Grey’s Anatomy‘s Patrick Dempsey made an appearance at the world premiere of “Iris:  A Journey Into The World Of Cinema” by Cirque Du Soleil.

This show promises to “take spectators on a fantastic voyage through the history of cinema…into the heart of the movie-making process.”  Something about Hollywood stars going to see a show about their own industry sounds like a lot of self-serving navel-gazing, but this production boasts some relatively serious credentials.   “Iris” was written and directed by celebrated French stage and film director Philippe Decouflé; Danny Elfman composed the music. Season 8 of Grey‘s premiered last week, but Patrick has been casting doubts about whether he’s got a future with the show after this current season; in fact, recently he’s suggested that the show may be cancelled before the season is even through.  That’s just silly; this show has been one of ABC’s staples for years now, and there’s no way they’re going to let it end without some huge finale that strains the limits of believability.  Either way, McDreamy fans – get it while you can!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley may be the sexiest thing on the Transformers 3 premiere circuit, but her co-star Patrick Dempsey isn’t far behind in the hotness race.    This is McDreamy we’re talking about, after all!    Dempsey brought his own special brand of   to the red carpet at Le Grand Rex in Paris for the movie’s French premiere.

Dempsey plays the character Dylan Gould, a race car driver and the boss of Carly Spencer, played by Huntington-Whiteley.  He spoke about his role and working with director Michael Bay:

“That’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a movie. Really, it was so much fun. And – no, seriously, I did. I had a great time. We laughed a lot. And you know, we worked hard. Michael works very quickly, which is exciting, so the days go by very fast. And it was fun to play a character that is unexpected, you know. And I was really very happy to have that opportunity, and very lucky to be a part of this movie and to be with this group… And it’s a great cast – that’s very inspiring. Michael Bay is a wonderful director. And I truly fell in love with cinema again, doing this movie.”

Transformers 3:  Dark Of The Moon opens in theaters on June 29th.

Here’s the newest trailer for the upcoming star packed romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, coming out on February 12th, 2010. This one features Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift.

This trailer is certainly better than the last version, it seems the re-shoots might have actually helped. And clearly they added the stuff with Lautner and Swift to pull in a bigger audience. Regardless, I still have no interest in seeing this.

This is a sexiness overload!  I just wrote a post saying how I wished that Patrick Dempsey would suit up on the speedway when he made an appearance on the Homestead track down in Florida.  And looky here!  Patrick suited up for the race! Woo hoo!  Can you say YUM?

Thank you Patrick!  You look amazing.  Fits you like a glove…but don’t wuit your day job.  We would miss you way too much!

Patrick Dempsey was down in Florida at the Homestead Miami Speedway ahead of the Rolex Series race which takes place on tomorrow, October 10th.

Patrick Dempsey was hot (as always) spending some time on the speedway, ‘promoting’ oil.  LOL  I love this guy and I would have loved to see him suit up and get behind the wheel.  Maybe next time.  All that time on his bike is doing him good.

Goodness, he has come a long way since Can’t Buy Me Love…

Being a fan of Grey’s Anatomy, I really enjoyed what College Candy came up with.� They have the Top 5 Plotlines that didn’t make it. Very clever!

1. Having a ghost friend is a great idea. It worked for Ghost Whisperer, and Jennifer Love Hewitt is nowhere near as hot as Katherine Heigl. It only makes more sense that a hot ghost with a hot star = ratings galore. I think they missed out on an even bigger opportunity: Izzy is a ghost orgy with Denny and all the patients that ever died at Seattle Grace.

2. McDreamy is just perfect in every way: he�s sexy, he�s funny, and he�s the most talented surgeon ever to grace this planet. Too good to be true, right? Exactly. We never knew anything about Derek�s life before he came to Seattle Grace�until now. Turns out Derek used to be Dayna, a talented female surgeon in New York who was getting nowhere in her career thanks to the Glass Ceiling. Dayna was sick of being picked over in favor of male surgeons, so she decided to take matters into her own hands by performing gender reassignment surgery�on herself. Yes, she�s just that good. You didn�t think a man could have hair that good, did you?

Reading these makes you wonder just how far writers are willing to go to bring in an audience and the higher ratings, doesn’t it?
