Oprah kicked off her 25th and final season of her talk show on ABC yesterday (Sept 13) and she did it with a huge bang.  Oprah is always giving out really great gifts to her audience.  But this “gift” took the cake of all cakes.

When Oprah announced that all 300 members of the audience will be going on an eight-day trip to Sydney, calling it ‘Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure‘ I nearly fell off the couch.  So what’s the cherry on top?  John Travolta will be piloting the plane on his private jumbo jet.  Amazing!

And just for fun, Oprah also threw in a Motorola Smartphone for everyone.  Yeah, I think she did it.  Oprah finally outdid herself.

Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah Winfrey are like new BFFs. Rosie has been planning a big return to TV with an uplifting show, helping people.  Well, Oprah decided to jump in and put Rosie on her OWN network.

Oprah made this statement,

“Rosie is an undeniable talent who has captivated TV audiences for nearly 20 years.  She’s a true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does.”

Talk about going for the full powerhouse.  I think Oprah didn’t like the idea of Rosie possibly being her replacement later on and so she “bought” her instead.

Rosie is naturally pumped for this new gig,

“It’s an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network.  I’m excited to be back on daytime television.”

Is anyone actually excited to have Rosie back on air?

Sometimes I just have to laugh at the trending topics.  Seriously.  Happy Father’s Day!  Oprah removes sixth toe.  Hmmm.  There haven’t been any concrete reports as to whether or not Oprah has had her extra sixth toe removed or if she’s really even planning on having it done.  But I highly doubt that she had it done on a Sunday.  I would venture to guess that Oprah has much better ways to spend Father’s Day.

But, if and when Oprah does have her sixth toe removed, would you want her to do it for TV?  Do you think she would televise it?  Me?  No way.  That creeps me out altogether.  Do what you have to do, but please, don’t make me look at it.

Jessica Simpson had her infamous talk with Oprah in an interview airing today. She addressed the ‘mom jeans‘ issue, the John Mayer drama, and more.

I think that Jessica should be so angry with John Mayer! He’s a complete pig and has no control. He got no shame and he should have boat loads. Thankfully, Jess hasn’t accepted John’s EMAIL apology…..

P!nk just did her big appearance on Oprah, this following her amazing performance at the Grammys.  Of course Oprah and the rest of the world wanted to hear all about what it felt like, putting on such a jaw-dropping performance.

Pink says she thinks that performance will always stand out as one of the great moments of her life. “For me, it was when everyone stood up at the end,” she says.

“It feels like after 10 years people still don’t know what I do,” she says. “[The song is] very spiritual and it’s very sensual and it’s very sophisticated and visually beautiful, so I just wanted to really show up.”

It seems that Oprah has to have her hands on everything.  This time it’s reality TV.  While Oprah’s final season (not like she’s going away), the crew will be shooting behind-the-scenes footage of Oprah Winfrey’s 25th season for a weekly reality series, Behind the Scenes: Oprah’s 25th Season.

It will of course air on her new network, OWN.  This is Discovery Health right now, but soon will be all OPRAH. Yay. Discovery said the series will give “a unique glimpse into the lives of the staff and the happenings between a special group of people who over decades have truly become a family” and “explore this rare collection of people by following a core cast of regulars from various departments as they work and navigate the last days of the show.”

Well, I guess this is great news for all of Oprah’s ‘disciples and for the rest of us, it’s just plain annoying.

Jay Leno made a lot of enemies during the drama that unfolded which hosed Conan O’Brien.  So, today Oprah is asking Jay Leno the tough questions.  She points out to him that a lot of people aren’t on his side and it’s true.  I am one of those people.  I don’t care if you are Team Leno or Team CoCo. What went down on NBC was wrong.  Conan was screwed over royally.

Oprah likes to really ‘turn it on’ when she has ‘exciting’ guests on her show.  She’s been doing it for 25 years now and she hasn’t lost any of that ‘energy’ as the years have passed.  Nope, Oprah is a screamer and will always be a screamer.

Oprah just made her ‘big announcement’ that the entire world already knew about.  She is pulling the plug in her talk show.  She was calm at first, then choked up when breaking the news to her audience.

Ugh.  Give me a break.  Why is everyone making a big deal about this?  Oprah isn’t going anywhere.  The only thing that Oprah is going to do is get more domination and more power by having her own cable network and well, being bigger than she already is.  Sure she won’t be on ABC anymore.  But who gives a rip?  Honestly?  Her fans will watch her no matter what network she’s on.  The woman is doind all of this for more attention, power, control, etc.  Why do there need to be any tears shed?
