Supermodel Claudia Schiffer appears on the cover of the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar, UK looking ravishing as always. The former Guess Girl of the 80’s is also featured inside as a muse for seven leading contemporary artists in the photo shoot “Capturing Claudia.”
There is an edge to these photos that is rarely done with Schiffer as the model. She is often used as the beautiful, aloof, wholesome-yet-sexy girl next door. I like that Claudia is able to have some range with her photographs and the artists see her as more than just a gorgeous clothes hanger.

Kim Kardashian appears on the cover of YRB this month in her strangest look yet. Yes, even stranger than the wanna-be vampire look. I mean, OK, this photoshoot is very glamorous and creative. The clothes are amazing, and the lighting/styling of the shoot is just super. But… this doesn’t even look like Kim Kardashian at all. She says on her blog that she was “totally transformed” in these photos, and it’s true. So why bother using Kim as the model? Why not get someone who looks like the person you want to photograph?
Anyway, that’s my rant. Here’s what Kim said on her website about this shoot:
My YRB Magazine shoot just came out and I am loving the results! I love the photog, Mike Ruiz, and my stylist Darius Baptist was amazing! The always wonderful Troy Jensen did my makeup!! This shoot was done the day I left for Africa. I really love the transformation and the clothes were amazing!!! This has got to be one of the most unique shoots I’ve ever done! Not sure I’ll ever go for a permanent short cut, but it definitely works for this shoot.
What do you all think? Is Kim just having a little too much fun playing dress-up doll, or am I just being a snarky blogger? Wait, don’t answer that…

Feast your eyes on these new photos of British model/actress/reality TV star Kelly Brook. She donned some hot lingerie ensembles to promote her new perfume, Vivacious.
The scent is described as “sexy, fruity and enticing” and evocative of “retro glamour.” I’d say Kelly does a pretty good job of capturing that vibe in this photoshoot, don’t you? I really like the white stockings with the black sets. Well done!

Check out Izabel Goulart’s new photoshoot for Victoria’s Secret. The Brazilian model sure has what it takes to get some attention! Yowza!
But don’t accuse Izabel of just being another pretty face. She was recently named the International Ambassador for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. She has been actively involved in the cause because her brother has type one diabetes.
“I am so excited and proud to be working with the Diabetes Research Institute. Nothing is more important to me than finding a cure for my brother,” said Izabel. “If I can raise awareness in the course of my travels, and bring attention to the Diabetes Research Institute, I will be helping my brother and millions like him who are living with this disease.”
Gorgeous AND good hearted? What a combination!

The Pussycat Dolls make formalwear sexy in a new photoshoot. The Dolls pair black lingerie with top hats and canes in a nod to old Hollywood musicals.
I find it interesting that Nicole Scherzinger, who is usually the sluttiest looking of the Dolls, somehow got to wear opaque tights instead of sheer ones like the rest of the girls. I mean, she looks amazing, but why? I think it breaks up the uniform look of the group shot. Maybe that was the point, but I think she’s got great legs, and should show them off!

Susie Amy is best known for her role as Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe in the UK hit TV show Footballers’ Wives. She’s about to become even better known when her new movie Lesbian Vampire Killers is released later this month.

Lindsay Lohan appears in the latest issue of Glamour (the one with Katie Holmes on the cover) as part of the super-gorgeous American Icons photo essay. This series of images is part of Glamour’s 70th anniversary celebration and specifically honors “Seven Decades of Rule Breakers, Risk Takers and Style Makers.”
LiLo’s contribution is to appear as Madonna, circa 1984. She recreates scenes from Madge’s MTV Music Awards performance of “Like A Virgin.” And she does a pretty good job! But then, how hard is it for Lindsay to roll around and look slutty? She’s pretty skilled at that already, right?

Lindsay Lohan doesn’t think she’s too skinny, but her new shoot with photographer Hedi Slimane really makes you wonder. She’s all bones, boobs, and hair. Yeah, she’s gone topless again. How can the girl be that skinny and still have boobs that big? They aren’t fake, either.
I can’t even tell whether this is sexy or not. I think I am getting numb to seeing Lilo in various states of undress, for one. Also, didn’t the whole heroin chic look fade out about a decade ago? I didn’t like it then, and I still don’t.

Before Holly Madison rose to fame as Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend, she was once a struggling model. I don’t know what Hugh saw in Holly because frankly she looks ugly and has a big butt here. I think that most Playboy models (Aubrey O’Day excluded from this) look half decent and are pretty. But Holly makes me want to bark like a dog.
And now that Hugh got half a mind and dumped her, okay maybe she dumped him, but it sounds better this way, she thinks she can ride on the coat tails of her famous boyfriend, Criss Angel. No Holly, you haven’t fooled me. I don’t even have a clue how you are famous by yourself. It’s okay though I’m sure there are many of us that feel that way.

Daddy Gavin Rossdale better close his eyes and turn away… his daughter, model Daisy Lowe, is featured in a super-steamy, lesbian-themed photo spread in the March issue of W Magazine.
Daisy is pictured smooching on a window seat with model Eliza Cummings, both of them spilling out of strapless bras. Not exactly sure how this fits into the “Law and Order” theme of the photoshoot, unless this is some new method of interrogating a witness.
In another shot, Daisy chats on the prison phone through a bulletproof glass window with none other than British bad girl Peaches Geldof. These two should have been perfectly comfortable shooting an edgy, lesbian story together, as they’ve already done it - they recently appeared together for Agent Provocateur’s Season of the Witch campaign.
Some are calling this shoot “raunchy,” but it’s surely no worse than the cover story featuring Madonna and her new boy toy! Honestly, W, people won’t know whether to fan themselves with this issue or hide it under their beds and hope their moms don’t find it!

Helena Christensen andGossip Girl’s Ed Westwick heat up the current issue of Harper’s Bazzar! Christensen plays Mrs. Robinson to Westwick’s Dustin Hoffman in a photo spread that really leaves no doubt who wears the pants in the relationship.
And from the looks of things, Ed doesn’t seem to mind one little bit… who would? Helena is 40 years old and still totally fabulous! As the headline says… here’s to you Ms. Christensen.

Perhaps that headline isn’t entirely fair, but once you look at these pictures, I think you’ll see what I mean.
The March edition of W Magazine features a photospread with Madonna and 22 year old model Jesus Luz getting sexy in a Rio de Janeiro hotel room. In addition to tamer shots of the two kissing and rolling around on a hotel bed, photographer Steven Klein got several of Madonna ogling a completely naked Jesus. (Which, if you think about the interesting juxtaposition of these two names, makes the whole thing just a leeetle bit weird, don’t you think?)
W is not the only place these two can be seen together… they’ve been spotted brunching in New York, and the Daily Mail reports that “she asked him to accompany her for the remainder of the South America leg of her Sticky & Sweet Tour.”
Um, Madonna? I’m all for getting your groove back after a divorce, but you’re older than this guy’s MOM. That’s too much power cougar, even for me.
