Milla Jovovich Wows In Warsaw For Lexus Fashion Night

Milla Jovovich returned to her Eastern European roots this weekend as a special guest at the opening of Lexus Fashion Night in Warsaw, Poland.   Milla exuded simple glamour in a pink, draped dress and silver heels.

You might not think of Warsaw when you think “fashion,” but Lexus has been organizing Fashion Night there since 2005.  It’s an opportunity for Polish designers to showcase their latest collections.  Lexus takes the opportunity to show off a few new things as well:  this year they presented the Lexus CT 200h, a new hybrid model.

Javier Bardem And His ‘Biutiful’ Premiere (Photos)

Actor Javier Bardem walked the red carpet to premiere Biutiful at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 14th.  The film is nominated for a 2011 Golden Globe in Best Foreign Language Film and Bardem already earned a Best Actor trophy at the Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of the tragic hero.

The star would like to take a turn on Glee after working with creator Ryan Murphy on the summer hit Eat Pray Love but no offer has been confirmed for Bardem as yet:

“I want to do it. I want to do it! I told Ryan several times I want to play this heavy metal rock ‘n’ roll star, but I don’t think he has the guts to do it. No, of course he does – because I sing really bad. I think that’s the whole point.” He added: “We had a blast figuring out what I could be… but I haven’t received any script. So when am I appearing on Glee? I don’t know.”

Lots of photos of the stars who came out for the premiere including Milla Jovovich, Melanie Griffiith, Nia Vardalos and Carla Ortiz are under.

Milla Jovovich Is No Girly Girl

Resident Evil:  Afterlife topped the box office this past weekend, and no wonder:  Milla Jovovich is back as zombie-whomping Alice in this fourth installment in the series.  She talked to Parade about what inspires her to kick so much butt.

On finding unexpected influences for her character: “On the first Resident Evil, Paul [W.S. Anderson, director and Milla's husband] was talking to me about actors to draw from, and he was mentioning male action stars like Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood. I didn’t completely get it. I remember going to do some recording for the second movie and my voice freaked me out because it sounded so girly. So I ended up lowering it and re-recording the whole movie. It really changed everything because I seemed completely different. So that’s when I channeled Clint and Steve to find Alice.”

On getting seriously into the action: “I was a real kind of fantasy geek growing up and watching Kung-Fu theater with my dad every Sunday. I always had this dream of being one of those ninjas that hops from tree to tree. I love to challenge myself, and I don’t cut myself any slack. Paul would have been more than happy to let me use a stunt double a couple of times. But I insisted on doing the big scenes myself. This is my passion. That girl Alice is a part of me and that’s why I love going back to her.”

Milla Jovovich Confirms Yet Another ‘Resident Evil’ Sequel

Milla Jovovich has already confirmed another sequel in the Resident Evil series just one day after the opening weekend of the most recent film Resident Evil: Afterlife.

It’s the biggest movie in the franchise,” Milla Jovovich told Vulture. “So we’re definitely going to make another one.”

Reportedly, Jovovich’s husband, director/producer Paul W.S. Anderson, already has ideas for a fifth film, but that he might solicit fan input as well. Saying that the team is planning to talk to fans via “Twitter and stuff” about what characters they want in the film, Jovovich says that the creation of the next film will be “a more interactive process.”

I’m not surprised at all, these movies seem to have a consistent audience. Now, I haven’t seen RE: Afterlife yet, but I hear it’s a stinker just like the last two. Yet I still want to see it regardless of that fact, and THAT is why these movies keep making money.

‘The Three Musketeers 3D’ Cast and Teaser Poster Revealed!

The Three Musketeers 3D is coming to theaters in 2011, here’s the first look at the cast and the brand new teaser poster.

Over the past few months we’ve been hearing about Paul WS Anderson’s 3D version of the classic, The Three Musketeers. According to THR, casting is underway and an Oscar winner and a slew of familiar faces have signed on for the film. Expect to see Christoph Waltz, Milla Jovovich, Mads Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans, and Logan Lerman all in Anderson’s epic adaptation.

The story of The Three Musketeers centers on D’Artagnan, a young man who leaves home to become a member of the fighting force of the French king’s royal household. Along the way, he makes friends with three of the force’s best — and most disgraced — members: Athos, Porthos and Aramis, whose creed of friendship is “All for one and one for all!” The story was published in 1844 and written by Alexandre Dumas.

Paul W. S. Anderson is quite simply one of those directors who’s all about flash and bang, not depth and quality. He’s responsible for such movies as Death Race, AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and the upcoming Resident Evil: Afterlife. I’m not expecting anything more from this Three Musketeers remake but I’ll still watch it, much like the rest of his work.

Shattering New ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’ Poster

Here’s the new poster for the upcoming Resident Evil: Afterlife in 3D.

As much as the last film didn’t thrill me in any way, I’m actually looking forward to this one. Seems like they’ve gone back to the roots like the original. Plus the 3D technology should really enhance the experience, I’m not expecting a great movie, but a popcorn flick is always fun.
