The fans demanded it and the studio is delivering, Twilight is coming back to theaters one day before the release of it’s sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Summit Entertainment announced today that they are re-releasing Twilight out in theaters on November 19th, which is the day before New Moon comes out.
They said in a statement, “Despite the first film already being on DVD, fans across the nation have been calling out to see the film once again on the big screen, and the studio is honoring their request.”
I’m actually pretty curious how much the movie will make being back in theaters, this will be a true test of the super-fans. This reminds me of the re-releasing of The Lord of the Rings films in theaters before The Return of the King, but in comparison on a pre-school level.
Chris Weitz, director of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, was interviewed by People magazine, here’s what he said about what he wants you to feel emotionally during the film.
“We’ve tried our best to deliver on the romantic scenes in the film, and I would like to be able to produce more tears than any movie before, if possible. If we could only weigh them with some kind of cubic tear measure!”
Chris also talked about how everyone’s lives have changed drastically from shooting Twilight to now New Moon. Referring to Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, he says, “What I’ve realized is that they have a very tough job – not just playing the characters that they play, but living lives that are now very much under scrutiny all the time.”
“To be honest, even making the movie is under a tremendous amount of scrutiny now, so that when the cast went back to Vancouver there were cameras everywhere,” he said. “Everyone knows where every set is going to be. It goes with the Internet and all the information is out there all the time, and whenever one of them is spotted it’s immediately Twittered.”
I guess he’s addressing teenage girls as the majority of the audience, I don’t see many other people crying at a cheesy movie like this.
Here’s the newest TV Spot for the upcoming sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
My friend who dragged me to the midnight showing of the first film asked if I wanted to go to the midnight screening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. I gave him my coldest stare, no words, he got the point.
Here’s yet another clip from the upcoming sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon, this time Edward is fighting.
I can’t help but feel underwhelmed yet again, I keep hoping something will peak my interest with these movies. Maybe the next film will be more engaging, it just feels so cheesy.
Here are three brand new posters for the upcoming sequel Twilight Saga: New Moon.
These posters seem to feature everyone in the movie who has a line, and maybe even some who don’t. I’m sure these are going to be the new wallpapers of many-a-teen’s desktops and cell phones.
He’s under-age girls, please stay calm! This movie is going to be terrible, but it’s going to make a ton of money because of all those squealing girls.
Nine Weeks ahead of time the film The Twilight Saga: New Moon is already selling out tickets!
Advance tickets sales for Summit Entertainment’s sequel vampire romance “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” are going so well that online tickers are starting to report sellouts of the earliest showtimes at many locations.
Nine weeks prior to the film’s Nov. 20 release, MovieTickets is reporting more than a dozen “New Moon” performances as complete sellouts.
No doubt the film is going to make a ton of money. If you want to see a midnight show you better start looking for your tickets now!
Here’s the new full trailer for the upcoming film The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
This trailer is far more impressive than those previously released. At least this time we can see where the story leads, and it seems to have at least a little more dramatic content than the previous teen love focused first entry. But really, this is still going to be bad.
Legions of young Twilight fans who want to be JUST LIKE BELLA might not want to follow so closely in Kristen Stewart’s footsteps. Kristen dropped out of high school, and is happy about it.
“I was glad to leave school. I couldn’t relate to kids my own age. They are mean, they don’t give you a chance. I think the social aspects, I haven’t missed out on. I am around people constantly. I meet hundreds of people at work. Once you have done with school, you realized it’s just a smaller version of life.”
Wow. I know she didn’t mean it this way, but can you imagine people leaving high school because people were mean? No one would ever finish! I sure wouldn’t have.
We should not expect Kristen to go back and get her diploma, either, because she’s already said she won’t. That’s too bad. Maybe she’ll change her mind someday.
I’m Nick Wolfwood and I’m bringing you a preview of the movies being released in the final months of 2009.

Rating: TBA
Trailer:
Release Date: November 20th, 2009
Thoughts: I didn’t think the first Twilight was a good movie. I do think the concept and story are intriguing but I think it’s poorly executed as a film. New Moon does look like a minor step up, but still not something that I’m excited to see in any way.

Kristen Stewart
When I first read this, I thought… ‘who wants to see Kristen Stewart naked?……’ but, then I remembered that this is going to make the little indie flick huge!
Welcome To The Riley’s is starring James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo. Kristen Stewart will play a stripper who brings their characters together. No, I am not sold on it for the Kristen Stewart stripping factor. I have no desire to see any part of her body..
Kristen on the other hand knows just what she’s doing….
“It’s an independent movie that nobody would normally see,” Kristen said, “and now it’s like, ‘Oh, let’s go see ‘Bella’ in this stripper movie. It’ll be crazy!’”
This movie will make a lot of money just for that fact. Kind of sad actually.
Here’s the latest trailer for the vampire film sequel Twilight Saga: New Moon.
It certainly looks like it covers more ground than the first film, but it certainly doesn’t excite me. It’s so obvious that this film is marketed to teenage girls.
Here’s a brand new clip from the upcoming sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon featuring Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Corny, and typical. I hope it helps ease the pain of waiting for all you Twilight fans out there. I was supposed to read the book but I think watching the first movie ruined it for me.
