Last night on Project Runway the final three designers were chosen. Christopher and Gordana were sent packing as they couldn’t get it together for the rather simple challenge.   So the remaining three girls, Carol Hannah, Irina, and Althea are going on to finale.

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn could be in your living room next spring. Atari is producing a game for the Nintendo Wii system that will allow you to show off your design skills with design challenges, and hair and make-up styling - all part of the game inpired by the hit show. Using the Wii Balance Board you can send your model down the catwalk for the judges to critique. No word on Michael Kors or Nina Garcia being a part of the fun.

Season four’s Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano is ready for his own show and Bravo is setting him up with it!  A new Christian Siriano show is in the works for this mega talented designer.

Siriano will be setting up his own classy boutique and putting out his own clothing line as the basis for the show.  I think that this is a great idea and the ratings should do great!  There is a reason that Christian won the show!  I love this idea!  Can’t wait to watch!

Heidi Klum appears on the cover of September’s L.A. Confidential wearing a fuzzy sweater, of the kind you’d really never need in September in Los Angeles, but I digress already.  She looks great, of course.   She also gets a little goofy talking about Project Runway, her new coffee table book, and c0-hosting the Emmy’s last year.

On moving Project Runway to Los Angeles:

“People will ask us, ‘Why L.A.? L.A. isn’t a fashion capital.’ But if you look at the history of American fashion, it started in Hollywood with designers making gowns for all the starlets. Sometimes I joke with Tim [Gunn] that we should do Project Runway on an island. ‘Here’s 15 minutes, now go into the bushes and find whatever you can and make an outfit.’ I picture Michael [Kors] and me, super tan in our director’s chairs and me in a bikini saying, ‘Welcome to the runway!’”

On working with photographer Rankin on her new book, Rankin’s Heidilicious:

“It’s very naughty. I’ve been shooting with this photographer, Rankin, for seven years, and working with him is fun because he always makes me look different. And he always gets me to take my clothes off for some reason. We’ll do some job, and then he’ll say, ‘Why don’t we shoot some more things,’ and I’ll wind up without anything on.”

On her stint as an Emmy co-host:

“Man, we got so beaten over the head for that! It’s not like the four boys and I wrote it. You get hired to do it, they give you a script and you learn your lines. If I could have, I would have done the whole thing in German, with subtitles—everyone in dirndls and on swings and milking cows. Each nominee would have had to ride in on a big cow and milk it.”

Heidi is hilarious!  Can you imagine the ratings her German Emmys would get?!  Oh, and for those of you who want to get your hands on Heidilicious, you’ll have to wait until October 15th, but you can pre-order it here.

Project Runway season 6 it getting ready to fire up next month(August 20th).  Until then, Lifetime has released a trailer to get us ready for another fabulous season of fashion, fun, and plenty of drama.  Plus you get a peek at the new show, Models of the Runway…..

Later next month (August), Project Runway season 6 will premiere on Lifetime.  BEFORE that happens, there will be a Project Runway all-star competition, bringing back some of our favorites from the past.

A source says:

“[f]ilming is apparently taking place around a building in Los Angeles called the Atlas where crews have been closing elevators and roof decks and generally making life inconvenient for tenants.”

I would be annoyed too!  But, showbiz is rather ruthless.  So, who’s going to be in the competition?  So far the ‘leaked names’ are: Chris March, Jeffrey Sebelia, Michael Knight, Daniel Vosovic, Santino Rice, Kenley Collins, Sweet P, and Korto Momolu.  There were a few that didn’t want to participate, Christian Siriano, Rami Kashou, Jack Mackenroth, Kit Pistol and Laura Bennett.  I know Christian is quite busy and beyond successful. Not surprised that he didn’t want to take the time for the show….

How excited are you for season 6 of Project Runway?  There might be a new network, but Lifetime is going to be better than ever and this season is going to rock!

While ‘Project Runway’ is no longer a Bravo TV line-up, one of the (many) sponsors of season 5 - Bluefly.com - will finally have winner Leanne Marshall’s drapey dreams for sale. The designer says it has taken her longer than she originally anticipated, in part because of her cross-country move.

She moved to New York earlier this year and spent months sorting out which manufacturers to use. “At first it was just incredibly overwhelming,” she told us. “I learned this stuff in school but when I’m actually doing it as opposed to ‘I’ll just whip this up myself,’ it’s an entirely different method. It was an incredible learning experience. You know, next time it’s going to be so much easier.”

Marshall has such a sophisticated palette and sensuous flow to her garments and she is able to keep that integrity with her lower priced Bluefly line. I love Marshall’s aesthetic and she was the quiet underdog of season 5. Tim Gunn still mentors her and she designed a maternity dress for Heidi Klum. I can’t wait for more from her.

Now that the smoke has cleared and the lawsuit has been settled, Lifetime has finally announced an official premiere date for season six of Project Runway. When we were told it would debut this summer, I was hoping for a June date. Sadly, we loyal fans will have to wait until August 20 for the big reveal!

I wonder if they will film a seventh season this fall with Heidi Klum already being four months pregnant. That will put her having the baby in September, right around fall fashion week. What will they do?!

Because of a lawsuit between Bravo’s parent company NBC Universal and The Weinstein Company, the Project Runway season finale had to be filmed at NY Spring Fashion Week without identifying who the designers were. For months we had no idea when the litigation would be settled, or when we would get our beloved show back. Finally, everything’s over and we are getting our fix this summer!

“NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes,” NBC Universal said in a Wednesday statement.  “The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome.”

Now that the legal saga surrounding Project Runway has been resolved, Lifetime will move forward with the show and air it this summer.  “I couldn’t be more excited that Lifetime will bring its viewers an amazing, all-new season of Project Runway this summer,” Lifetime Networks president Andrea Wong said in a separate Wednesday statement.

In addition, Lifetime also plans to keep Models of the Runway — a Project Runway spin-off that will provide viewers a look at the reality series through the eyes of the models who participate in it — as a companion series by premiering it this summer.

I am SO excited!!! Bravo obviously quit caring about the show and the last season was terrible. Hopefully Lifetime is able to breathe new life into the masterpiece of Project Runway. And this spin-off sounds delicious, too. I cannot wait!!!!!!

What is it with crazy reality tv women assaulting their boyfriends lately? First, Kelly Killeron Bensimon was arrested for punching her younger man- though her co-stars think it was staged. Now Kenley Collins, the self-proclaimed “inspiration to women” (gag me), has been arrested for the same crime!!

Collins, the second-runner-up on the fifth season of Project Runway that aired on Bravo last fall, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly assaulting and throwing a cat at her sleeping fiance, E! News reported Wednesday. The designer was charged with suspicion of assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon

According to a copy of the police complaint obtained by E! that was filed by Zak Penley, Collins’ presumably now former live-in fiance, Collins allegedly woke Penley at 7AM by throwing her feline at him and then slamming a bedroom door against his head as he tried to leave the room. She then grabbed Penley’s laptop and, after threatening him with it, threw it and struck him in the head. Collins allegedly proceeded to lob apples and a cup of water at Penley’s head as well before stating “You’re lucky, it could’ve been a lot worse.”

Police arrived at the scene later that morning following a call by Penley. Upon arriving, they noted that Penley had suffered “swelling and redness to the face and head,” feared further injury and was “alarmed and annoyed,” according to the police complaint.

After being released without bail on Wednesday, Collins attempted to downplay the situation. “It was a miscommunication,” she told the New York Post. “Fights happen, And that’s that. There is no case.”

Wow- criminal possession of a weapon? Are they calling the cat a weapon? Or are the apples what was deadly? I mean I knew the chick was a nutjob, but oh my gosh. She’s really crazy! Hopefully Zak stays far far away!!

As we reported yesterday, the sixth season of Project Runway’s finale was filmed at New York Fashion Week without identifying any of the finalists due to major legal drama. However, some of the models who participated in the finale have leaked some majorly juicy info about the finalists, though it does us no good right now because we don’t even know who the contestants are.

But although they apparently didn’t get to learn their names, “a few models who were in the show” reportedly�shared some key descriptive information about the designers with OK! Weekly on Friday:�all three of the season’s Final 3 finalists are women and two of them are blondes.

Assuming the models’ information is correct, Project Runway’s sixth season would be the second consecutive Runway edition to feature an all-female group of finale designers.� Leanne Marshall defeated fellow female finalists Korto Momolu and Kenley Collins to win the show’s fifth-season title in October.

Season four winner and media darling Christian Siriano attended and chose his favorite:

He liked the third collection best. “I thought there were pieces I could do without but I thought they were really strong,” he told OK! about the third collection.

There has been major legal drama with Project Runway being moved by the Weinstein company from Bravo to Lifetime without having the “right of first refusal”. The sixth season has been filmed, but we have no idea when it might actually air with dates getting pushed farther and farther back. But hey, the show must go on right? The finale was filmed at NY Fashion Week as usual… almost. The designers weren’t revealed and didn’t get to introduce their collections.

Host Heidi Klum told the audience that she was “a little bit sad” the finalists couldn’t have their moment in the spotlight after working so hard to get there. “This year is gonna be a little bit different for us, for all of you, for our designers backstage. … We’re all in a bit of a limbo and we hope that everything gets sorted out very soon,” Klum said.

The overall mood of the three collections was darkly glamorous, though one designer sent out brighter looks, including a turquoise gown and a gold cocktail dress, echoing the metallic trend seen throughout the week.

International Herald Tribune editor Suzy Menkes was a guest judge for the finale. The new season was filmed in Los Angeles instead of New York, home of the previous five seasons.

I can’t wait for the new season and I wish they would hurry up and settle the legal battles already. I need my PR fix!
