All is not rosy for Rosie O’Donnell and her partner Kelli Carpenter. Today, Rosie told USA Today that the two are having “issues.”  When she was asked if they had split up, she said:

“We’re a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues.”

Speaking of the couple’s four children, Rosie got tears in her eyes:

“They’re adorable and wonderful and they are by far a priority. Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties… But everything’s fine and everybody’s good and we’re still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we’re friendly and everything’s all right.”

I can understand her trying to not air all their dirty laundry, but honestly, that sounds like they’ve split up or they are about to split up.   Hopefully for the kids’ sake they’ll either be able to pull it together and make it work, or at the very least keep their breakup civil.

My first question is WHY?  Why on earth did NBC ask for this?  yikes.  ANOTHER show with Rosie O’Donnell.  Haven’t all her past failures taught this network anything?  Looks like this recovering talk show host is going to take a whack at a variety show on NBC.  If you dare, you can preview it tonight on NBC from 8-9.  Rosie Live.  This woman is like a cat with 9 lives.  She just keeps coming back and the drama is always close behind her.  This should be interesting to say the least.  How long do you think the show will last?  IF this show does have any success, it will be all thanks to the guest performances.  A few of the stars lined up for the show are: Alec Baldwin, Alanis Morrissette, Jane Krakowski, Ne-Yo, Liza Minnelli, Rachael Ray, Harry Connick Jr., Clay Aiken, Gloria Estefan, and Kathy Griffin. Maybe there will be a bit of entertainment value with these guys….we shall see!

Rosie O’Donnell turned down an offer from the Oprah show to chat with the Queen of Book Sellers. She is doing an interview with Diane Sawyer instead, according to Page Six.

But while many would kill to be on Oprah’s program, which sells books by the boatload, O’Donnell declined. “She’s doing an interview with Diane Sawyer instead,” our spy said. Cindi Berger, O’Donnell’s rep, said, “Rosie has always been booked with Diane. We gracefully declined Oprah’s offer. I’m sure Rosie will do Oprah’s show another time.”

She’s really crazy to not go to Oprah. It’s an author’s wet dream to be on her show and have her say she loves your book. If the procedes are for charity Rosie, then why not? Those invitations are not extended twice.

Donald Trump has invited Rosie O’Donnell to appear on the next edition of the lowly-rated ‘Apprentice’.  These two should just hook up and get it over with.

“If Rosie would like to do it, she would be treated very fairly,” Trump tells PEOPLE. “Don’t forget her show got the highest ratings in December and January when she and I went at it. So I think it would be very good for Rosie. And she would be treated very fairly.”

O’Donnell declined – with a vengeance.

“It will not happen in this lifetime or beyond,” says her rep Cindi Berger.
