‘The Simpsons’ Are Going Gaga For Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga will bring her music, costume changes and positive message to Springfield in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons titled “Lisa Goes Gaga.”

Lisa (voiced by Yeardley Smith) gets a pep talk, a song and a flash mob as Gaga tries to help her and the town with it’s low self-esteem. She also shares a smooch with Lisa’s mom, Marge.

“I play a little bit of a slut,” quips Gaga. “The apple doesn’t fall far from my artistic tree.”

Mother Monster has just recorded her part and said she was really trying to stay true to the honesty of the characters on the long running show.

“I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor,” she said.

Lady Gaga has a rather animated look sometimes with bright candy-colored hair and outrageous clothes so for her actual cartoon appearance in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, it may be hard for the creative team to top that.

Simpsons creator Matt Groening has confidence they will give Mother Monster the right look and says they are up for the challenge.

“It’s very hard to top reality with her, but I’m sure we’ll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe,” he said.

Gaga will play herself and Smith is in awe of working with her.

“This is extraordinary! I’m stunned that she has time in her schedule that she’s coming to our studio to record,” she told Broadway.com.

The episode will air in the Spring of 2012.

It Will Be A Holly Jolly Christmas With Lady Gaga & Barney’s

Little monsters will have a little extra joy in their stockings this year.

Mother monster herself, Lady Gaga, is set to spread some holiday cheer as she teams up with Barney’s for “Gaga’s Workshop.”

The music and fashion icon will take over both the Madison Avenue windows and the fifth floor of the retailer in mid-November and turn it into a Christmas wonderland replete with exclusive, small gift items she and Thierry Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti are designing.

“Barneys New York has also worked closely with Lady Gaga under the creative direction of Nicola Formichetti to design a range of exclusive, small gift items, which will be available for a limited time only at GAGA’S WORKSHOP,” the company said in a statement.

“In addition to GAGA’S WORKSHOP in New York, a selection of items from the collection will also be available at Barneys New York locations nationwide and online at Barneys.com.”

Barney’s is setting aside 25% of the sales for Gaga to donate to a charity of her choice. Even better.

I hope this is as amazing as it sounds!

Lady Gaga Rocks A Versace Mini!

Lady Gaga

When you’re as fashion forward as Lady Gaga, it’s hard to surprise folks with your sartorial choices.  However, that’s exactly what the Mother Monster did this week when she was spotted leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles.   She wore basic black platform stilettos by Louboutin and a black Versace mini; even her makeup was neutral.  Boring?  Hardly:  the dress’ oversized yellow and purple floral print makes it totally Gaga.

I completely ADORE this dress… nay, the entire look.  Not that I’m saying she should dress more normally or anything, but this is a good, occasional alternative for Gaga.

Is it my imagination or does she seem really thin here?  She looks like she’s lost a lot of weight.  What do you think?

Paws up little monsters! This will be quite a provocative collection of photos.

Lady Gaga Tells Howard Stern: ‘I Regret Every Line I Ever Did’ Of Cocaine

Lady Gaga finally sat down with Howard Stern and gave him a lengthy interview for his Sirius satellite radio show.

The 25 year-old singer/songwriter left no stone unturned as Stern probed into every aspect of her life and she opened up in depth about how she evolved into the performer she is today, her sex life, what all the money she’s making means to her and her past drug use.

Gaga and Stern both shared about their past drug use and both agreed that they did drugs at a time when they felt very lonely and unhappy.

“I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drug that made me feel I had a friend. I did it all alone in my apartment, while I wrote music. And I regret every line I ever did. So to any of the little sweethearts who are listening, don’t touch it. It’s the devil.”

She also told Howard and co-host Robin Quivers she really isn’t impressed with the amount of money she is making.

“I don’t care about money,” Gaga revealed. “My apartment in Brooklyn is smaller than this studio.”

Gaga also performed an acoustic version of her hits “Edge of Glory” and “Hair”

Stern was completely won over by her charm, honesty and her music declaring “Edge” was “one of the best” stripped down song versions on his show.

Listen to the entire interview here. There is language, so be forewarned.

Lady Gaga Has Tea For Japan

Lady Gaga had a cup of tea with the words “Pray for Japan” written on it during a press conference for the MTV Music Aid Japan event.

Gaga attended a charity event to aid the victims of the March 11th earthquake and following tsunami that left so many devastated.

The pop singer designed a bracelet she sells with all proceeds going for relief efforts to the people of Japan.

Lady Gaga Says Lawsuit For Alleged Japan Charity Scam Is “Without Merit”

Remember the bracelets that Lady Gaga was selling to raise funds for Japan relief?   Evidently no good deed goes unpunished.  Gaga has been slapped with a lawsuit alleging that this effort was actually a scam, and that she personally profited from the sale of the wristbands.

Let’s review:  the bracelets cost $5 each.  On top of that, Gaga’s website charges $3.99 in shipping and $0.60 in taxes.  The federal class action suit claims that Gaga charged inflated shipping costs and also kept part of the $5 for herself rather than donating all of the proceeds to charity.    It is not clear how the attorneys in the case, 1-800-LAW-FIRM, or the plaintiffs, know what exactly happened with the money.  Read the complaint here.

Gaga’s spokesperson, Holly Shakoor, had harsh words in response to this legal action:

‘This misguided lawsuit is without merit and unfortunately takes attention away from the kind deeds of the fans around the world who are supporting the people of Japan.  The entire five dollar donation made with the purchase of each bracelet is going to support the disaster relief.  No profit is being made on shipping costs. Sales tax charges were made in accordance with local legal requirements.

‘Lady Gaga has personally pledged her own funds to this cause and continues to support the victims of the disaster.’

The Mother Monster has reportedly made donations of about $3 million to the cause to date.

What do you think?  Did Gaga actually do wrong?  Or are some lawyers just trying to make a buck?  Honestly, $3.99 for shipping doesn’t seem like that much.   And keep in mind that she earned an estimated $90 million last year.   Do we really think Lady Gaga go to such lengths to to set up a charity scam to get a few extra dollars out of her fans?

Lady Gaga At The MTV VideoMusic Aid Japan Benefit (Photos + Video)

Lady Gaga kicked off the MTV Video Music Aid Japan benefit concert with an energetic mash-up of her hit songs “Born This Way” and “Edge of Glory.”

She performed in a black bikini and thank goodness she opted not to include her green-blue underarm hair and merkin this time.   Instead, she chose a much less amusing and totally creepy accessory:  crazy, anime eye patches.  Those things totally freak me out!

The two-hour show was a benefit for the Japanese Red Cross, who continues to provide aid to those displaced by the March 11 Japanese earthquake and tsunami.  Lady Gaga has been extremely committed to supporting this cause from the beginning.

WATCH: Weird Al Yankovic’s Lady Gaga Parody

Weird Al Yankovic takes on Lady Gaga and her best (or worst) sartorial offerings in his latest spoof “Perform This Way.”

Gaga initially said no to the parody but thankfully she found her sense of humor and Yankovic produced an homage to the “Born This Way” singer’s costuming and sense of outrageous visuals.

“My mama told me when I was hatched: Act like a superstar, save your allowance, buy a bubble dress, and someday you will go far,” he sings while his head is CGI’d onto a dancer’s body.

Yankovic doesn’t let the Madonna comparisons go without touching on them as well.

Even little monsters should find the humor in this.
