Megan Fox Out, Rihanna In As New Face Of Emporio Armani

It’s time to pass the ad baton.

Megan Fox is handing over the torch for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans and singer Rihanna takes over ad campaign duties.

Rihanna, 23, has already filmed the 2011-2012 Fall/Winter spots and tweeted about it.

“U would NEVER guess what I’m doing right now!!! Hint Hint #Armani,” she tweeted. “Today is SO MUCH fun!!! We still goin… BIG day #EmporioArmani,” she wrote.

Fashion photographer Steven Klein is the man behind the lens and the ads will hit starting in September.

Much is being made about Fox getting replaced however it’s very common for most fashion houses to change the spokesperson after one or two years. David Beckham ran his course with Armani and Cristano Ronaldo took over.

Fox is still the face of the brand’s beauty and fragrance. See Megan’s latest ad here.

Rihanna Covers Cosmo For July

Rihanna get the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s July 2011 issue.

The 23 year-old singer told the mag she wasn’t really into twitter at first but she finds it helps her connect with fans.

“I was so against twitter I couldn’t understand how people were supposed to care what I was doing at any given moment,” Rihanna said. “Then I started to figure out you can treat it like a giant chat room: I can respond directly to people’s questions. It makes it easier to deal with the flak around you because people have a sense of who you are.”

The S & M singer also shares that dating is tough and being solo gives her the clarity to focus on her career.

“It can definitely be intimidating to guys to date someone in the industry,” she laments. “And it’s really hard to find a guy who doesn’t care about that stuff. Right now, its easier to just having my career to focus on.”

As hard as it is to find someone, she does know what she’s looking for in a man.

“I’m turned on to a guy by different things,” Rihanna shares. “It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. Its really a spontaneous thing”

“I’m open to love but guys should have to earn it because the minute they get it, they want something else,” Rihanna shared. “Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep them guessing.”

“Actually, I’m like that too. I get bored very quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that’s the best.”

Rihanna’s Ad Unveiled For Vita Coco Water

In May, the nation’s best selling coconut water, Vita Coco, announced that Rihanna would be the new face of the healthy thirst quencher and be featured in the summer campaign.

The company that counts Madonna and Red Hot Chili PeppersAnthony Kiedis as investors just released the new beachy-keen photo of the singer on Facebook that perfectly embodies the warm weather.

The 23 year-old “Man Down” singer is a fan of the drink and said:

“I love Vita Coco! It’s real coconut water from hand-picked coconuts. It’s delicious and so good for you.”

Vita Coco is an all-natural product that “has 15 times more potassium than that found in sport drinks? It’s also naturally loaded with the five key electrolytes: potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, sodium and calcium,” according to company info.

Gorgeous Rihanna, sipping on Vita Coco water on the white sands of beautiful beach. If these ads don’t encourage you try the drink, I don’t know what will!

WATCH: Rihanna’s New ‘Man Down’ Video

Rihanna takes aim and comes out blazing in the opening scene for her latest single, “Man Down” off her Loud album which debuted on BET’s “106 & Park” last night (May 31).

The video begins with Rihanna shooting a man in a crowded street in Jamaica and we immediately flash back to the previous day, learning that she was sexually assaulted – and presumably raped – the night before by that man after an encounter in a club.

Echoing the lyrics “What started out as a simple altercation/Turned into a real sticky situation/Me just thinking on the time that I’m facing/Makes me wanna cry” the singer is shown alternating between being tortured by her choice to kill and being carefree and open with the locals.

Riri let her fans know she was serious about the message it sends and gave fans a bit of sage advice:

“Young girls/women all over the world… we are a lot of things!” Rihanna tweeted. “We’re strong, innocent, fun, flirtatious, vulnerable, and sometimes our innocence can cause us to be naïve! We always think it could NEVER be us, but in reality, it can happen to ANY of us! So ladies be careful and #listentoyomama! I love you and I care!”

 

Rihanna At 2011 Billboard Music Awards

Striking in all white, Rihanna made her way down the white carpet of the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, May 22nd.

The “California King Bed” singer wore the open front suit from Max Azria with confidence and aplomb. Ri accessorized simply with gold jewelry and her hair (a shade of red-orange tonight) was perfect worn as a bob.

Rihanna was up for a record 18 awards at the ceremony!

Rihanna In Racy Black Lace For 2011 Met Gala

Rihanna gets racy and gives the world a peek at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The “S & M” singer wore a very revealing and sexy number from Stella McCartney. I’m pretty sure there was more cut outs than dress but she looks great! Love her long Rapunzel red braid and killer black strappy heels too! Riri never fails to bring it to the red carpet.

Rihanna was red hot (isn’t she always?) at the DKMS  5th Annual Gala held at Cipriani’s in New York City.

The 23 year-old was awarded for her fundraising, promoting research and raising awareness for Leukemia.

Rihanna was sexy in her long flowing black dress with lace inserts on the sides of her breasts and had her fiery red hair in a 50s beehive.

Rihanna In Revealing White Dress For Australia’s Cleo Magazine

Rihanna is blazing hot for the May cover of Australia’s Cleo magazine.

The 20 year-old singer is poured into the stretchy white jersey dress with cutaway panels to reveal her awesome body and tells the magazine she wasn’t a fan of Russell Brand’s the first time they met.

“I first met him when he was interviewing me on TV. I was sick and it was the worst interview I’ve ever done,”she told Cleo.

“I was throwing up in a bucket and a doctor gave me a shot in my butt. Nothing was funny to me. I thought it was the most stupid f***ing interview I ever did in my f***ing life. Why am I talking to this idiot? He made me want to throw up again,” Riri confided.

But after she felt better, she saw him in a different light.

“Then we did another interview on MTV and I realised he was funny. I was probably a complete bitch, but only months afterwards did I get it,” Rihanna said.

Rihanna sexes up the cover of Rolling Stone and shows how cheeky she is.

The singer wears a white vest and spray on shorts for the music magazine and the 24 year-old has got all the curves in all the right places.

Rihanna, who has been hit with poor ticket sales for her concert shows, is branching out to other music genres’ fans.

RiRi and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland are scheduled to duet Ri’s song “California King Bed” at the first ever fan-jam on the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards show, Sunday April 3rd.

U2, Rihanna And Justin Bieber Recording Album For Japan Benefit

Celebrity musicians and singers are lining up to appear on a charity album to benefit the victims of the recent Japan earthquake and tsunami.

The digital album is being rushed to be available as early as the end of this week and includes artists Rihanna, U2, Justin Bieber, Nicky Minaj, and Bon Jovi are participating.

It is hoped that Lady Gaga will also be available to be featured for the album which will donate the money to the Japanese Red Cross.

Universal Music spokesperson said “We are doing it only digitally because it is faster, and this will be a worldwide release. The plan is to have it available later this week.”

The tracklisting is still unknown and it hasn’t been said whether it will feature previously released music, new singles or a combination.

The record label is trying to line up more artists who are willing to waive royalty fees to collaborate on the digital album so that more money goes directly to the Red Cross.

The confirmed death toll of the quake and tsunami stands at over 9,000 people with 13,000 still unaccounted for.
