The mean streets of New York City were made a little brighter as Glee stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith strolled hand in hand earlier this week.

The 25 year-old Michele looked adorable in a summery dress as she held the hand of Monteith, 30; her on and off screen love as they shopped the sunny afternoon away.

The smitten Monteith helped out his petite girlfriend and ended up carrying her shopping bags as they headed back to their hotel. The twosome took in a hockey game later and were caught on camera smooching in the stands.

The future of Michele, Monteith and Chris Colfer‘s Glee characters will continue to have time in the fourth season as it was revealed during the FOX Upfronts this week the series will have a “show within a show” that follows the three grads in New York as they pursue their after high school dreams of stardom.

More star power is headed Glee‘s way as two A-List actresses were announced for guest spots on the upcoming fourth season of the show.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson were announced at the FOX upfronts in NYC and the ladies will drop in on the McKinley High students and graduates next year as the show transitions some of it’s lead characters to post-high-school life.

Although he kept specific plot points under wraps, FOX President Kevin Reilly says Glee is “poised for a real creative renaissance. Several characters are graduating, we’re going to have a show within a show, following some characters to New York to a school for the arts.”

The current characters heading to NY will (hopefully) include Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer).

Whether Parker & Hudson’s guest spots will interact with the students in Ohio or New York is not known but how awesome would it be to have SJP (the quintessential NY gal) take Rachel Berry under her wing and give her some Sex and The City advice.

Parker will be around for multiple episodes (a specific number of shows was not revealed) and Hudson is on tap for a six-episode arc.

Glee will move to Thursdays at 9pm after The X Factor for the fall TV season.

Glee‘s Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will face a very intimidating audition judge as they try to land post-high-school-graduation spots at NYADA.

The person standing between them and their dreams? One Carmen Tibideaux played by Whoopi Goldberg.

Goldberg will guest star on the hit FOX show beginning May 1st as Rachel and Kurt try to get in to the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts.

As judge Tibideaux, Goldberg’s character will fly in to Ohio for the duo’s audition process and is said to be around for a possible three-episode arc.

Glee returns from it’s long winter nap on Tuesday, April 10th.

Glee star Lea Michele chose a daring dress for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.  The silver Versace gown featured bandage strips on the bodice and a flowing skirt slit waaaaay up to there.  Yeah, right there.   Michele has great legs and should rightfully show them off as she sees fit, but once again I find that she’s just trying too hard.   We know you’re young and hot, girl, without you pointing it out to us at every opportunity.

Lea Michele was a fashion standout at the 38th Annual People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre on Wednesday, January 11th.

The Glee star wore a 20s inspired white fringe tea midi-length gown from the Marchesa Spring 2012 collection. The draped sleeves and gathered waist

Michele took home the win for Favorite TV Actress, Comedy and gave a shout out to her other costars.

“This is so amazing,” she said. “I want to dedicate this to my amazing cast — my glee club… I’m an only child, and now I have 11 other siblings.”

She also tweeted thanks to her fans.

“I CANNOT believe I just won!!!! You guys are the absolute best!!! Thank you so much for voting for me this is such an amazing blessing!!!”

Lea Michele walked the red carpet for the 2011 Glamour Women of the Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Monday night.

The 26 year-old chose a deep v-neck, champagne-colored Jenny Packham dress that was cinched in at the waist with a belt and sparkled with crystals.

Michele was given the Diva Next Door Award by her Glee costar and Broadway pal Jonathan Groff.

She told the magazine she wasn’t afraid of taking on the word diva.

“Women in powerful positions get labeled with the D word, but you have to use your diva-ness for good as a way to show your strengths,” Michele said.

Lea Michele and boyfriend Theo Stockman have split.

The Glee star and her Broadway actor beau had been dating for over a year and vacationed together in Hawaii in July.

The relationship just ran it’s course according to her publicist.

“They will always be friends,” the rep told People.

Michele told Cosmo UK earlier this year about what her perfect night with her then long-distance boyfriend Theo was like.

“Take a shower, put on a bathrobe, pour myself a glass of wine and Skype with Theo. That’s the best.”

Michele and the rest of Glee make their season 3 debut tonight at 8PM on FOX.

Lea Michele lands one of the coveted fall fashion issue September covers – her’s is for Harper’s Bazaar.

The actress is wearing a white Gucci jumpsuit with gold chain accents while giving you the over-the-shoulder look HB seems to favor for the lead photo (see the June Britney Spears image here and notice the similarities.)

Michele shares her future plans, being told she’s not ‘pretty enough,’ and she and her boyfriend live as quietly as possible in L.A.

On her career plans and strategy: “I don’t stop,” Lea says. “It’s my nature. People have to tell me to slow down. I plan on playing every role on Broadway. I want to do Evita. I want to do Sweeney Todd with [Glee costar] Chris Colfer. We want to do Wicked. I’ll be Elphaba and he wants to play ‘Guy-linda.’ I want to do movies, make music. Glee is only the beginning.”

On those who told her she wouldn’t make it because she didn’t conform to Hollywood’s beauty standards: “How many manag- ers told me, ‘Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough’? But I proved them wrong.”

On her personal life: “I have a small life,” she says. Besides hanging out with her Glee castmates — “I just want to be around them all day” — on a typical night, she and [boyfriend Theo] Stockman “cook dinner, have wine.”

At the end of season 3 of Glee, graduation will come for some of the cast.

Just who is going and who will stay has been a mystery until now. Show co-creator Ryan Murphy has given up three names who will not return after this year.

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer are all saying good-bye to McKinley High and will not return for the fourth year of the hit FOX show.

“You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year,” Murphy told THR.

They aren’t the only characters who will bid farewell to Mr. Schuester, Miss Pilsbury and Coach Sue.

Murphy also says that the September 20th premiere date will clearly establish who graduates and that “more characters are leaving than are staying.”

This will be hard for Gleeks to take, but Murphy has made no secret that he will keep the character’s ages in mind and shuffle them off when it’s right.

Lea Michele covers Cosmopolitan UK for June and once again, is asked about a nose job.

“Of course, I thought about it. I’m sooo thankful that I didn’t,” she told the magazine.

The Glee star also shared how she wasn’t quite as prim as her TV alter-ego Rachel Berry is in high school.

“I wasn’t a goody-goody,” Michele said. “I loved to have fun. I never did drugs. Acting always came first. I was lucky, because I really believed in who I was.”

And she says, she was sure Disney wasn’t an option for her, based on her looks.

“I knew I wasn’t going to end up on a Disney half-hour show,” the 24 year-old said. “I mean, look at me! I don’t look like those girls. I just wanted to do a guest appearance on something like Grey’s Anatomy.”

Now with all her success, she still isn’t planning on running wild. Her perfect night is much more low key than clubbing.

“Take a shower, put on a bathrobe, pour myself a glass of wine and Skype with Theo. That’s the best.”

Now, let’s put those nose job questions to rest – really!
