‘Arrested Development’ Heading Back To TV & A Movie Is In The Works

Arrested Development fans are getting closer to the long-awaited movie of the cancelled series and on Sunday they were given even more good news.

A fourth season – a mini season – is now coming together as creator Mitch Hurwitz confirmed that he is working on the project at the New Yorker Festival on October 2nd.

“Just creatively, I have been working on the screenplay for a long time and found that as time went by, there was so much more to the story,” explained Hurwitz. “In fact, where everyone’s been for five years became a big part of the story.

“So in working on the screenplay, I found even if I just gave five minutes per character to that back story, we were halfway through the movie before the characters got together.”

Although fans are quick to hop on to any morsel – it’s not a done deal. Hurwitz said he and director/producer Ron Howard were at “80 percent” of the way to a definite answer on the film, but there is a caveat:

“We don’t completely own the property, there are business people involved and studios and that kind of thing,” Hurwitz said of the snag.

Star Jason Bateman tweeted to fans more definitive news.

“It’s true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ’13. VERY excited!” Bateman said.

Reuniting Bateman, Will Arnet, Jeffrey Tambor, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera and all the cast would be quite a feat but hopefully they can make it happen.

Funny New ‘Youth in Revolt’ Trailer

Youth in Revolt

Here’s the new theatrical trailer for the upcoming comedy Youth in Revolt starring Michael Cera.

Ok, so Michael Cera may be stuck with this schtick, but he’s really good at it. This is definitely looking like it will be a funny one, if not overly formulaic.

New ‘Youth in Revolt’ Poster Gets an Explosion and a Girl

Here’s the brand new poster for the upcoming comedy Youth in Revolt starring Michael Cera.

This movie will probably be hysterical, at least that’s what I’m hoping. Michael Cera is a really funny guy, hopefully the script is high quality, it’s release date gives me doubts. January releases tend to be throw-away kinds of films.

Thoughts: Michael Cera has come up as one of the best young comedic actors in the last few years. He’s consistently funny and this movie is probably going to be a continuation of his antics. I’m looking forward to this one.

Cera is the funniest 20 year old I know of, he knows comic timing like few seasoned comedians do.

Michael Cera Finally On-Board for ‘Arrested Development’ Movie

ceraarrested-development

After many delays it seems that Michael Cera is finally going to sign on for the Arrested Development movie.

Nameless inside sources have apparently told E! OnlinesWatch With KristinthatMichael Cerahas buckled and agreed to board theArrested Developmentmovie. I suspect the film would have happened in some fashion even without him, but this should make the fans happier and more optimistic at least. I like Michael. Hes genuinely charming, I think.

Great news! If the movie is half as funny as the TV show was it’s going to be worth seeing.

Michael Cera Flips Out On Set – Video

Here’s the video of Michael Cera flipping out on the set of his new movie Youth in Revolt.

Cera is known for his fake outbursts. This one was obviously sparked by the Christian Bale incident last week.
