And it’s a good thing, too, since she has three kids now.  Sarah Jessica Parker appears on the cover of December 2009 Elle and talks a lot about family and being a mom.   Being a mom is great, as most of us who are moms will agree.  However, there’s one point on which I think SJP has gone plainly nuts.  She says:

“I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good.”

I don’t know what she’s feeding her twins, Loretta and Tabitha, but I’ve never encountered a wet diaper that smelled like baked goods.   But I guess someone has to love it, so you go, girl.

Here’s a bit of a spoiler for the upcoming Sex and the City sequel, don’t read if you don’t want to hear any plot details.

Thanks to Patricia Field, the stylist for the movie, we have the scoop on Carrie’s 80’s outfit. “It was in the beginning of the movie,” Field explained to People.

“Carrie was waiting to meet her girlfriends and she was thinking about when she first moved to New York in the ’80s and how she met Samantha and Charlotte. They’re all, in real time, meeting to go shopping. And in her flashback time, she is thinking of when she first met each one of them.”

When asked about Miley and Penelope Cruz’s guest appearances, Patricia said, “That’s in the story line, but I’m not going to tell that one,” Field teases. “But, it’s fun. Miley’s a very good character. She’s a really nice girl. She’s happy and with it! She’s a very cool girl.”

During the first movie the gals traveled to Mexico after Big left Carrie at the alter, and it looks like they’ll be doing some traveling for the sequel too!

Not news that I even care about, but I’m sure there are plenty of rabid fans loving the news about the fashion the ladies will be wearing. This movie will be a big hit just like the first one was.

We haven’t gotten to see much of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s beautiful twin girls, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge Broderick yet.  But, today the little princesses we spotted out in New York City with their nanny.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are at home enjoying their baby girls.  The twins’ surrogate mother, Michelle Ross is still dealing with the creepy cops behind the burglary that took place in her home.

Thankfully, justice is being served and these d-bags are facing the music.  Police Chief of Martins Ferry, OH Barry P. Carpenter and Police Chief of Bridgeport, OH Chad M. Dojack are facing serious charges for trying to steal evidence from Michelle Ross’ home, to prove she was in fact the surrogate to SJP and Broderick’s babies. Sickos, really? Is that what this world is coming to? Stealing information from pregnant women to make a buck?

Carpenter faces two counts of burglary, and one court for receiving stolen property, theft in office, tampering with evidence and unauthorized use of property or services. Dojack is charged with two counts complicity to burglary and one count complicity to receiving stolen property. The police chiefs face around 8 years in the clink if found guilty on the burglary charges.

A third man, Bruce Callarik — who happens to be the son of Bridgeport’s mayor — is charged with complicity to receiving stolen property as well.

I hope they get the book thrown at them.  These jerks are pleading NOT guilty!  They better never get to work for the police department ever again…..

Much to the dismay of rabid fans everywhere, the upcoming sequel to Sex and the City is being delayed.

Filming in New York has already been pushed back until the end of August and now sources claim plans to film in Dubai have upset the government of the strict Muslim nation. A source tells Us Weekly, “The UAE authorities aren’t keen on the title because of the word ’sex’.”

This isn’t a major setback, just a little longer to wait, I wouldn’t expect to see this out until summer of 2011.

This Sex in the City star and new mom of twin girls is taking to reality TV.  Yes, that’s correct.  Sarah Jessica Parker is teaming up with Bravo to fire up a reality TV-like competition for aspiring artists where they will compete for a cash prize, gallery show, and sponsorship.

The untitled series will follow 13 aspiring artists as they compete in art-themed challenges from a range of disciplines — including sculpture, painting, photography and industrial design.

In addition, the contestant will complete works of art that will be appraised by a panel of top figures in the art world, including artists, gallerists, collectors, curators and critics.

What a clever idea!  I am looking forward to seeing something with some culture.  It’s hard to find that in reality TV…..

Sarah Jessica Parker opens up here about her twins that are set to “arrive” in July.  She and her husband Matthew Broderick are very excited for their baby girls to be born.  They are so thankful to the surrogate for making this possible.  But, SJP speaks about the terrible invasion of privacy the the surrogate is facing.

I really hope that people back off and let these babies come into this world at the right time and not cause undo stress on the surrogate.  Some people just don’t know when to back off.  It’s really sad.  We hope and pray everything goes smoothly for the baby girls all the way……

Sarah Jessica Parker is best known for being a fashion icon thanks to her role as Carrie Fisher in Sex and the City. Apparently now she is also a reality tv show developer!

Bravo has announced that it has picked up American Artist, Sarah Jessica Parker’s new Project Runway-like reality competition series for aspiring artists. Each episode of American Artist will feature the show’s contestants competing in art-themed challenges from a range of disciplines — including sculpture, painting, photography and industrial design — and completing works of art that will be appraised by a panel of top figures in the art world, including fellow artists, gallerists, collectors, curators and critics.

American Artist’s winner will receive a gallery show, a cash prize and a sponsored national tour.

Bravo is really grasping at straws here trying to fill the ginormous shoes of Project Runway. They have also developed new series for Work Out star Jackie Warner and former Runway finalist Laura Bennett.

Jackie’s Gym Takeover, Warner’s new reality series, will use a Kitchen Nightmares-like format and feature Warner visiting struggling gym owners and using her own gym ownership and entrepreneurial experience to help the owners turn their failing businesses around.

Bennett — who finished third on Project Runway’s Summer 2006 third season — will star in Laura Bennett, the working title of a new docu-reality series that will follow the fashion designer as she juggles her career with her personal life, which includes her husband, six children (five of them boys), and a band of misbehaving family pets.

I’ll be interested to see how all of these shows do. The only one I will likely tune in for is SJP’s American Artist. Will you watch any of these new developments?

Sarah Jessica Parker was in London recently to launch The Lovely Collection - her new line of perfumes.

The collection includes three fragrances - Dawn, Endless and Twilight.  They are “inspired by lovely moments” and intended to complement Lovely, the fragrance Parker launched in 2005.    She says she hopes they

will be…‘more personal and accessible, because I want them to feel like moments in life’.

What does that even mean?  Parker expounds:

“Dawn is the fresh and clean scent,” she continued. “Its inspiration was morning, sunrise. It’s about enjoying those few moments for yourself, stepping out and welcoming what the day has to bring your way. Endless is the fruity, floral scent. The inspiration for this one was those moments you find yourself in a state of pure happiness, loving life. And Twilight is the sexy, musky scent. This one is for those moments of intimacy, of love and being close. It’s slightly complex and mysterious.”

Supposedly this line is priced for the value-conscious, so if you are so inclined, you can smell like SJP on the cheap.

Sarah Jessica Parker, actress and fashion icon, is the March 2009 cover girl for the Fashion/Spring Issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Many fans are waiting with baited breath for the next Sex & The City movie, and why not. Everyone misses the girls gossiping about sex, men, relationships and fashion! But until then we will just have to read the interview on her, she talks about the recession, Gossip Girl and renewing her vows to husband, Matthew Broderick. Here are the highlights…

On how Carrie Bradshaw would handle these recessionary times: “She would probably end up in a hospital. Perhaps she would go back to her ’80s stuff and start bringing it out again.”

On what she can’t live without: “My son! My husband! Food! Oh, fashion? I don’t know. A good bra?”

On what she’d wear to renew her vows: “White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day. James Wilkie’s teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black? I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.’ Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.’”

On how the Sex and the City bus tour affects her life as a New Yorker: “Ah, yes, I run into it. There are times when it’s totally terrific, and there are times when I’m like, Oh, God, I’d better run in the other direction. Especially when I’m with my son.”

On her advice for surviving modern celebrity: “Don’t surround yourself with bodyguards and SUVs, and return everything you are loaned in the shape in which you received it. Return jewelry, return bags, clean out the bags!”

On TV’s current closest thing to Sex & the City — Gossip Girl: “Are the characters sexually active? I hear it’s pretty sophisticated, the content. Is there any concern over the impression that it’s making on young women? I’m not asking in condemnation, but I’m just curious.”

I have always been a HUGE fan of Sex in the City’s, Sarah Jessica Parker.� I think she looks totally adorable all bundled up wearing her Uggs in the cold of a New York winter.� She and her son James were heading out for school and she even pauses to flash us her sweet smile.
