Mischa Barton was in the works of making a comeback after her short stint in rehab and it well, that just crashed and burned.  The CW has cut filming for it’s new show, The Beautiful Life.  They only got a chance of a whole 2 episodes!  But, with only 1.1 million peeps watching, they pulled the plug.

The show was pretty much based on Ashton Kutcher’s modeling days and well, I guess no one really cared.  SO, lesson learned.  Don’t do Ahston Kutcher stuff!

Hopefully Mischa will pick up a new job on something a little more ’sound.’  The girl needs to catch a good break.  Best of luck girl!

For now The CW will fill The Beautiful Life time slot with reruns of the new Melrose Place.  Maybe that will help boost Melrose ratings…..??

Mischa Barton went through a very public hospitalization in July of this year, and she is finally talking out about it. Mischa was said to have been held on a 5150 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in LA, meaning she was either a threat to herself or to others.

“I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once,”

Mischa explained that she had to do a lot of traveling for work, but also had to have dental surgery without pain medication.

“I had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn’t take those during work,” she said of the procedure. “So it’s been a nightmare.”

Why in the world would you not have pain medication for dental surgery? Why have the surgery while traveling, why not wait until you got home? Anyways, Mischa said it was the combination of the traveling, dental work sans meds, and the stress of a new show, The Beautiful Life, that lead to her incident in July.

“I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while,” she reveals. “Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel really in control.”

And finally, while she admits things got “pretty bad” there for a while, it was blown way out of proportion since it was in L.A. instead of NYC.

“The funny thing is, if all this happened in New York, no one would care,” she says. “New York lets you be who you are, and people aren’t as judgmental. I’m so glad to be back here.”

Oh Mischa, it wasn’t blown out of proportion, no one was really all that surprised that you went a little coocoo. Sometimes you just need a little break, with a 72 hour mandatory hold to clear your mind and to have a little rest. It’s like a mini vacation!

Mischa Barton is fresh out of the hospital where she did a quickie rehab and is back at work.  Today she was snapped on the set of The Beautiful Life, where she plays a strung out model.  I still think it’s too soon for her to be back at work, especially in that role.  I was happy to see her eating something between takes.  That is a relief.  The girl needs to keep eating.  Get healthy!

I know they are going for the supermodel look here, but doesn’t that dress look more like a Pretty Woman outfit?  And I must add that those boot things she is wearing are terrible and they are hers!  Mischa, ditch the ucky boots, you’re too cute for those!

All we’ve been hearing from Mischa Barton’s publicist, and Ashton Kutcher, the producer of her new show The Beautiful Life, since she was released from the hospital, is that she is doing well. But now, some of her friends are telling a different story.

One friend told Chicago’s Sun Times

‘She’s on the verge of another breakdown — one I think could be even more serious than the last one. … She cries for no reason.”

Another expressed concern about Mischa starting work so soon after being released.

”There still are issues. Mischa’s just not herself at all. I think she’s gone back to work too soon.”

Mischa was being held at Cedars Sinai Medical Center last month for over a week due to what is assumed to be psychological issues. It was rumored she was being held originally because she was a danger to herself or others.

Just a few days after being released that Mischa was on the set of her new television series The Beautiful Life for the CW where she plays Sonja Stone, a model addicted to pills.

Mischa Barton has been living through a real life hell of her own.  Unfortunately she is ditching the rehab and returning to work next week.  Mischa will begin filming the CW’s latest show, The Beautiful Life.  Her character is a pill-popping supermodel.  Gee, I wonder if that’s such a good idea, a little too close to home if you ask me.

I hope that Mischa can actually handle this job.  There is no way she can be fully recovered from her suicidal tendencies and the drug and alcohol problems.  Getting into character for the show is only going to worsen a dangerous situation.

Actress and headband designer Mischa Barton was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center due to a “medical condition” on Wednesday evening after calling the police.  While, due to HIPPA law, it is illegal for the hospital to release information on a client, it is rumored that she is being held on a “5150″ hold and usually those held under this are kept under observation for 72 hours.

“A 5150 is considered a psychiatric emergency, when a person is deemed a danger to themselves, to others or is gravely disabled,” explains L.A.-based psychiatrist Daniel B. Borenstein, M.D., who’s not involved in the case. “A serious risk of suicide is a primary reason for the hold, as well as those suffering from severe depression or schizophrenia.”

People can voluntarily be treated for longer than 72 hours, but not against their will.

After all this time, Mischa’s rep made a statement.  They must be good at their job because they are not giving any information other than what we already know.

“Ms. Barton was safely transferred to medical treatment for which she remains hospitalized, as per the recommendation of her doctor,”

When she does get out, Mischa will begin filming The Beautiful Life: TBL for the CW.  Her rep said that her participation in the show

“will ultimately be contingent upon her progress and doctor’s orders.”

We just hope that Mischa gets better.

O.C. star, Mischa Barton has been battling some serious demons that have landed her in a psych ward at Cedar’s-Sinai medical center in Los Angeles.

Mischa’s friends are worried about her,

“She has been on a destructive path for a while now. Her drug and alcohol [use] has gotten to a point where it drove people away.”

“I don’t think she knows her limits,” adds the pal.

Mischa missed the premiere to her big comeback movie, Homecoming in New York.  That is so sad, she put in all that hard work and now she’s missing the glory of it all.  Morgan J. Freeman is the director and he is feeling the sadness for Mischa too,

“I along with everyone on the ‘Homecoming’ team are saddened to hear that Mischa Barton will not be able to attend the film’s premiere tonight in New York,” he said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Thursday. “Her performance in ‘Homecoming’ is fantastic, and she will be missed at our premiere.”

There is a possibility that Mischa could be released tomorrow (July 18th) if she is considered stable or demands to leave.  Or she could volunteer to stay and receive treatment.  I really hope she tries to get help.  REAL help.  Mischa Barton is a young, beautiful actress and she has a lot of potential.  These stories always break my heart.  Young stars just can’t seem to handle the fame and fortune.  Just look at the pictures below and you can see the sadness, the issues eating her alive.

Mischa had better days… she is just looking so careless lately. Mischa Barton shows that anyone can love their body and show it off on the May 2009 cover of the UK version of Cosmopolitan. In the interview she talks about criticism of her body, the pressure she feels to look good, the women she admires, being single, and her secret to happiness. Here are the highlights:

On the constant remarks about her size: “Surely there are more important issues than if someone has cellulite? And I don’t understand the point of people looking for bad things. Why bother? I know it’s human nature to want to pick on other people, but I find it a little shallow.”

On the pressure to look good: “I think women can be terribly critical of other women. I don’t think most men would even notice if you put on some weight … Beauty is about more than looks. It’s about the way you carry yourself and how you treat people. It’s your personality that matters and I think most men would agree.”

On how she feels about the way she looks now: “It’s human nature to be self-critical, but it’s possible to like the way you look. I’m happy now – I wouldn’t change my body, and I couldn’t anyway. The only way to be happy and be a more enjoyable person to be around is to embrace what you’ve got … Everyone has issues about their body, but I feel confident now. I’m healthy and happy.”

On whether she’d change to look like someone else: “There are women I admire – I think Liv Tyler is beautiful. But that’s as far as it goes. I know I’m never going to look like her and I’m not into surgery, or changing the way I look. I think it’s better to embrace what you have and play on your good points.”

On being single: “I’m working on [getting confident] but I’ve grown so much in the past six months. I’ve grown immensely … It’s because I’ve been single. After I broke up with a boyfriend last year [prior to Luke Pritchard from the Kooks], I felt empowered. I’ve forced myself to grow up – I really felt like it was time. And nothing makes you grow like finding out that somebody or something isn’t good for you. You can pick out what you need in life and the kind of person who can complement your personality, and if they’re not doing it, I don’t think there’s any point wasting time. I’ve had great relationships and my exes have all been friends, but for now I’m happy being single.”

On the secret to happiness: “[The secret to finding happiness is] to always play on your strong points and not listen to negativity. I think people see celebs as having these perfect lives. But that’s not true. Instead, what counts is that the people in your life – your family and friends – think you’re a nice person.”

I’m glad that it sounds like Mischa is getting things back together for her life. And these pictures are hot!

Actress Mischa Barton does not believe in marriage and plans to stay single and enjoy it for a long time until the right guy finally comes and changes everything or knocks her up. The 23 year-old, who recently broke up with her boyfriend Luke Pritchard, thinks marriage puts too much pressure on couples.

Mischa said: “I’m not a huge fan of marriage. It puts too much pressure on the relationship. People try harder until they’re married and then you see a lot of relationships fall apart because it’s the last step. There’s nothing left.”

“Whoever is going to be the father of my children I’ll probably inevitably marry - but that’s not on the cards any time soon.”

It seems to me like Mischa is afraid of commitment. She is young, she definitely should enjoy singlehood the best she can. Mischa deserves to have fun and be irresponsible. No rush into getting into a serious relationship with someone who you are not sure is the one, getting stuck with that person and be unhappy forever. Yes, I’m not a fan of marriage either!!

Mischa Barton has asked to gain weight or lose a role in a new tv show she has been cast in.  Mischa has been cast as a supermodel in a new show, A Beautiful Life, by the CW network.

The network is worried that if Mischa stays as skinny as she is now it may set the wrong example to the viewers. (I know that this world is already too jaded about what is the proper body sizes already.)

A source says, “The producers are very mindful that their target audience is teenage girls so it’s important to not send out the wrong message. Mischa has the part on condition she does not lose weight - they want her to put weight on if she can.”

I think that she can stand to gain some weight anyways. And I would love it if someone told me to gain weight for my job.

Actress Mischa Barton, who is rumored to be dating Luke Pritchard, doesn�t believe in one night stands or having sex with someone you are not committed to. So, Mischa wants to say you have to be her boyfriend, fianc� or husband before you can get her to take her clothes off.

Mischa said: “I only ever have sex when I am in a relationship. And I am currently single, so I haven’t been having that much sex recently.”

“I find men with confidence and a great sense of humor very attractive. Those are the two factors that matter the most.”

She said: “I hang out with a lot of guy friends. Men are more straightforward than women. There is no b***hiness. I tend to spend most of my time learning to play the guitar.”

We would have to agree, men with confidence and a good sense of humor are absolutely irresistible and they are often a lot easier to talk to then females. Men are so much easier to get along with because at least you know what they say means exactly what they said, no hidden meanings�

Mischa Barton is the April 2009 issue of FHM magazine is trying to bring the sexy back. I’m not sure what to think of this spread because it looks way over posed. But, she looks great and not super thin! And these fashion choices she made here are better than that silly hairband she wears all the time.

Here are some highlights from the interview included in the magazine:

On her weight: I still love my pilates and yoga, and have cut back on fatty foods a bit. My time in India and Paris really just helped me lose a little bit of weight but there�s nothing drastic going on! I appreciate the concern, I just wish the press wouldn�t harbor on it as I think it�s very unhealthy for young girls to read about and pay attention to. To my female fans: Just be happy and secure with yourself and don�t let other people�s perceptions of you dictate the way you live your life.

On why she doesn’t read gossip blogs: Nearly everything that appears about me on the web is untrue. It really is. But they continue to write it because they know that I�m not going to spend money hiring a lawyer and then suing them. So instead I�ve learnt to take it in my stride, get on with my life and let all that stuff slide off my back.

Actress Mischa Barton has been doing what she does best, which is not acting of course, partying hard. Mischa was seen with a girl friend outside the Guy�s Bar in West Hollywood this Thursday (Feb 19).
