Yep.� It’s true.� Jessica Simpson’s ex, Nick Lachey will be making an appearance on at least one episode of One Tree Hill later this season.

When I first heard the news I thought, ‘Cool, I wonder what kind of character he will be?’.� Well, there’s no great surprise there.� Nick Lachey will be playing himself.

In the storyline, a record label wants to buy one of Haley’s (Bethany Joy Galeotti) songs that she wrote for Nick’s new album, but she is hesitant to sell any of her music, so he will appear.

Nick has a new album coming out this spring called Coming Up for Air, which includes a duet he recorded with new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.

So, this gig will require exactly no acting skills from Nick and it’s probably better that way.� How do you feel about this news?� Do you care?

Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson�s ex-husband, is completely stunned by the media�s reaction and speculation involving the singer�s new fuller figure.

“I can’t believe it’s this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it,” Lachey says. “I’m never ceased to be amazed by people’s reaction to things.”

In order for people to move forward they have to make sure they don’t look back. That’s what Jessica Simpson is trying to do.

“I don’t want anybody that’s been in my life (before) in my life anymore, and I don’t want them to have any way of contacting me… I’m not just dating for fun. I want kids someday. I want a family.”

I really hope that it works out for Jessica…she deserves it just as much as anyone.

Hooray, team Lachey!

It all started with five choirs: Team Cincinnati, led by Nick Lachey; Team Philadelphia, led by Patti LaBelle; Team New Haven, led by Michael Bolton; Team Oklahoma City, led by Blake Shelton; and Team Houston, led by Kelly Rowland.

The finale tonight showcased all the choirs and named the winner of the final three. Congrats, Team Lachey! Their winnings are going to support the Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati.

VANESSA MINNILLO credits boyfriend NICK LACHEY with helping her overcome the embarrassment of leaked pictures of her cavorting with LINDSAY LOHAN. Pictures of Minnillo and Lohan playing with knives and pulling at each others’ tops at New York club Bungalow in June last year (06) were leaked onto the internet last month (Jun07). And Minnillo says she only got through the ordeal with the support of Lachey, whom she has been dating for a year. She says, “It was a tough time. I want people to see me for who I am. “When a photo like that gets more press than you do it’s sad. Nick said to me: ‘This is one bad chapter is a book of your life.’ It was a period of seconds, over a year ago. “Yes of course, it was bad judgement. I was embarrassed.”I bet at this point no one wants to be a part of anything Ms. Lohan has going on.. She needs serious help like right now..
