Paris Hilton and Cy Waits have called it quits on their just-over-a-year-long relationship.

Hilton, 30, confirmed the rumored split while promoting her reality show The World According to Paris, on Lopez Tonight after showing a clip where the two get into a fight and she slaps him.

“We’re not together anymore,” Hilton told host, George Lopez. “I love him, and we remain really good friends … I just feel like the relationship ran its’ course.”

Paris attended the I ‘Heart’ Ronson/JCPenney event last night in Hollywood (following her Lopez appearance) and said she will remain friends with the 35 year-old Las Vegas club promoter.

“My family knows him. He’s such a great guy and always treated me so well and he’s like one of my closest friends,” she said.

The socialite began dating Waits shortly after breaking up Doug Reinhardt in April of 2010 and the two were busted together in Las Vegas in August of 2010; Waits for driving under the influence and Hilton for drug possession.

So many people become famous or infamous for ‘leaked’ nude photos or sex tapes and no one seems to feel any remorse about it but Reese Witherspoon wants women to think about what they’re doing for the sake of fame.

The actress was the recipient of MTV’s Generation Award at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards and in her acceptance speech, she took a swipe at women like Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Blake Lively, all of whom have had sex tapes and/or photos released or star in a reality show.

“I get it, girls, that it’s cool to be a bad girl,” the Water For Elephants star told the crowd. “But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show. When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed.”

“And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people! Hide your face!” Witherspoon continued.

She ended with her own story and how she wants women to aspire to more than just fame – dignity.

“For all the girls out there, it’s totally possible to be a good girl,” she said. “I’m going to try to make it cool.”

Since Hilton and Kardashian have all made millions after those tapes were released and Lively’s career probably won’t take a hit, Witherspoon is swimming upstream but it’s a good battle to wage.

Calling out Paris Hilton publicly is almost a national pastime and Fairly Legal star Sarah Shahi steps up to the plate and takes a swing at the reality star.

After an alleged traffic run-in between the socialite and actress, Shahi spilled her thoughts on Hilton and her existence through twitter.

“Paris Hilton- worst driver ever. Almost hit me, then ran a stop sign,” Shahi tweeted. “what if there was a kid around that corner, you dumb b—h.”

“Paris Hilton- horrible excuse for a human being,” she continued. “What an irresponsible person… What a lame existence…”

The 31 year-old star, who has a 2 year-old child with Reba star Steve Howey, also said she wouldn’t be so upset if she wasn’t a mom.

“One more thing blonde piece of shit- you’re not an elitist just because you have money. You should apologize… To humanity.” nowi’mdone,” Shahi concluded.

You certainly can’t accuse Shahi of holding back.

Celebrities lit up the red carpet at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica for the local American Red Cross’ Red Tie Affair gala last weekend.  The annual event raises funds to support the organization’s Santa Monica chapter’s disaster relief work.

Josh Duhamel, on hand with his wife Fergie, received a Crystal Cross Award for organizing a run to raise funds for Japan earthquake and tsunami relief.

Also in attendance:  Pete Wentz, Bridget Marquardt and Paris Hilton (whose graphic print maxi dress I totally love).  More pictures of all these folks sporting red for the Red Cross after the jump.

Josh Duhamel organized a charity run to raise money for Japan earthquake and tsunami relief efforts and it was a rousing success.

Duhamel and his wife, Fergie, (who’s birthday was Sunday) hit the Santa Monica beach with 4,000 people to take part in the Tokidoki Youth Run 4 Japan to benefit The American Red Cross Japan Relief Fund.

Among the runners were I Am Number Four costars Dianna Agron and Teresa Palmer and socialite sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton.

The run earned $130,000 and tokidoki shirt sales were $90,000.

Duhamel said on twitter: “We did it! 4,000+ people pack the beach! The youth of LA mobilized & should be proud. All of u that donated should be proud. Much love..JD”

Jenny McCarthy and Cheryl Burke were among the celebrities on hand for the Belvedere Vodka Launch Party for RED Special Edition Bottle at Avalon in Hollywood, California on Thursday February 10th.

The company is donating 50% of the profits to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

The pre-Grammy bash was hosted by Usher and brought out Nicky and Paris Hilton, Mya, Morena Baccarin, Beth Ditto, Katerina Graham and Chelsea Handler to the party.

‘Member when Paris Hilton was sued earlier this year by HairTech International for breach of contract?  She was hired to promote their hair extensions, and they say she didn’t do it, so they slapped her with a $35 million lawsuit.

Now they’ve come back asking for even more money.  HairTech filed papers to “adjust” their lawsuit up to $70 million.  They still allege that she wore some other brand of hair extensions while she was under contract with them.  They’re also claiming that she “automatically breached” their contract when she spent that brief stint in jail back in 2007.

So, does that mean that there was a clause in the contract that made it null and void if she went to jail?  That’s funny, but I think if you feel compelled to put something like that in a contract, you should probably re-think the wisdom of the deal in the first place.

Ho, ho, ho….is that Santa?  Nope, it’s just me, calling it like I see it on Paris Hilton‘s 2010 Christmas card.

Does this quasi-Christina Aguilera look jingle your bell?  Why is Paris sitting in a chair that looks like a cross between an electric chair and one of those hood hair dryer things?   And why did she decide that a shot of her looking like an advertisement for a cheap-ass soft core bondage titty bar was any way to send holiday greetings?    This might be a Merry Christmas for someone, but I hope they remember to take their antibiotics the next day.
