Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom hung tight to each other at the Global Green USA’s 15th Annual Millennium Awards in Santa Monica, California on Saturday, June 4th.

Both Kerr and Bloom are active in promoting a greener lifestyle and Bloom has been a part of the Global Green foundation for a few years.

Kyra Segwick, Kevin Bacon, Adrian Grenier and Mark Ruffalo were also at the event, with Ruffalo receiving an award for bringing attention to hydrofracking – the practice of drilling for natural gas under shale beds, that is considered by many to be a threat to clean water.

From the Global Green website: “The Millennium Awards were established in 1996 to recognize and herald those whose lives and livelihood embody Global Green USA’s mission of “fostering a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure world.” The Awards were designed to honor individuals and organizations who recognize the important connection between humankind and nature, to celebrate their success and inspire others to make such exceptional behavior the norm.”

Orlando Bloom is officially reprising his role of Legolas in the upcoming two part Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit.

Director Peter Jackson has confirmed that Orlando Bloom will reprise the role of the Legolas—the role he played in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy—in the epic two-part screen adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit,” now filming in New Zealand.

“10 years on, I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. I look older – he doesn’t! Orlando created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas, and we’re excited to be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more.”

This is news that most people had given up even hoping for, but the news came down the line on The Hobbit‘s official Facebook page this morning. It’s actually interesting how many characters are confirmed for this movie that don’t show up in the book. The news doesn’t say how he is involved with the story, but I’m sure it will be more than a cameo.

New parents Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom got to enjoy a night out without their son Flynn at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala.

Miranda wore a strapless white dress by Marchesa with a super-poufy tulle overlay.  Fun!

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured the exhibition “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” a retrospective of the late designer’s body of work.

Orlando Bloom appeared at Selfridge’s in London to launch the new men’s fragrance from Hugo Boss.  BOSS Orange Man sounds like it’s the official fragrance of the Protestant Orangemen, but actually it’s one of a matched set of fragrances for men and women.

Both genders’ scents feature apple, spices and woodsy notes.  BOSS Orange Man also includes notes of coriander, frankincense, vanilla and Bubinga wood, and “exudes relaxed confidence with a genuine warmth.”  To be honest, it sounds yummy.

Today could be the birthday of Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom’s first child.

According to relatives of the Australian model, the family received a text message that said Kerr is in the hospital ready to push.

A family member told an Australian newspaper: “We did get a text on Boxing Day saying she had gone into labour but it was false alarm but I can confirm she did go into labour early this morning.”

Bloom, 33, and Kerr, 27, who married in July of 2010, did not want to know if they were having a boy or a girl beforehand.

Sounds like the wait is almost over.

Waiting for a baby to arrive can feel like the longest of days to expecting parents.

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have hunkered down in Los Angeles to await the littlest Bloom making his/her appearance. Kerr’s parents have flown in from Australia to be with their daughter and son-in-law as Kerr’s due date is only a few weeks away.

Kerr’s pre-pregnancy figure is gracing a few January 2011 covers either in anticipation of how fast celebrities lose their pregnancy/baby weight or just because magazine editor recycle more often than not.

Orlando Bloom was at the Cinema for Peace’s Green Evening to promote Sebastian Copeland’s movie “Into the Cold” at China Lounge in Berlin, Germany.

Mostly I just like to stare at Orlando.  He’s such a splendid piece of eye candy.  With all the world gawking at his naked wife, Miranda Kerr, I think he deserves a bit of gawking too.  Stare on ladies.

Orlando Bloom and Charlize Theron are the new faces of Japanese retailer Uniqlo.  The new commercial for their winter collection features Orlando getting ready to go snowboarding in Uniqlo Heat Tech clothes.

Of course he looks great, but what does Legolas think of his new employer’s products? Orlando said:

“The clothes are comfortable and the texture’s great. They’re the kind of unpretentious clothes that anyone can wear.”

By the way, this store sounds totally nuts.  And I totally want to shop there.

Orlando Bloom and his still blushing bride, Miranda Kerr are expecting their first baby together!  A friend of Kerr’s blabbed the baby news,

WEDDING NEWS – Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom Are On Their Honeymoon!

“She’s definitely pregnant… Miranda’s thrilled.  She’s telling all her friends, mostly other models, about it.  She poses inlingerie.  It will be obvious soon enough.”

I know these rumors have been swirling about and now we know why!  I am very happy for the newlyweds.  Talk about BEAUTIFUL genes!

This happy couple didn’t want to waste any time or let the media frenzy hamper their special day.  Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom were engaged only about a month ago and now they are celebrating their new life together on their honeymoon!

They had a private, intimate ceremony that no one knew about!  (I love it!)

Kerr released a statement regarding her work with David Jones,

I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life.”
