Rupert Everett seems to have let fame get to his head…in his current rant he disses Americans. He describes them as “whiny victims”, he goes on to say…
“I’m totally off the States now. … The reaction to 9/11 and then George Bush - really, they’ve got very blobby as a nation. … Now they (the Americans) are whiny victims whose language is entirely taken from two TV shows - Friends and Sex And The City - and there’s nothing sexy about them any more. And that kind of semi-blindness about the rest of the world, which was attractive when America was exciting, is really unattractive now.”
Now, I have never watched Sex And The City…but Friends…dude…that is classic television. There will be nothing like that show ever again. Not even the Beverly Hills 90210 remake!
Rupert, I used to think you were a great actor until I heard this! I am going to fast forward through all your parts in My Best Friends Wedding…even though you were in all the good parts!
Ellen Degeneres was so excited when she announced she was getting married this week so she knew that when she had Sen. John McCain on the show there would be some resistance. And that she did, I think she handled it with grace, when we all know that she was just fuming inside.
“I’m obviously excited and to me this is only fair and only natural,” Ellen said.
McCain said “people should be able to enter into legal agreements, and I think that that is something that we should encourage, particularly in the case of insurance and other areas, decisions that have to be made. I just believe in the unique status of marriage between man and woman. And I know that we have a respectful disagreement on that issue.”
“Blacks and women did not have the right to vote,” Ellen responded. “I mean, women just got the right to vote in 1920. Blacks didn’t have the right to vote until 1870. And it just feels like there is this old way of thinking that we are not all the same. We are all the same people, all of us. You’re no different than I am. Our love is the same. To me — to me, what it feels like — just, you know, I will speak for myself — it feels — when someone says, ‘You can have a contract, and you’ll still have insurance, and you’ll get all that,’ it sounds to me like saying, ‘Well, you can sit there; you just can’t sit there.’ That’s what it sounds like to me. It feels like — it doesn’t feel inclusive…It feels — it feels isolated. It feels like we are not — you know, we aren’t owed the same things and the same wording.”
Responded McCain, “Well, I’ve heard you articulate that position in a very eloquent fashion. We just have a disagreement. And I, along with many, many others, wish you every happiness.”
“Thank you,” joked Ellen. “So you’ll walk me down the aisle? Is that what you’re saying?”
“Touché,” McCain laughed.
“Well, my hope is someday it won’t be called a contract; it will be called marriage,” Ellen ended.
When Ellen talks about the world it seems like it could all work out. I wish everyone would think like her!
November 20 is Election Day and celebrities are coming out like woodwork to get you to vote. I am Canadian so I can’t vote…but you can. Listen to John Mayer when he says, “Get out there and vote!” And besides he’s kinda cute rocking his 80’s hairdo. (See John…I still love you!!)

Hillary Clinton was on The Colbert Report last night with Stephen Colbert. Also making appearances though were John Edwards and Barack Obama via sattelite. Personally, I thought John Edwards’ version of “The Word”, aptly titled “Ed Words”, stole the show! All the guests were great though.
What do YOU think of Hillary on The Colbert Report? Funny, or not? At least she didn’t make that joke about wearing the pant suits again!
In my opinion, here’s two more reasons NOT to vote for John McCain! One, he watches The Hills. Ewww. Two, he probably really doesn’t watch The Hills, making him a liar.
Heidi Montag for Vice President! Free boob jobs to all who served in Iraq!

Heidi Montag, Politics
Well, it looks like we can stop the race to the White House now. The Hills “star” Heidi Montag has announced her official endorsement, for Republican John McCain!
Heidi told UsWeekly, “I’m voting for John McCain. I’m a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience. I don’t think anyone cares who Heidi Montag votes for.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself, Heidi. If she were a real celebrity, she would have been in one of those will.i.am Obama videos! Okay, I keed. Kudos to Heidi for voting!

With all the buzz surrounding Elliot Spitzer and his high-priced hooker this week, it just wouldn’t be “real news” without an SNL skit about it! Check out this video with Bill Heder as Spitzer and Kristen Wiig as his wife. His wife should totally beat his head in. And then go pose for Playboy.

People on Monday mornings may be always talking about the latest SNL political skit, but Mad TV’s Keegan-Michael Key thinks he makes a better Barack Obama than Fred Armisen!
“I’m just like Obama. My father was African-American, my mother is white. I’m the real Fauxbama!” says Key when asked how he thinks his impersonation of Obama stacks up against Fred Armisen’s Saturday Night Live version.
An upcoming Mad TV skit parodies Flo Rida’s hit video “Low,” and it goes something like this:
I was a big-eared senator
Without a chance in hell.
(Then the Queen of the world
Put you under her spell.)
She took control,
I think you know,
Talkin’ ‘bout Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh O-prah.
Kevin Federline is lending his voice-over talent to an episode of Comedy Central’s Lil Bush in which he’s playing MC Rove. Remember when Republican strategist Karl Rove broke out into spontaneous freestyling? I wonder whose rendition is worse!
Click here to check out the clip of K-Fed on Lil Bush. Gotta love that show!

The little girl seen sleeping in Hillary Clinton’s 3 a.m. ad, supports Barack Obama! Why would a little girl care about this, you ask? Well, apparently, the video was taken from stock video and photos, and the girl, Casey Knowles, is now almost 18 years old. Her brother thought she looked familiar when seeing the ad on The Daily Show…she wasn’t even made aware of it until then!
Casey Knowles of Bonney Lake, Wash., was recently watching Jon Stewart lampoon Hillary Clinton’s well-known “3 a.m.” ads on “The Daily Show” when her brother noticed something.
“They were parodying this ad, kind of poking fun at it. They were replaying it. We paused it. My brother was like, ‘Is that Casey?’ And we just erupted,” Knowles said on “Good Morning America Weekend Edition” today. “Sure enough, it’s me.”
An image of an eight-year-old Knowles appears in the ad, shown sleeping soundly in bed. The Clinton campaign legally purchased the file footage of Knowles from Getty Images.

Putting Barack Obama on the cover of this issue of Rolling Stone, with pages of ink to chronicle his campaign trail and a full fledged endorsement from editor Jann Wenner, Obama has the kind of celebrity endorsement that Bill Clinton had when he ran for president. Wenner wrote the follwoing in his endorsement for Obama:
Obama has emerged by displaying precisely the kind of character and judgment we need in a president: renouncing the politics of fear, speaking frankly on the most pressing issues facing the country and sticking to his principles. He recognizes that running for president is an opportunity to inspire an entire nation.
What do you think? Who should get the democratic nomination? Who should our next President of the United States be, democrat, republican or otherwise? Let’s hear your opinion.

Is it now a Presidential prerequisite to appear on sketch comedy shows when running? Hillary Clinton is the latest candidate to hit the shows-that-used-to-be-funny-but-now-aren’t circuit, appearing last night on Saturday Night Live. This comes a week after Mike Huckabee overstayed his welcome on last week’s episode.
Is will.i.am hoping for a Vice Presidential bid from Barack Obama? He sure is trying awfully hard to recreate “We Are the World.” But, he apparently can’t think of any other inspiring words besides “O-Bam-A”?
Celebrities in this video include Jessica Alba, Ryan Phillippe, Kerry Washington, John Leguizamo, Regina King, Tyrese Gibson, Eric Mabius, Tichina Arnold, Adrienne Palicki, comedian George Lopez, and singers Macy Gray, Zoe Kravtiz and Black Eyed Peas’ Tabu.
“I would like to see a cleaner Earth for my child that I’m bringing into the world very soon,” Alba, 26, says. “I would like the rest of the world to think highly of our amazing country.”
Adds Phillippe, 33, “I think it’s time for a change. I want a better a future for my children [Ava and Deacon].”
Voters in this town of about 500 voted narrowly Monday to recall Carmen Kontur-Gronquist. The tally was 142-139. City officials said the recall is effective Tuesday.
Residents showed disdain with the mayor after she posted pictures of herself wearing only a black bra and panties on her MySpace page. She was on one of the town’s fire engines.
After the uproar the first time she had blocked her profile to only friends being able to see the pictures instead of all users like it was before.
Carmen Kontur-Gronquist, who is also the fire department’s executive secretary, said the photos were taken before she was elected mayor three years ago, and she saw no reason to remove them from the Internet after taking office.
Kontur-Gronquist also said that she did nothing wrong and those who are offended need to get over it.

Pretty funny! Do I think Mike Huckabee is awesome? Absolutely! Do I think he’d make a good President? Mmm, not so much! At least he has a sense of humor about himself…I can’t seem to turn it on Conan, The Daily Show, SNL, or The Colbert Report without seeing Mike Huckabee at least once. He must be a night owl!

May I first say…hello Ryan Philippe…he is looking smoking lately!
Ryan has decided who he is supporting…Barack Obama…I don’t blame him. If I lived in the United States I would be voting for Obama too. He will change everything.

Remember the will.i.am. celebrity collaboration done for Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s “Yes We Can” video? The Huffington Post has done a hilarious spoof featuring Senator John McCain. “Iraq withdrawal date: 12,008.” Watch and laugh!
