Mel Gibson was supposed to be doing a cameo for Hangover 2 but at the literal last minute, they had a change of heart and dumped him.

Director Todd Phillips attempted to explain,

“I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew.”

Word around the set suggests that Zach Galifianakis was the main reason Mel Gibson got axed.  There were other complaints, but Zach was the main voice.  Also it should be noted that Bradley Coopper was not among the protesters.  I think it would actually make good business sense to put Mel Gibson in the role.

One source pointed out,

“It’s such hypocrisy. They cast a convicted rapist [Mike Tyson] but 86′d Mel.”

Good point.  What do you think?  Did they screw up?  Or are you glad that you don’t have to see Mel Gibson in one of the funniest movies ever?

Mel Gibson has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming comedy sequel The Hangover 2. Unlike Mike Tyson in the first one he will not be appearing as himself.

Mel Gibson will make an appearance in Hangover 2 because Jodie Foster tells Extra, “he really liked the humor in that first movie”. But won’t be playing himself. News reports say he’ll portray a larger than life character like Tom Cruise’s Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder.

With the recent exposure of his complete asinine behavior it seems like an odd choice. At least Mike Tyson had the guts to play himself in the first film.

So when I first heard this, I was like… HUH?  But it actually does make sense.  Britney Spears has been Mel Gibson’s support system through this whole insane fiasco that is going down with Oksana Grigorieva.

Brit’s friends said that she’s been there for Mel who has been pouring out his heart to her, saying that he fears for his sanity.

“Mel has been talking to her a lot.  They speak on the phone all the time, usually late at night.”

So why Britney?  Well, Mel was there for Brit when she had her meltdown, shaving her head… etc.  So she’s just reciprocating that friendship.

Mel Gibson Proves Just How Disgustingly Racist He Is

“Mel was one of the only people who reached out to help Britney when she was at her lowest point, and she believes that demonstrates what a loving and wonderful man he is.  She wants people to give him a second chance — just like he gave her one when everyone else turned away.”

That is sweet, and I am glad that Britney is able to be a support system.  I just hope that Mel isn’t going to snap on her…..

The chickens are coming home to roost for Mel Gibson, it seems.  His talent agency, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, dropped him last week.

Although WME has not confirmed the split, it seems that it came before the leaked tape of Mel’s racist rant at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva hit the interwebs.  Coincidentally, or maybe not, Mel’s agent, Ed Limato, passed away on July 3.   Perhaps the agency decided, and probably rightly so, that they didn’t want to make anyone else work with him if Limato was gone.  Can you just imagine some manager trying to shop that account around to the agents?  No way!

TMZ is reporting that Mel Gibson has been caught on tape, yelling at Oksana Grigorieva,

“You look like a f*king pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of ni**ers it will be your fault.”

She secretly recorded these audio tapes during a huge fight over their breakup and custody battle.

On the tapes, Mel Gibson calls Oksana a “whore” and a “c**t” as well.

The tapes are now in the judges hands to help Oksana’s side.

Mel has also sent Oksana a number of incendiary emails that she never deleted.  So it looks like (as if it’s even needed) that she’s got mounds of evidence, proving what a psycho Mel is.

Remember when Mel went crazy on a police officer when he arrested for a DUI,

“F**king Jews … The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”

You can only say that, if you are that kind of a person.  We all know what kind os a man he is.  It’s just too bad that Oksana had to go through this…..

So here’s some further scoop on the Mel Gibson restraining order thing:  he and Oksana Grigorieva each have one on each other.  Apparently Oksana went to court first, saying that Mel had gotten violent with her (big surprise there).   Not to be out-lawyered, Mel then filed for and was granted an order “banning her from saying anything about him and their relationship.”   And why, I wonder?  What d’ya have to hide, Mel?  Inquiring minds want to know…

Mel Gibson has reportedly filed for a restraining order against his hottie mistress and baby mama Oksana Grigorieva.

I totally missed it, but these two evidently broke up in April.   I wonder what happened between them?  He seemed so proud of his catch.  Maybe she found out just what a lunatic he is.  Their baby, Lucia, is eight months old.

Mel Gibson‘s new film How I Spent My Summer Vacation (that caused riots in Mexico) is going to happen regardless of the issues as it finds a major distribution deal.

Icon Entertainment International has arranged a number of distribution deals for How I Spent My Summer.

The film stars Gibson as a criminal sent to a notoriously violent prison and forced to do whatever it takes to survive. The film doesn’t begin shooting until March, but family members of inmates at the shooting location, the Ignacio Allende Prison in Veracruz, are already protesting the removal of their kin at the film’s expense. Considering the movie’s massive pre-sale success at the Berlin Film Festival, I doubt Gibson and his team will let the situation hinder production.

Hopefully people’s lives aren’t too disturbed by the shooting of the film. Sounds like it could be an interesting film, Gibson is certainly getting back into acting in a big way. He can do whatever he wants with his kind of success.

Mel Gibson stars in the new movie Edge of Darkness, “an emotionally charged thriller set at the intersection of politics and big business.”   Mel gets thrown around in this movie about as much as he has in the past, but this time, he says, it’s different.

“It’s getting harder. You wake up the next day like road kill, even though it’s just pretend fighting. Having some 25-year-old guy jamming you into walls and stuff wreaks havoc with your lumbar. I usually book a chiropractor in advance because you know it’s gonna suck.”

I’m pretty sure it would suck to be pretend beat up at any age, but at 54, I’m sure Mel’s feeling it plenty. Edge of Darkness opens on January 29th.  Check out the trailer here.
