Entering a treatment facility for a third time, Matthew Perry is taking a precautionary step to keep his addictions in check.

The Mr. Sunshine star, 41, has chosen to enter rehab for ongoing recovery in his battle with prescription pills and alcohol substance abuse.

“There was no relapse,” a source told People magazine. Perry is just continuing his personal journey that began with rehab stints in 1997 and 2001.

“I’m making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery,” he says. “Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web.”

Perhaps he’s feeling a little wobbly or has stressors in his life that he fears will trigger a relapse; whatever the case, addressing his sobriety and taking his continued recovery seriously is something to be applauded.

ormer Friends star, Matthew Perry is coming back to prime time.  He will play a sports arena manager in San Diego who’s having a midlife crisis in Mr. Sunshine and Allison Janney will co-star.  Did you see her on LOST last week?

Look for the show on ABC.  I know I will give it a shot.  Too many of my faves are ending and I will need to fill in the blanks, hopefully this one will be a winner.

On Friday night (Sept 4th), Matthew Perry was spotted outside Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. My question is, what is he wearing?  What is with this look?  Matthew Perry, you look like a homeless person!  What are you thinking?  You have a super sexy image to uphold.  Is this total rebellion?  Was this a secret photo shoot, posing as a transient?  Wow.  He looks like he just woke up on a park bench!

I just watched 17 Again last night and loved it!  Matthew looked great in it.  This look on the other hand is simply frightening.  Eeek.

17 Again, the movie starring Zac Efron and Matthew Perry is being released in theaters next Friday. Until we actually go see the movie we can see this cute featurette starring both Zac and Matthew. I even giggled at the end of this one. It looks like Zac may have a future in the comedy.

Matthew Perry and Lauren Graham dated briefly in 2002 but now rumors are flying that they have rekindled their romance at Ellen Degeneres‘ 50th Birthday party a couple of weeks ago.

A party goer tells the National Enquirer, “Matt and Lauren are officially a couple – again. They didn’t hide their affection for each other at Ellen’s party, holding hands, whispering and giggling. It was quite apparent to everyone they’re definitely more than just good friends.”

I would love to see these two together! I hope this one is true!

Matthew Perry and Zac Efron are slated to play young and old versions of each other in the new movie 17.� In another Big-like remake, Perry wakes up one day and suddenly finds himself seventeen and realizes, yes!� Chris Hansen can’t bust him now!� I’m kidding, but his character decides to enroll in the same school as his children to establish a closer bond with them.� Sounds super cheese-ball.�

The Hollywood Reporter:

Matthew Perry will play a grown-up version of Zac Efron in “17,” New Line’s teen comedy being directed by Burr Steers. Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are producing via their Offspring Entertainment banner.

In a scenario that turns the concept of “Big” on its head, the Jason Filardi-penned script follows a middle-age father who wakes up to find he’s 17 again. In order to be close to his children, he enrolls in the same school as them.

Production begins early next month.

Efron was attached to star when the project was set up. Leslie Mann, who plays Perry’s wife, came on board in October.

Perry (NBC’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”) recently wrapped “The Laws of Motion,” an indie drama also starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Hilary Swank and Ben Foster.
