Michael Bay Says Steven Spielberg Wanted Megan Fox Fired From ‘Transformers’

If you didn’t know any better, you’d have to wonder if Megan Fox is still in the Transformers movie out this summer because no one can stop talking about her.

Case in point, Michael Bay is taking interview time to clarify who it was that wanted Fox fired from Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon.

After Fox spoke to Wonderland magazine and said that Bay wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for,” the director told GQ that producer Steven Spielberg wasn’t having anymore of her nonsense.

“She was in a different world, on her BlackBerry. You gotta stay focused. And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven said, ‘Fire her right now,’” Bay said.

Bay says he wasn’t really bothered by Fox running her mouth in the press but he takes a moment to mock-apologize to the actress, who apparently didn’t like long hours, according to the filmmaker.

“I wasn’t hurt, because I know that’s just Megan. Megan loves to get a response. And she does it in kind of the wrong way. I’m sorry, Megan. I’m sorry I made you work twelve hours. I’m sorry that I’m making you show up on time. Movies are not always warm and fuzzy.”

While Fox and Spielberg did not address the situation, Bay went on to say that everything is water under the bridge now.

“She [Megan] sent me a text three months ago. She said, “I hope you’re doing well.” I responded, “Who is this?” She goes, “Megan, you dork!” I said, “Oh, well, thank you, hope you’re well.” When you’re days and months on a set, it’s like a family. You say rude things and you make up.”

Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley comes out June 29th.

Shia LaBeouf Talks About Why Megan Fox Left ‘Transformers’

Shia LaBeouf is coming clean with his take on why Megan Fox is no longer part of the Transformers films.

Fox, who left/was fired/quit/whatever, made no secret she was unhappy on the set and did not appreciate director Michael Bay‘s approach (and crew members called out her behavior while defending him.) Whatever went down between the two, they eventually parted ways professionally and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was brought in as the new love interest for the upcoming third film.

One person who stayed silent through the whole thing was LaBeouf. Until now, the 24 year-old actor has kept his opinion to himself about why the super sultry Fox took flight from the flick.

“Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,” the Los Angeles Times quoted LaBeouf as saying.

“Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It’s summer. It’s Michael’s style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it.”

He continued “When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There’s no time for [LaBeouf assumes a gentle voice] ‘I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.’”

Shia says Megan’s replacement is much more on board for the Bay experience.

“Rosie comes with this Victoria’s Secret background, and she’s comfortable with it, so she can get down with Mike’s way of working and it makes the whole set vibe very different,” he said.

‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Teaser Trailer Premiers

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming sequel Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Pretty cool re-write of history. Too bad this trailer tells us absolutely nothing about the story-line, other than the fact that the movie’s bad guy is Shockwave. Hope it’s better than part 2.

First ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Trailer Coming With ‘Narnia’

Michael Bay is promising the first teaser trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon with the release of The Chronicles of Narina: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader on December 10th. He said in a recent interview:

I will give full details of my process and why I liked 3D in the next week right before the Transformers announcement piece comes out on Tron and Narnia.

Michael Bay has a record of broken promises thought, but hopefully this is true.  And hopefully this next film will be better than the second Transformers.

First Look at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in ‘Transformers 3′

Here are the first images of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Transformers 3, the replacement for Megan Fox in the film.

She does look great, but will she be any better than Megan Fox? I doubt it, but Michael Bay clearly doesn’t care a whole lot about performance quality in his leading ladies.

Michael Bay Reveals Villain For Transformers 3

Director Michael Bay is trying to make up for the failure that was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.  How will he do that?  Well he spoke with USA Today, revealing two major perks for the upcoming third installment of the franchise.

Transformers 3 will be in 3D, which should thrill fans everywhere.  And the icing on the cake is that the fan favorite villain, Shockwave will be featured in this flick.

Megan Fox Has Been Replaced For Transformers 3

Sounds good to me.  I know a lot of fans who will be thrilled with this news!

We already knew that Megan Fox was replaced and to most, that was a very good thing.  See who replaced her here.

Megan Fox Replaced by Victoria Secret Model in ‘Transformers 3′

Megan Fox is out and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is in. The Victoria Secret model looks to be stepping into Fox‘s shoes in the upcoming Transformers 3.

I know you all wept bitter tears when Megan Fox departed from the Transformers 3 set due to Michael Bay being, well, Michael Bay. And I know you thought they’d never be able to replace her.

But guess what? Megan Fox is being replaced by a Victoria’s Secret model. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Most likely. I know that you’ll miss her stilted line deliveries and spirited interviews in publications where she reveals that she’s in no way a slut, is a crazy lady, has OCD, and views herself as a partial prostitute. Or something of that nature. But now you’ll get a demure Victoria’s Secret model who can barely read cue-cards. So I think the big winner here is Michael Bay. Not only does he get to replace the biggest liability of the series with someone who has no acting experience, but he gets to hang around Jason Statham on set.

This teaches all future females cast based on looks to stay on Michael Bay‘s good side if they want to keep their job. I think anybody else would be an improvement, Megan Fox is not a good actor.

Michael Bay and Dreamworks Eye New Six Movie Sci-Fi Series

picture-2174361829PB059_2007_MTV_Movi

There’s a new sci-fi book and movie series coming down the pipeline. The first book is called I Am Number Four and Michael Bay and Dreamworks want it.

DreamWorks is firming up a deal to preemptively acquire screen rights to “I Am Number Four,” the first of a six-book science fiction book series that has “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” director Michael Bay aboard to produce and possibly direct.

The franchise is about a group of nine earthbound alien teens who escaped their planet just before it was destroyed by a hostile species. While the high school-aged kids assimilate, the title character discovers that he is being hunted by the enemy that blew up his planet.

I really wish it weren’t Michael Bay, I want to see a good story and that’s just not something he delivers. Hopefully somebody else will end up directing.

‘Transformers 2′ Breaks Wednesday Opening Record with $55 Million

transformers_revenge-of-the-fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has broken the record for the biggest Wednesday movie opening in film history.

Grossing north of $55 million, Paramount’s sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” easily scored the best opening day ever for a Wednesday release at the domestic box office.

Previous record-holder was “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” which grossed $44.2 million in its first day.

Par will release an official Wednesday number Thursday morning.

“Transformers 2,” playing in more than 4,200 theaters in the U.S., has a strong shot at eclipsing the $152.4 million earned by “Spider-Man 2″ in its first five days. That film opened on the same Wednesday in 2004.

That’s a lot of money! Imagine what it’s going to make over the weekend! This is looking to be the biggest money maker of the year, unless Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince can top it in July.
