Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman are trying to rekindle some of the comedic magic they had as part of Cheers with a new comedy for ABC.

The veteran actresses are teaming up for a pilot called The Manzanis. Alley is a woman who moves “along with her Italian-American family” to an upscale neighborhood in New Jersey. The family is at odds with their new neighbors. Perlmanwill be Alley’s mother-in-law.

Alley and Perlman both won Emmys for their time on Cheers and each had short-lived sshow of their own. Alley with Fat Actress and Perlman with Pearl.

ABC is working the nostalgia factor for their comedies. Tim Allen‘s Last Man Standing will debut on the network this coming Tuesday, October 11th.

If it survives it’s competition (it’s on opposite NCIS, Glee and The Biggest Loser) and Alley’s show makes it past the pilot stage, the two shows could pair up for a throwback comedy night.

Wow! Who knew Kirstie Alley and Ralph Macchio were gonna be so great!

Dancing with The Stars season 12 kicked off last night with Macchio and Alley taking 1st and 2nd place for some high spirited fox trots and cha cha chas.

The 49 year-old Macchio, Karate Kid-ded his way to the front of the pack as he scored a 24 with the judges and earned praise. And how cute was he?

Alley winked at the crowd and adjusted her boobs as she starts her cha cha cha with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Scoring a 23, she was awesome!

Kirstie Alley taking this weight loss thing seriously.  Girl has lost 50 pounds already and she’s looking really good!  Kirstie is coming down from 230 lbs. She was Tweeting her joys and even posted a photo (above) to show he progress,

It’s no secret that Kirstie Alley was a coke head.  After all, she’s the international spokesperson for Scientology’s controversial Narconon recovery program.  So what was it like being addicted to cocaine?

“That is a bad drug because it makes you think you’re really smart and it makes you say really stupid things.  I wrote a journal when I was doing coke.  It was like, ‘This was so profound somebody’s gonna find this one day and it’s going to change their life.’  It was the dumbest s**t you’ve ever heard in your life.”

Now that’s hilarious, because it’s true.  I’ve never known someone high on coke who didn’t think they were being deep and important with, well, the dumbest s**it you ever heard in your life.

Good for Kirstie for getting clean!  Now we get to watch her battle her food addiction on her A&E show, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life.

This is one of the most random bits of celebrity trivia I’ve ever learned: Kirstie Alley keeps lemurs for pets! I was hoping they’d be roaming freely through her house, but no… they live in an enclosure in the yard. And she takes being a lemur mommy seriously. She has two full time caretakers for her lemurs and has written them into her will:

“These guys live 40 years — they are in my will…They are totally in my will because, you know, who would take care of them?”

We will no doubt see much more of the lemurs in Kirstie’s new show, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, premiering March 21 on A&E.  I might actually end up watching this show just for the lemurs!

Kirstie Alley is using her Twitter account as many celebs do to defend themselves and well, pretty much go to war.  Who is her target?  One of my personal faves, Conan O’Brien!

KIRSTIE ALLEY GETS HER OWN SHOW! AHHH!

Kirstie and her pal, Star Jones had their ‘kicks’ knocking down the late night funnyman:

“WHAT!!!! SOMEONE OUT THERE “ACTUALLY” MAKES FUN OF FAT CELEBRITIES? NOOOOOOO!!!!! I’M SHOCKED!!!! lol.”

She added: “I’ll tell you ONE B—- I’m gonna knck out next time I see her is CONAN O’B—- O’BRIAN..that guy acts like I bit his d— off.”

Star replied: “You know Conan probably “wanted some” and you chumped him…I know a few brothers from Brooklyn who owe me! LOL.”

And Kirstie shot back: “lol…maybe it’s because I wouldn’t go on his late late late late night show..who knows..the bitten d– makes more sense..lol.”

These ladies are going up against a man with a nightly audience on National television.  Not a smart move!  Watch Conan respond to Star and Kirstie HERE at PopEater! I’m warning you, great laughs are ahead!
