The number of jokes I could make at Rachael Ray’s expense is just too great - I cannot explain, is too much - let me sum up.   The woman who made EVOO a household acronym has pushed the envelope of her little cutesy-wutesy cooking empire a bit further - or a bit lower, depending on your opinion.  She is launching a new line of dog treats.

Rachael Ray Nutrish (gag me) offers two types of food, both named after her own pooch, Isaboo (gag me).

“I love my dog Isaboo, and as a member of my family, I need to make sure that she eats as well as the rest of us,” Ray gushes. “With the launch of Nutrish, I now have the opportunity to share with other pet lovers some of her favorite meals, flavors and special treats.”

Those favorites include the somewhat cloyingly named treats Isaboo Booscotti and Isaboo Grill Bites.

The proceeds from Nutrish sales will go to an Rachael’s Rescue, an “organization founded by the foodie that helps at-risk animals through the adoption process.”

What self respecting dog would eat food called Booscotti? Even if it was for charity?

So a friend of mine was on set last week as Rachael Ray filmed her latest Dunkin’ Donuts commercial. According to her, Rachael stormed onto the set and snapped at everyone. Not news, I know, everyone knows she’s actually a gigantic asshole. BUT! I am also told she took one sip of her Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, yelled “What is this shit? Get me MY coffee,” and would not continue until she was given “her” coffee — i.e., Starbucks.

When did Rachael become such a diva? I have always liked her because she was so down to earth and not demanding. Hopefully, it was just because she was having a bad day.

Everybody’s sweetheart, Valerie Bertinelli, is coming aboard the Rachael Ray daytime talk show to develop segments from the perspective of working moms.

Rachael herself couldn’t be more excited about the new addition. “Valerie is the girlfriend and neighbor you wish you had,” she says. “She lives her life with the same passion that our viewers do. It is really exciting for me to have her as our ‘correspondent extraordinaire.’”

Bertinelli is currently a spokesperson for Jenny Craig and is the first ‘Celebrity Buddy’ to be tapped for Ray’s show.
