Rihanna takes the May cover of Elle magazine wearing a studded Versace lambskin jacket and skirt with her (older) blonde hair.

The 24 year-old, who has already changed hairstyles since the photos were taken, opens up and talks about how she felt after her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown assaulted her:

“It gave me guns,” Rihanna says, referring to the media scrutiny following the photos of the bruised singer hit the net. “I was like, well, f***. They know more about me than I want them to know. It’s embarrassing. But that was my opening. That was my liberation, my moment of bring it. I wanted people to know who I am. Whatever they take that to be, good or bad, I just want them to know the truth.”

“I have more freedom the more people know about me,” she tells Elle. “It’s like, one less skeleton in the closet, one less burden, one less secret; now you know that, so you can say what you want about it. I don’t have anything to hide.”

Rihanna also says she isn’t going to worry about people who think that her recent collaboration with Brown was ill-advised:

“The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently,” the Birthday Cake singer says. “It’s very hard for me to accept, but I get it. People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that’s all right. I don’t hate them for it.”

Rihanna’s issue hits newsstands on April 17th.

Rihanna is spending the holidays with her family in Barbados, and the clan spent a fun day at the beach, swimming and playing in the water.    The sexy singer looked smashing in an orange bikini and a perfect red manicure!  She took time out from her vacation to greet fans at the beach and sign autographs.

Rihanna, sex, drugs, violence and a Chris Brown look-a-like set off RiRi’s new video for “We Found Love” the new single from her upcoming album Talk That Talk.

Boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy is her on-screen lover in the clip and the video takes you through a relationship beginning with flirting to the stormy back-and-forth of love and violence, drug use and hook-ups, to Rihanna’s vomitting of ribbons, crying and eventual leaving.

The upbeat vibe of the song belies the tragic and sad addiction they have to each other than ends badly. The clip opens with a voiceover:

“I saw you screaming and no one can hear. You almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important that without them, you feel like nothing.”

“No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless, like nothing can save you. Then when it’s over, and it’s gone, you almost wish you could have all that bad stuff back, so that you could have the good.”

Esquire has proclaimed Rihanna the Sexiest Woman Alive and she is the almost completely naked cover of the mag’s November issue.

The “Man Down” singer has taken the title and is photographed wearing nothing but a bit of strategically placed seaweed/green goop and mud.

The 23 year-old isn’t impressed with how other people view her hotness and says she doesn’t feel sexy when she performs.

“At the end of a concert, I don’t feel like I’ve been this sexy thing,” Rihanna told the magazine about how she feels after her seemingly sexy stage show. “Really, I don’t even think about it.”

But Rihanna does admit that there are times when it does come out.

“Unless it’s a song that really calls for it, like “Skin” or “S&M”, or when I cover [Prince's] “Darling Nikki.” There’s a section that’s called Sex in the show, which is the obvious section for sexuality,”

Rihanna got ‘Loud’ in Liverpool, England this week when her concert tour made a stop at the Echo Arena.   Ri-Ri played all of her biggest hits, including “Only Girl In The World,” “Shut Up And Drive,” “Man Down,” and “California King Bed.”  She brought an audience member onstage for a raunchy cover of Prince’s “Darling Nikki,” and closed with her signature song, “Umbrella” (…ella…ella…eh eh eh).

This is Rihanna’s third time through Liverpool in three years, and the Liverpool Echo says this was her best show yet.

Rihanna gets the November cover of Vogue UK in a gorgeous Armani Prive black and white gown and blonde Marilyn Monroe style wig.

The 23 year-old Bajan singer told the magazine she wasn’t interested in being a role model, ever.

“See, people – especially white people – they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead,” she told the magazine.

“The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me and being a role model became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That’s it.”

“Look, God doesn’t give any more than you can handle,” Rihanna revealed. “I had to get through a lot of ups and downs – big downs – and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now.”

Rihanna gives us a playful view of her backside on the cover of the September issue of Glamour magazine.

The Dolce & Gabbana backless top and sequin pants show off the 23 year-old singer’s awesome figure.

She talked to the magazine about being a role model, how she wants to be a lady in the bedroom and how life can be messy, but it’s better to have it out in the open than to hide it.

On dealing with how messy life can get: “I think honesty is the ultimate liberation in life. People want to shy away from the truth and keep sweeping it under the rug. But after a while, you pick up the rug and there’s just way too much dirt, so you might as well just be up front about it.”

On being a role model for young girls: “I want to set the right example and, at the same time, live my life. . . . I feel like pop stars can’t be rock stars anymore because they have to be role models, and it takes the fun out of it for us, because we just want to have fun with art.”

On liking dominant guys in the bedroom: “I play a very dominant role in my life, in every aspect of it. And I like to feel like a lady still, at some point. I feel like that’s the time when a guy really gets to be a man, and I get to be a woman. And if I’m being a man in the bedroom too, there’s nothing really in it for me.”

Rihanna’s cover is on sale August 9th.

Last month, Rihanna was announced as the new face of Emporio Armani (replacing Megan Fox), and the first ad in her campaign has been released.  Shot by Steven Klein, the black and white ad for Armani Jeans portrays Rihanna in a chunky sweater, boots, and skin tight pants, posed in an industrial setting.   I am not fond of the blonde wig she’s wearing, nor the way they’ve appeared to have Photoshopped her famously curvy hips and legs, but overall, this is definitely the fierce, Rated R Rihanna of late.

Ri-Ri hasn’t entirely replaced Megan for Armani; Megan will continue to promote Armani beauty and fragrance lines,while Rihanna takes over for Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear.   The company promises to reveal more ads soon, and you know you’ll see them here when they do.

I used to think you had to be dead or have done something pretty freaking amazing, like cure cancer, to be commemorated in a wax figure, but Madame Tussauds keeps proving me wrong.

A new wax figure of Rihanna was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Berlin on Monday.   Unlike many celebrity wax figures, it’s actually quite a good likeness of Ri-Ri in the face.   (Much better than the Washington, D.C. version.) Wax Rihanna seems to have gone on a diet, though.  What happened to all her sexy curves?  And the hair, oh my heavens – the hair.  It literally looks like someone put a red mop on this thing’s head and called it a day.   I’ve said a lot of not so nice things about Rihanna’s hair, but it never ever has looked this bad in real life.

Katy Perry dropped the 2011 MTV VMA’s nominee list last night and the singer found herself leading everyone with 9 nominations including Video of the Year.

She’s up against Beastie Boys, Bruno Mars, Tyler the Creator and Adele in the top honors category.

Adele, along with Kanye West, gave Perry a run for her money in the number of nods; both came in with 8 noms. Bruno Mars grabbed 4 and Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj grabbed 3 each.
