WATCH: ‘The Avengers’ First Trailer!

Gather together all the costumed heroes you can find and put them in one movie – that’s The Avengers.

Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evan have a bit of a snark-off, Samuel L. Jackson is a badass, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo are damn sexy and Scarlett Johansson looks flawless – yep, that’s about right.

The trailer has too many characters to focus on (even ditching some and quieting Renner completely) and tries to give us a preview of the action in too short of a time to really allow the viewer any true sense of the movie’s tone.

It’s simply too short for a movie that has so many interesting and wonderful actors and plot lines.

It’s still early – the release date is May 4, 2012 – and the director is Joss Whedon so I will give it a chance.

So much star power (cool) and so much of it seen before (not so cool).

What do you think? Is this trailer kinda disappointing? Or all sorts of awesome?

Mark Ruffalo’s ‘The Avengers’ Hulk Revealed (Image)

Here’s the first image of Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk in the upcoming movie The Avengers in the form of concept art. Click on the full banner below to see all the details:

This is cool concept art, the full banner showing all of the members is reminiscent of movie posters of the past. Mark Ruffalo will play a good Hulk I’m betting, although I’ve yet to see him really fly off the handle in a movie. By the way, if you saw Captain America: The First Avenger but didn’t stay through the end of the credits to see the teaser trailer for The Avengers, you missed out! Hopefully they will release it online soon. The Avengers will be released on May 4th, 2012.

Miranda Kerr & Orlando Bloom At Global Green USA Awards

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom hung tight to each other at the Global Green USA’s 15th Annual Millennium Awards in Santa Monica, California on Saturday, June 4th.

Both Kerr and Bloom are active in promoting a greener lifestyle and Bloom has been a part of the Global Green foundation for a few years.

Kyra Segwick, Kevin Bacon, Adrian Grenier and Mark Ruffalo were also at the event, with Ruffalo receiving an award for bringing attention to hydrofracking – the practice of drilling for natural gas under shale beds, that is considered by many to be a threat to clean water.

From the Global Green website: “The Millennium Awards were established in 1996 to recognize and herald those whose lives and livelihood embody Global Green USA’s mission of “fostering a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure world.” The Awards were designed to honor individuals and organizations who recognize the important connection between humankind and nature, to celebrate their success and inspire others to make such exceptional behavior the norm.”

Mark Ruffalo is a Terrorist!? Homeland Security Thinks So!

Mark Ruffalo has been added to the U.S. Terror Watch List.

Actor Mark Ruffalo has reportedly been added to a terror advisory watchlist by Pennsylvania’s Office of Homeland Security, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The star of Shutter Island and The Kids Are All Right ended up in the proverbial scope of U.S. officials after earlier this year organizing screenings of writer-director Josh Fox‘s controversial documentary Gasland and voicing his opposition to natural gas drilling.

Ruffalo, who recently wrapped writer-director Kenneth Lonergan‘s feature film drama Margaret with Matt Damon and Anna Paquin, isn’t fazed by the surprise notoriety, tellingGQ magazine that he finds the situation “pretty f–kin’ funny.”

It is pretty funny! Goes to show how little it takes to be put on a list, makes you wonder how many lists you might be on for things you say out loud. It’s crazy that stuff like this happens in a country where we have the “freedom” to say whatever we want.

Mark Ruffalo Is Adorable In Berlin – Photos

Mark Ruffalo was in Berlin to do a photocall for The Kids Are All Right at Hotel Adlon.  I  haven’t seen this one yet, but I am in love with Mark and then Julianne Moore and Annette Beninng are also in it.  They are fabulous!

Mostly, I just love these snaps of Mark Ruffalo.  He is too adorable and completely hot.  He looks like he just rolled out of bed with the scruffy face and wild hair.  I love it.

Julianne Moore Is Fabulous For Allure

If you haven’t seen The Kids Are All Right, go grab a copy at Blockbuster on Blu-ray today!

Teaser Poster for Scorsese’s Next Film ‘Shutter Island’

shutterislandposter

Here’s the new early teaser poster for Martin Scorsese‘s newest film Shutter Island.

Laeta Kalogridis’ adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s 2004 novel, in which Ruffalo will play U.S. Marshal Chuck Aule, who travels with his new partner (DiCaprio) to the eponymous Massachusetts island in 1954. As they investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane, they encounter a web of lies, a hurricane and a deadly inmate riot that leaves them trapped on the island.

Anything Scorsese makes is something I’m interested in seeing, he’s one of the few directors alive that I can say that about. He just knows how to create engaging drama.
