Jessica Simpson isn’t the only girl on the cover of April 2012 Elle.  A sophisticated and elegant Heidi Klum appears on an alternate cover for this month’s issue.   Alongside photos by Thomas Whiteside, Klum talks about her kids, her early style (“It was horrible,” she says) and opens up about her recent split from husband Seal.

Admitting that celebrity life feels like being “in the eye of the tornado,”  she shares:

“I don’t want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we’re in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don’t think it’s necessary—especially for our children—to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about.”

Looks like the rumors were unfortunately true: Hollywood power couple Heidi Klum and Seal are ending their marriage. They made the following statement on Sunday:

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.

“We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.

“We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

It’s a very civilized statement, but the current buzz is that Klum just can’t deal with Seal’s bad temper anymore, especially its effects on their children, Leni (7), Henry (6), Johan (5) and Lou (2).  Other sources say that she’s tired of all the partying he does while he’s on tour.  And then again, there’s always that pesky little seven year itch…

The couple were known for renewing their wedding vows each year on their anniversary.  They had just done so in May 2011, in Palm Beach, Florida.

Heidi Klum and Seal went over to the hairy side of the DNA pool and dressed up as apes for Halloween.

The Project Runway host loves Halloween and throws multiple bashes each year to dress up and celebrate with friends and family.

The pair were hairy, lovey-dovey and virtually unrecognizable at the New York party held at the PH-D Rooftop Lounge at Dream Downtown.

Besides the fur, Heidi was sure to show you she was a girl with her primate boobs on display. You’ve got to love Heidi!

This year, her Las Vegas shindig was held on Saturday night and she arrived on an autopsy gurney as a skinned corpse.

The famous couple were beyond dressed to the nine for Heidi Klum’s 11th Annual Halloween Party at Lavo in NYC and have been making the fashion headlines all day.

They are pretty creative and yeah, I’d take those over the boob explosion Coco showed up with.  But, I prefer a little more traditional costumes.  What do you think?  Brilliant or way too over the top?

Supermodel Heidi Klum has taken Seal’s last name, and now Seal wants to adopt Heidi’s first daughter, Leni. Seal has already started the legal proceedings and is hoping to have everything done by Christmas.

Heidi’s father Guenther said: “Heidi, Seal and the kids have always been a happy family – in everyday life and in their hearts. Then they should also be happy on paper.”

Leni is the daughter of Formula One boss Flavio Briatore. Heidi was pregnant but had already split with Flavio by the time she met Seal. Thankfully, Flavio has given Seal permission to go ahead with the adoption.

I think this is great. Seal has always spoken about Leni as his daughter, and with the adoption underway, it will be legal.

What a wonderful Christmas present.

White trashed!   I would have never thought this of one of the hottest couples in America.  But, this sweet couple got very creative.  Heidi Klum and her hubby Seal have been trying to have their wedding vows renewed as they do every year.  But, since the swine flu hit Mexico, they were unable to have the ceremony at the spot where they were originally married.   Instead they went to a friend’s house in Malibu and had a ‘white trash’ themed shindig.  Hilarious!  Seal wore a mullet wig, NASTY!  And Heidi looked hilarious in corn rows.  I love that they had such a sense of humor.  Congrats!  I am glad you guys got to have a special day inspite of your original plans being foiled.

Heidi Klum and her very sweet husband Seal always renew their wedding vows at the same spot in Mexico each year.  but Costa Careyes isn’t the best place for anyone worried about the Swine Flu and I’d say especially not a good place for anyone with a baby on board.  So, the happy couple have canceled their yearly wedding plans.

“Heidi was worried about border closings and her three small children,” the insider reveals. “And of course, she’s pregnant.”

I think they are being very smart unlike Speidi who went down there and looked like morons with their face masks on.  Perhaps they should have changed their location rather than risking their lives…LMAO….

Heidi Klum threw her 9th Annual Halloween party Friday night at the 1 Oak nightclub. I can’t get over her costume. She is dressed up as K?l?, the multi-armed goddess of death and destruction.
