Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Re-Team for ‘Turkey Bowl’

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are set to team up once again in the new comedy Turkey Bowl.

Warner Bros has closed a deal forTurkey Bowl, a comedy that will re-team The Other Guys stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as guys from football-obsessed towns who lead rival teams in an annual tackle football game for bragging and trash-talking rights. The tackle games are grandiose, and I’m told they plan to pack it with fun cameos, just the way they did during the rival broadcaster gang fights in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

I thought they were a great duo in The Other Guys, so this is positive news. I’m really hoping they manage to pull off the same level of hilarity for Turkey Bowl. They’re clearly hooking in to the football crazed American public. I seriously don’t expect anything amazing here, but the dynamics between these two is certainly better than many buddy cop pairing attempts in the past. Given the title and subject matter, I’d expect to see this one around Thanksgiving of 2012.

Justin Bieber and Mark Wahlberg Doing a Basketball Movie Together

Justin Bieber and Mark Wahlberg are collaborating to make a basketball movie together! Here’s what Wahlberg said about it in an interview with Vulture:

And is there somebody, sort of unexpected, that you want to work with?
Yeah, Justin Bieber and I are going to do a movie together …

Is that actually true?
Well, we’re putting it together. Yeah. We’re doing it at Paramount. We pitched them the idea and, you know, we’re talking about doing it. He loves the idea. He’s been sending me video, he sent me a video of himself, and, yeah, I think he’s really talented.

Can you tell me more?
No, we’re going to do something interesting.

Like a drama or a comedy?
More of a drama. It’s interesting, right? You want to know. They’ll probably announce it. They may announce it fairly soon … kind of like a reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment. You know, I don’t want to say.

Definitely not the kind of news I expected to hear, but I’m not entirely surprised. Justin Bieber‘s empire will probably keep growing for quite some time. Collaborating with the extremely busy Wahlberg is a smart move, I just wonder how long it will be before they actually get this thing off the ground. Fact is, there is a guaranteed audience, so it’s only a matter of time.

Joel McHale and Giovanni Ribisi Join Mark Wahlberg in ‘Ted’

Joel McHale and Giovanni Ribisi are set to join Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis in Ted, the new movie from the creator of the hit show Family Guy, Seth McFarlane.

The Family Guy creator’s funny looking upcoming comedy Ted just got funnier looking. Joining such names as Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and Giovanni Ribisi will be the star of the much lauded and loved NBC sitcom Community, Joel McHale.

Seth McFarlane is responsible for Family Guy and American Dad, two of the funniest shows ever on TV so this movie could turn out to be great. Not to mention this growing cast of funny people. I have high hopes for this movie, did I mention it’s about a teddy bear that comes to life? This one’s out in 2012, but I’ll keep you posted as more info comes in.

Mark Wahlberg ‘The Fighter’ Premiere – Photos

The Fighter pushed it’s way down Hollywood Boulevard to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for a premiere on Monday December 6th. Actors Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg, who star as real life pugilistic half-brothers Dickey Eklund and Mickey “Irish” Ward, descended the red carpet in very different styles.

Wahlberg wore a more traditional suit and tie while Bale opted for a less formal track jacket and jeans. Costar Amy Adams knocked everyone out with her white v-neck dress and flowing strawberry blonde locks.

The Fighter opens Friday December 10th.

‘Uncharted’ to Star Mark Wahlberg as Nathan Drake

Mark Wahlberg has accepted the role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming Video Game adaptation Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

He is reportedly stepping into the role of Nathan Drake, the hard-hitting adventurer in the popular PlayStation 3 games, “Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune” (2007) and “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” (2009). Something of a modern-day version of Indiana Jones, Drake faces off against sadistic warlords and supernatural monsters as he hunts treasures around the globe.

The film will be helmed by an unlikely choice: David O. Russell, the prickly filmmaker who directed Wahlberg along with Christian Bale in upcoming drama, “The Fighter,” and is best known for going off on a rant at Lily Tomlin on the set of “I Heart Huckabees.”

“I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is so off the charts,” the artist formerly known as “Marky Mark” told the entertainment website.

There are plenty of people who are upset about this casting choice, arguing that Nathan Fillion (Who looks exactly like the video game character) should be playing this character. While Fillion would definitely fit the role I’m actually really glad about the casting. My reasoning is pretty clear, I’ve seen the upcoming film The Fighter and it’s the best movie I’ve seen all year (so far). It’s sure to get Oscar nods and this is the same pairing of director David O. Russell and Mark Wahlberg. Could Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune be the first video game adaptation that actually turns out to be a classic? My hopes for that possibility are higher then I ever though possible.

Mark Wahlberg Wants To Smack Somebody

I love Mark Wahlberg and I think he’s such a good daddy.  He’s always out with his kids and that is so super hot.  When I saw these photos of him with the kids out at The Grove to catch a movie, I laughed.  He look like he’s about to smack that guy waving at the kids.

Mark is so freaking tough in his movies, you know he’d take that guy down in a heartbeat if he could get away with it.  The kids look all annoyed too.

I’ve heard some buzz that Mark is going to be nominated for best actor for his role in The Fighter, as well as the movie will get a best picture nod.  I can’t wait to see it!  It’s getting really good reviews from the critics!

Mark Wahlberg Playing ‘The Crow’?

Mark Wahlberg has been offered the role of The Crow in the upcoming remake of the 1994 film that starred the ill-fated Brandon Lee.

Bloody Disgusting has confirmed exclusively that Mark Wahlberg was offered the lead role in Relativity Media’s The Crow

Really? Mark Wahlberg? Really? A remake? Pure disappointment here, what are they thinking? Trying to capitalize on Emo? I sincerely hope he turns it down. What do you think?

‘The Fighter’ Trailer with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming film The Fighter starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale.

This movie doesn’t strike me as something new and original, more like a movie that could have been made at any point in the last 20 years. Good actors, but nothing too exciting other than that. Seeing this trailer has convinced me that Christian Bale enjoys torturing himself by losing and gaining extreme amounts of weight.

Mark Wahlberg and Eva Mendes Rock Paris – Photos

Eva Mendes and Mark Wahlberg looked fabulous at the photocall for Very Bad Cops in Paris.  The Ritz hotel hosted the event.   Eva is absolutely glowing.  That almost looks like a pregnancy glow.  I haven’t heard any of those rumors yet… we shall see.  Mark naturally looks delicious.  He always does, right?

Mark Wahlberg Makes “Daddy” SEXY

By the way, I adore Eva’s dress.  It’s so sexy and very classy all at the same time.  A little more modest than the Calvin Klein ads we are used to, eh?
