Freida Pinto took her luminous, beautiful self to The Grove on Wednesday for an appearance on Extra.  She chatted with host Mario Lopez about her new movie, Immortals.

Those of you who were looking forward to Pinto’s hot sex scene with co-star Henry Cavill might be a little disappointed to learn that some of the body parts on view don’t belong to her after all.

“It wasn’t really my butt,” she revealed.  “It was a butt double.”

You can catch Pinto (but not her butt) in theaters now:   Immortals opens today, November 11th.

Congrats to Mario Lopez and his gorgeous girlfriend, Courtney Laine Mazza!  They are having a baby!

“Mario is over the moon with joy since finding out he’s having a baby.  She’s approximately three months pregnant and is healthy and happy.”

Mario shared the happy news with friends at a big Super Bowl party,

“With a huge smile on his face and surrounded by friends and family, Mario announced he was having a baby and handed out pricey cigars. After the initial shock, everyone was thrilled by the news, giving Mario hugs and high-fives.”

Good for them!  I think they are going to have one beautiful baby…. Congrats you two!

Mario Lopez is hosting the 2009 Miss America pageant finals tonight at 8 pm on TLC. Las Vegas has already been celebrating the festivities all week with preliminary contests. The reigning Miss America 2008, Kirsten Haglund, will also be there to present the new Miss America her crown.

Because “pop” groups are sooooo popular right now, MTV is trying to find the best undiscovered talent in that genre with it’s new reality talent series.

From the Jonas Brothers to the Pussycat Dolls and Danity Kane, pop groups hold a special place in America’s heart providing a soundtrack to our lives. Now MTV sets out to find the next pop sensation to join these music superstars and Mario Lopez (host of MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew”) is taking the hosting reins for the new live music competition series “MTV’s Top Pop Group” premiering Thursday, September 11 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. Joining Mario in the studio will be backstage correspondent Marianela Pereyra. Celebrity judges and mentors for “MTV’s Top Pop Group” to be announced at a later date.

For a sneak peek at the nine talented groups from across the U.S., MTV will offer “MTV’s Top Pop Group: The Casting Special” on Thursday, August 28 at 9pm ET/PT before they head to Hollywood to compete. The one-hour special features host Mario Lopez as he introduces each of the groups providing viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at their audition and their personal lives.

I guess there just weren’t enough talent competitions out there, right?

Last night was the last episode of America’s Best Dance Crew as the remaining two crews went head to head to battle it out for top honors. This is Season 2 of the hit MTV show hosted by Mario Lopez with judges Shane Sparks, Lil Mama and JC Chasez. SoReal Cru battled Super Cr3w and they were both slammin’ in their own right. SoReal did a hard-hitting dance number while Super Cr3w was more street, break-dance, trick style.

A winner will be crowned on tonight’s episode of America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV. Will it be Houston’s SoReal Cru or Vegas’ Super Cr3w who takes it home?

Super Cr3w is a conglomerate of b-boys from three West Coast dance crews — Full Force, Battle Monkeys and Knucklehead Zoo — who battled each other eight years ago and have been friends ever since. Heading into America’s Best Dance Crew 2, members Ronnie Rey, Do-Knock, Abenamar Honrubia, Rockadile, Alex Murda and Vex are ready to do battle and obliterate the competition.

Despite the fact that he had heart surgery when he was 4 years old, Ronnie Rey came in first at Red Bull BC One World Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa. Do-Knock appeared on Star Search — and won! — while Abenamar Honrubia won Battle of the Year in 2005 and 2006. But their individual accomplishments don’t stop there. Rockadile has won a whopping 35 competitions, including Underdog 3, What Lies Beneath, Who Runs the Deuce and Break It Down. Alex Murda was the IBE (Holland) one-on-one champion and the City Vs. City (Chicago) one-on-one champion. Meanwhile, racking up kudos of his own, Vex has no trouble keeping up with his counterparts and expressing himself onstage.

The members of Houston’s SoReal — Monkiee Boi, Eye Candy, Pat Lam, Brianbuyoiyoi, Jackstar, Burna and Good Foot — were all friends before they formed this close-knit dance crew. And the group continues to grow as they meet more and more friends that fit right in.

Off the dance floor, Brianbuyoiyoi likes to write “cheesy” poems. For Jackstar, backstage freestyling is a must before a big show to help her get the “shakies” out. When it comes to Burna, he spends his free time working out, allowing him to eat an entire box of cereal every morning. And as for Good Foot, who grew up wanting to be a modern-day Michael Jackson, he can “slide, glide” and move his feet “like crazy.”

Mario Lopez and his big weinermobile made an appearance at Oscar Meyer’s 125th anniversary celebration in Times Square on Tuesday.��� The event was also a fundraiser for nationwide food bank network America’s Second Harvest, which received a $100,000 donation from the company.

As you can tell by the apron, Mario’s job was to be a good little soldier at the grill and serve ‘em up hot at this sausage fest. � I’m sure that he had the right tool for the job, though.� I wonder if the menu was strictly Oscar Meyer, or whether it included any Johnsonville products?

(So much for promising myself that I wouldn’t go all Austin Powers on this post…..)
