Some celebs go on spiritual quests, some travel through the rain forest, Sandra Bullock turns to groceries to keep herself grounded.

“I like to do my own food shopping. I don’t have a staff to go out and get shopping for me. Occasionally I will ask someone to go out and pick me up some wine if they are by the store - but I always buy my own stuff.”

The “All About Steve” producer and actress lives in Austin, TX with her motorcycle husband, Jesse James. And she makes a point that it’s mostly the people where she is, not just the shopping, that keeps her in place.

“I don’t get hassled by people either when I go shopping. They are so over me here it’s fantastic. They actually roll their eyes at me as if to say, ‘Oh not her again.’ “

I guess if I was a star getting groceries would be as much a luxury as anything. Can you imagine getting mobbed by paparazzi when all you want are bananas? It’s nice to hear that the people around her treat her just like anybody else.

I think that I am one of the only people that is excited about seeing The Proposal with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. But I could be wrong when we see how good the movie did at the box office this weekend.  I’m sure people flocked to see Ryan shirtless because I know I would be going for that exact reason, who can resist Ryan?

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds star in the upcoming movie The Proposal, and much has already been made about their nude scene.  E! Online asked Sandra about getting naked with Ryan and she described his body as “rock hard”!

E!:  Really? Rock hard?

Sandra:  No! Ryan is rock hard, but no no no no, nothing was hard. I’m sure it gets hard, but not that time, and it was all fine. I mean, I wouldn’t know if he had anything down there because I never looked!

I like Stephanie Pratt almost the most of the whole Hills cast. And now I can’t decide what she said to Sandra Bullock is dumb or just plain adorable.

Stephanie was trying to chat up Sandra at the press junket of the movie, The Proposal, this weekend when Stephanie said that Sandra was her grandfather’s favorite actor. But that was nothing. The next thing she said was the kicker.

“Oh, he’s dead now, but the two films of yours he used to watch over and over were ‘Miss Congeniality’ and ‘Pretty Woman.’”

What did Sandra say in return?

“Well, if I were actually in ‘Pretty Woman’ I’d be very flattered.”

The smart people over at Funny or Die have figured out a way to drum up some extra promotion of the movie, The Proposal, starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. They give us a glimpse of the back stage drama that was going on between Ryan and Betty White. Ryan tells Betty right where it’s at. There is a lot of cussing in this video, but don’t worry it’s all bleeped.

I think it’s funny when Sandra tells Ryan that no one knows who he is. I am afraid to say that I would notice Ryan’s name anywhere. Even in a dark alley.

Actress Sandra Bullock is the new cover girl for the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar (June 2009) and doesn’t she look absolutely gorgeous!? I think Sandra just doesn’t age – like a good red wine. Plus she is 100% natural!

In the interview, the 44 year-old actress talks about her marriage to eccentric husband Jesse James, fashion during recession, how she finally feels free in her forties and starting a family. Don’t expect to see Sandra with a baby bump anytime soon… it seems like she is leaning towards adoption. Here are some highlights from Sandra Bullock’s Harper’s Bazaar interview:

Sandra on that rare, candid paparazzi shot of her and husband Jesse James dirt biking: “I panicked. We were in the desert, no place to pee. So I peed outside. [I thought] on the cover of the tabloids there’s going to be a picture of me peeing by a cactus. And yes, I did it. I’ll do it again.”

Sandra on marriage to her husband, Jesse James: “I’ve had to learn a hard lesson in that I’m not allowed to open car doors anymore. It was so hard for me to allow someone to take care of me. It’s not because I can’t take care of myself. But Jesse was like, Just let me do this.”

Sandra on whether she’ll start a family of her own with Jesse James: “You don’t have to give birth to someone to have a family. I’m not going to spend two seconds of my life wishing I had something I don’t. It’s hard to do it your way when you hear everyone else telling you to do it their way. I just want people to admit that there’s no one way to live your life. Of course, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I could go home today and go, I haven’t started my period.”

Sandra on having a recession-friendly fashion sense: “I’ve never really had ‘the closet,’ you know, like the Kimora Lee Simmons closet. I see that and I want the leopard carpet. I want the chaise. But if we learn anything from this economic collapse, it’s just work with what you’ve got.”

Sandra on finding freedom in her 40’s: “I didn’t have a teenage or early-20s experience that was free and without worry. I missed the screw-everything, have-a-good-time phase. I was worried that if I didn’t stay on track and work, work, work, I was never going to accomplish anything. Now I’m trying to have fun and have the freedom to do nothing.”

It’s nice ot have some good news to report.� Sandra Bullock is going be be a full time step-mom and I think that it’s WONDERFUL.� Jesse James‘ ex-wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder is going behind bars for 6 months.� So, Sandra and Jesse will be caring for Jesse’s little girl,� Sunny.

Already close to Sunny � the two are often seen at the playground � Sandra takes on this new responsibility under difficult circumstances: On March 10, Sunny�s mother, former adult film star Janine Lindemulder, 40, will head for federal prison to serve a six-month sentence for income tax evasion. While Janine is behind bars, an Orange County, Calif., court awarded temporary full custody of Sunny to Jesse.

�Sandra will be fantastic as a full-time mom,� says actor Denis O�Hare, her co-star in her upcoming film The Proposal. �Jesse�s daughter is lucky to have Sandra in her life.�

The role of stepmom is not new to Sandra: She�s also close to Jesse�s two older children, daughter Chandler, 13, and son Jesse Jr., 10, from his marriage to Karla James.

�If the court gave Jesse James custody of Sunny, well� that�s her daddy. He should take care of her,� Janine�s aunt, Marjorie Lindemulder, tells OK!. �I just hope and pray for everyone involved.�

As for Sandra, the challenge appears to be a blessing. �I don�t see the difference in having blood-related kids or children who come with your husband,� she said last spring. �I am very blessed.�

I am so glad that little Sunny will be in a good home.� I hope that this can be a permanent arrangement.� I don’t think that Janine should ever get her daughter back.� She is a low life.� Simple as that.� Sandra Bullock rocks!

Rumor has is that Stallone is trying to get Sandra Bullock to Star in his new star-studded action film The Expendables.�The film will already be starring�JasonStatham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker and Randy Couture.

That’s what we’ve heard from someone who’s worked on several Stallone projects, including this one. And while it’s not a “done deal”, Sly is apparently indeed pursuing her for the project. Bullock would play a government agent (paired up with Whitaker) on the hunt for Stallone’s crew of hired guns. Delicious. Thanks to ‘Belly’ for the tip!

I hope she agrees, and I hope the movie is really great, quite the line-up!

Well here’s one I didn’t expect to see. Keanu Reeves may be starring in a sequel to the Speed movies.

However, an AICN reader sent us a brief message (adequately contextualizing how he came across the following information), offering a tantalizing clue as to how Fox wants to get up to SPEED again. And…it may NOT be a remake?

Here’s what his message said:

There’s a scriptment floating around that reintroduces Jack Traven. So the studios are hoping to get Keanu back on board.�

For those who’ve forgotten (or never cared enough to remember), the “Jack Traven” character originated by Keanu in the first film did not appear in SPEED 2; Reeves was replaced by the relentlessly bland Jason Patric (starring in a new role).

I couldn’t care less about a sequel, my bet is that this is a just a goofy rumor. I think the public is smart enough… oh no, never mind this will be a hit.�
