Kate Winslet is simply perfect as Elizabeth Taylor for V magazine‘s September/October Heroes issue.

The 35 year-old actress is photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Carine Roitfeld as the stunning violet-eyed Hollywood legend.

Winslet spoke about Taylor and how what she found remarkable about the late actress.

“There was a real fearlessness in her. Which in old Hollywood perhaps didn’t feel quite as prevalent. Now, actors and actresses can bend the rules a lot. Back then, there didn’t seem to be a rule book, and there was some expectation in terms of how glamorous a woman should look. There is sort of a coolness and aloofness to the way [Elizabeth Taylor] would look in posed photographs. In candid snapshots she was really quite soft, and she would really screw up her face. I do that as well.”

Kate also shared how she actually loathes nude scenes, even though she seems to find herself in them rather frequently.

“I hate it! Listen make no mistake, I just get on it. I just go in and say ‘Oh f**k’ let’s do it.’ and Boom. If you complain about it or procrastinate it’s not going to go away. Its a profoundly bizarre thing to do. As actors you talk about it all the time. You can literally be tangled in sheets, and you turn to the other actor and say ‘What the f*ck are we doing?’ Dear Mum, at work today I had so-and-so’s left nut sack pressed against my cheek. It’s sort of unethical if you think about it in those terms.”

Well, Kate. That was unexpected!

Lady Gaga leaves it all behind for the cover of the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The “You and I” singer dons considerably less make-up than usual for a more natural appearance. Should we call her Stefani Germanotta – she seems so different in these photos than her Gaga persona?

Gaga says whether she has on loads of cosmetics and accessories or none at all, it doesn’t matter. She doesn’t see a distinction.

“I think that artifice is the new reality. It’s more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”

The singer says that so much of what we’ve come to see as natural really isn’t so why shouldn’t she indulge create and play with those ideas.

“Don’t you think that what’s on the cover of a magazine is quite artificial?” she asks. “There’s this idea that it’s all natural, but everything’s been staged to look natural. It is also an invention. It’s just that my inventions are different. I often get asked about my artifice, but isn’t fashion based on the idea that we can create a fantasy?”

Gaga also shared her love of her new hobby, surfing, which she picked up on a rare vacation from work.

“I fell off a lot in the beginning,” she says, “but one of the surfers said to me, ‘Now that you can stand up, just look into the future and enjoy the ride.’ I thought that was an interesting metaphor about life.”

The October issue goes on sale September 27th.

Miley Cyrus rocks a sexy new haircut for the cover of Prestige magazine.

The 18 year-old singer told the publication she doesn’t miss working on Disney’s Hannah Montana.

“No [laughs]. I miss the family vibe, but I don’t miss the routine at all,” Cyrus shared. “I was so bored doing the same thing every day.”

“It’s a lot easier not being on a show, to live my life a little bit and do some of the others thing that I want to do, I don’t have to be back at a certain time. You’re not worrying about a cast schedule or what the producers are going to think.”

Miley also said she’s trying to convince younger sister, Noah Cyrus, that acting and being in the public eye so young isn’t all that it may seem.

“I’m so grateful that I was able to be on that show, but even my little sister, who’s 11, wants to go into acting,” Cyrus said.

“I just say, “Just wait, dude.” Because the way you’re going to be when you’re my age and the way you are right now are so different. Don’t put yourself in a situation where people are going to think of you as only one thing.”

The super hot trio of The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev leap about in a photo shoot for the new issue of Rolling Stone.

With the season three premiere date now less than a month away, the 32 year-old Somerhalder is tempting other vampire fans to join the TVD force.

“The whole Twilight thing is about to be over,” he said. “And teenage girls can’t watch True Blood with their parents – that would just get weird. So we’re getting ready to kick some major ass this season.”

Season 3 kicks off with Elena’s (Dobrev) 18th birthday and Stefan (Wesley) still on his blood thirsty road trip with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). What does that mean for Damon (Somerhalder) and Elena’s relationship now that her boyfriend Stefan is off and killing people again? We will have to wait and see!

The Vampire Diaries premieres September 15th on The CW. Their Rolling Stone issue is on newsstands today.

Kristen Stewart is reminiscent of all those ultra-glam women of the 60s in this cover for the September issue of W magazine.

The Snow White & The Huntsman actress has heavy cat eyeliner and blush with a teased bouffant hairstyle that is a pretty perfect replica of time gone by.

Stewart, 21, told the magazine that the last two films in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn part 1 & 2, is chock full of moments fans have been dying to see but the wedding, in particular, was intense for the actress.

W Magazine: How was the actual wedding?

Stewart: “It was major. The last Twilight book is filled with BFDs, things that people have been waiting for for so long. For me, it was ridiculously dramatic: I get married, give birth, the baby has an incredibly accelerated growth rate we’re all very concerned about, and I say goodbye to my dad for the last time ever. It was all big—I could never go, Whew, I’m losing this character.”

She also addresses how conflicted she is about people seeing her work and all the attention it brings.

W Magazine: You’re not in charge of your life?

Stewart: “No. Not really. Not if I want to think solely about what I really like to do. It’s a funny thing: You want so badly for people to see what you do—you’re proud of it—and I like the effect that movies have on people. But the attention can also make me uncomfortable. In certain situations, people say to me, “C’mon, what’s wrong with you?” I apologize. I love what I’m doing, but I’m a little uncomfortable.”

LeAnn Rimes shows off her bikini-lovin’ slim frame once again – this time for Mikoh Swimwear.

The 28 year-old singer posed in the company’s beach-babe attire and dished about her life and love to the manufacturer’s blog.

Rimes said she and husband, Eddie Cibrian, love hanging out at Laguna Beach in Southern California.

“I love Laguna Beach and it always seems to be our place for a chill family vacation,” Rimes told Mikoh’s. “I love seeing my “bonus boys” and my husband running around in total privacy and me taking photos. I love being with them in our on little private cove. It’s pure heaven!”

She also waxed poetic about accomplishments meaning nothing without someone to share them with.

“I have been blessed to have experienced so much in my short lifetime,” Rimes revealed in the interview. “I’ve worked very hard for everything I have and nothing has come easy. My biggest accomplishment though has been, to quote the Notebook…”I’ve loved another with all my heart, and to me, this has always been enough.” What’s life without love? You can accomplish everything you want in life, but without anyone to share it with, what’s it really worth.

LeAnn has taken been at the center of controversy (again) whether she’s too thin or she’s just right. For her part, she has stated she’s “healthy” and Cibrian told Extra that he thought LeAnn’s body was “perfect.”

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes actress spoke about fashion, her Alexander McQueen collection and Skype dating with her boyfriend, Dev Patel.

On her must-haves using color: “I keep colour in mind and try not to repeat a shade I’ve used before. Everything needs to be in sync and seem like one perfect piece, one perfect look. At the end of the day, it has to have the wow factor, so whatever I wear has to be ‘wow’. My must-haves are a little black dress and my favourite accessories. I just love a pair of simple earrings that can jazz up an entire outfit. I try to keep it simple and elegant.”

On her McQueen collection: “Given the chance, I love dressing head to toe in Alexander McQueen. I was always a huge fan of his and will continue to be so forever. I even collect McQueen handbags as well as dresses.”

On her long-distance relationship with boyfriend Dev Patel: “We use it (Skype) a lot – and we hate it as well! It’s like a tease. I also feel it’s this pressure, “Oh my God, he’s seeing me after two weeks, I hope my hair is okay. It’s just hideous. I think even the most beautiful person looks stupid on Skype.”

Kate Hudson graces the pages of Elle magazine’s September issue wearing her new jewelry line and a strategically placed pale pink sheet.

The 32 year-old actress previewed her Chrome Heart Collaboration CH + KH. Hudson talks about her Muse man, how she manages work and kids,

On when/if she’s marrying Matt Bellamy: “One thing at a time. We’ll say hello to our new one and enjoy that for a while.”

On her busy lifestyle: “Most relationships I’ve had in my life have been with people who travel quite a bit for work . . . I don’t know if I’m attracted to that specifically, but it is nice to be with somebody who understands having to be on the move.”

On juggling being a mom and working: “[It’s] definitely getting harder. You have to think about things like, ‘Where is it? How long is it going to keep me away from my family?’ But, you know, life moves on. I would never want to be someone who complains and goes, ‘Oh my God, my life is so crazy.’ If you make the best of it, it can be amazing.”

On what advice her mom (Goldie Hawn) gave: “We’ve definitely had lots of talks about parenting and being a working mom. She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom, though. My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. I hope that I can do as good a job.”

Demi Lovato‘s highly publicized meltdown wasn’t caused because she was stressed out, touring with her recent ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brand new girlfriend, Ashley Greene.

The 19 year-old singer told the September issue of Elle magazine that she had lots of other, prior problems that were building.

“I wouldn’t credit my meltdown to a guy,” Lovato says. “There was so much other stuff in my life.”

The first public inkling of her problems surfaced in 2008 when after Miley Cyrus‘ 16th birthday party, photos appeared of Lovato with still-healing red marks on her arms attributed to cutting. A statement was released by her then PR team but no one was buying it.

“I don’t think I would have been ready to talk about [my problems] then, but I could’ve come up with something better than gummy bracelets,” she says now. “Needless to say, that publicist is no longer with us.” Pause. “I mean, she’s alive.”

Things finally came to a head and Lovato is completely up front about the way she acting was before finally heading to rehab in the late fall of 2010 after punching back up dancer Alex Welch.

“I was completely out of line all summer,” she says. “Just the worst attitude—totally ungrateful.”

Lovato continued: “When you punch someone on a plane, enough is enough,” she says. “Right after, I texted my mom and just said, ‘I’m sorry.’ ”

Jessica Alba graces the August cover for Allure magazine.

The Machete actress talks about her post-baby body and says she’s struggling like most mom’s to get back to pre-baby weight.

“I can’t ever get down to the weight I was before I had Honor. My body’s just different,” she says. “The jeans just sort of zip up differently, and things hang differently. It’s a miracle what happens, but you definitely are different afterwards. Unless you’re Gisele [Bundchen].”

Alba also says she isn’t into the idea of plastic surgery.

“That’s just so bizarre, because the physical is so fleeting, anyway, and when you’re in a relationship, the physical lasts for maximum, two years.”She continued, “You’re pregnant. Your stomach is not going to be flat. You’re not ‘flaunting’ it; you’re just walking to the store or a across a parking lot.”
