Gorgeous and glamorous Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi gave birth to a daughter in New York on February 20th. Her rep announced:
“Mother and baby are well and happy.”
Padma named her baby Krishna Thea. The father’s name, however, is still a mystery.

Now that Lifetime has scooped up Project Runway, Top Chef is now Bravo’s highest rated series… So to keep those ratings high, they are taking the show’s sixth season to the trashiest place in the country: Las Vegas.
Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, lead judge Tom Colicchio and judges Gail Simmons and Toby Young were all on-board for filming, which has already wrapped. The season is set to premiere later this year.

I kind of love that Whoopi Goldberg shows up at a fancy-pants fundraiser dressed like this. She just doesn’t care, which is refreshing in a celebrity.
Here she is on the red carpet for the Blossom Ball at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan. The event was a benefit for the Endometriosis Foundation of America. Top Chef hottie Padma Lakshmi (looking much more glamorous) was one of the evening’s hosts.
Other celebs in attendance included Helena Christensen, Tina Brown, Alexandra Tomlinson and Nicole Trufino.

Model and actressPadma Lakshmi, host of BravoTV’s Top Chef, and author of cookbooks, including her latest titled Tangy, Tart, Hot and Sweet, is simply gorgeous in these photos. Born in India, she is the former wife of author Salman Rushdie and has a very long and prominent scar on her right arm from an auto accident in her teens.
