Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz arrived at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards at The Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 27th.

Cruz chose a L’Wren Scott dress with sequined accents and looked superb at the 2011 Oscars. The actress, who just gave birth to the couple’s son just is incredible looking!

Bardem was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Biutiful but lost to Colin Firth from The King’s Speech.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have welcomed their first child into the world.

Cruz gave birth on Tuesday in Los Angeles at Cedars Sinai Hospital according to Spanish news El Pais. Cruz and Bardem have a son, according to Hola magazine. The couple have not released an official statement and the name of the child is not yet known.

Cruz, 36 and Bardem, 41, have known each other for 19 years when Cruz had her first acting job on Jamon, Jamon. The pair started dating in 2007 when they were paired in the Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The rumors have been confirmed.  Penelope Cruz and her new hubby, Javier Bardem are expecting their first baby together.  Their reps finally confirmed the news,

“Penelope is 4½-months pregnant.”

I knew it!  I knew they would be having a baby sooner than later after tying the knot.  I am so happy for them.  This is going to be one beautiful baby!

Stunner Penelope Cruz tops a list of the ten most beautiful women in the world.  The list was compiled by British clothing maker Wizard Jeans.  Why did a maker of slimming, shapewear type jeans compile such a list?  I’m sure I don’t know. It’s wide-ranging, and is getting lots of buzz in the UK for choosing several older women, including bodacious bikini babe Helen Mirren.  So here goes:

Congratulations to the lovely Penelope Cruz!  She has been named the new face of Lancôme’s fragrance Trésor.

Penelope was spotted this week shooting her first ads for the line at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris.   Photographer Mario Testino did the honors.  Trésor is a classic scent, and Penelope is a classic beauty.  She’ll represent the brand well!  Can’t wait to see her work.

Penelope Cruz is about to sign on to star in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with Johnny Depp.

Penelope Cruz is in negotiations to join Johnny Depp and sail the seven seas in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth installment of the movie series being directed by Rob Marshall.

Depp is reprising his popular role of Captain Jack Sparrow, and while plot details are buried deeper than Blackbeard’s treasure, it is known the tale revolves around the Fountain of Youth.

Cruz’s character details are also being kept secret, though she is to be Sparrow’s foil and equal in many ways.

It’s easy to imagine her in this movie and I’m sure she’ll do a great job, would be nice to see her do something lighthearted like this. Should be fun to see the kind of chemistry Cruz and Depp can conjure up.

After whispers of babies and an engagement this year, word is that Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem will be getting married in December during the holidays.

“They will marry very soon, maybe even over the holidays,” says a friend. “Penelope’s parents are conservative Catholics and are really pushing for her to get married. Javier would like to take things slowly, but Penelope wants to make her parents happy.”

“Since she and Javier are from Spain, she’d love to have a Spanish designer create her dream gown,”

What designer is she looking to? The founder of the House of Balenciaga was Spanish, and also did Salma Hayek’s wedding gown. So chances are Penelope will be going to Balenciaga for her own gown.

“I’m sure they would be more than thrilled to create a gown for Penelope,” says the source. According to an insider, Penelope knows her wedding gown “will be the most important dress of her life.”

How exciting! I love a good wedding. I cannot wait to see Javier and Penelope tie the knot.

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming musical Nine.

This movie looks like it’s going to be a true spectacle. The cast is rich and the music is quite obviously very lively. Now, I’m not into musicals in general but I really liked Chicago a few years ago and this looks like it could be on the same level. With Rob Marshall at the helm and the amazing cast in place I’m sure it’ll be worth a watch.

The newly engaged Penelope Cruz has added another big event to her calendar.  According to Life & Style, Penelope Cruz is going to appear in Sex and the City 2.  Cruz will be playing the foxy lady that Mr. Big flirts with and gets Carrie upset….

Wow, I would have never put Penelope Cruz in Sex and the City!  She better keep her hands off of Mr. Big!  He’s taken!

It’s about time!  Javier Bardem and his gorgeous girlfriend, Penelope Cruz are finally engaged!  We have heard lots of rumors that Penelope is pregnant or that they were engaged and now it’s true!  Well, the engaged part.

Back in August, Penelope didn’t know if she even believed in marriage,

“I don’t know if I believe in marriage.  I believe in family, love and children.”

I guess that Javier made her a believer!  I am so glad too.  I think they make a wonderful couple and those babies are going to be gorgeous!
