the upcoming sequel to Sex and the City is being delayed.

Filming in New York has already been pushed back until the end of August and now sources claim plans to film in Dubai have upset the government of the strict Muslim nation. A source tells Us Weekly, “The UAE authorities aren’t keen on the title because of the word ‘sex’.”

This isn’t a major setback, just a little longer to wait, I wouldn’t expect to see this out until summer of 2011.

Much to the joy to the millions of Sex And The City fans Kim Cattrall confirmed that there will indeed be a sequel to the first film.�

She appeared on Britain�s The Paul O�Grady Show yesterday, which Spice Girl Mel B. was guest-hosting. Mel decided to just ask Kim point blank: �Will there be a sequel?� And Kim replied, �Yes there will.��

Let the mania begin.�

Kim Cattrall attended the Roma Fiction Fest in Rome and it looks like she decided to go native with her outfit. I don’t find this ensemble flattering at all. She looks sloppy and extremely boring. Her makeup is all tarted up like she’s on a red carpet, but the rest of her, including her hair, looks like she’s about to go to a PTA fundraiser. Kim can do so much better, I think.

But enough about what I think – what do you think? Is Kim’s outfit a fashion hit or a miss?

Most moms don’t relish the thought of their daughters being filmed naked, but Kim Cattrall‘s mom is apparently more progressive than that. InTouch reports that speaking to the Sunday Mirror about her daughter’s role in the Sex and the City movie, 79 year old Shane Cattrall said:

“Kim is a role model for fiftysomething women.� Much has been made about her nudity in the film, but I think she looks fabulous.”

Now that’s a mom for you- supportive no matter what you choose to do!� Lucky Kim!

Foxy Sex and the City actress, Kim Cattrall is afraid of plastic surgery, more specifically the consequences that can come out of it.

In Hollywood celebrities do anything to look young and some plastic disasters are bound to happen. For example, the expressionless face of Nicole Kidman, Tara Reid�s stomach, Victoria Beckham�s breast implants and faces like Michael Jackson and Jocelyn Wildenstein.

So Kim is determined to stay away from plastic surgery and not give someone the power to screw up her face and body. It�s all about ageing gracefully for Kim and being a 51 year old woman I say she�s doing it well.

Actress Kim Cattrall, the lone hold out to making the Sex and The City movie, is channeling a little Samantha Jones and being completely upfront about doing the movie for the money.

She says, “It’s nice to step into Samantha’s skin again, but I’m only doing the film for the money. Samantha is very dear to me and I have such a wonderful time playing her, but I can’t say more for the experience than wanting financial security. We did it, and we did it well. But it was always about the money. When I made a stand about not being in the movie because I thought the money was terrible, there was a backlash of very negative things from some of my co-stars. The role is very much a double-edged sword.”

Sarah Jessica Parker, I think that dig was aimed at you.
