Shakira was in rehearsal for the recording of ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ in New York City on Wednesday (November 18). I am guessing this was an early morning rehearsal since Shakira is looking au naturale. I am loving it! We rarely get to see these big stars without all the glitz and glam that comes with being in the spotlight. I gives Shakira huge kudos for stepping out with nothing on. She looks beautiful. Rock on girl!
Saturday Night Live had me pumped this week. I have been looking forward to some Gerard Butler and Shakira for days! I don’t think that GB could do anything wrong in my eyes. So when he opened in song while kicking some @ss, I was thoroughly entertained. Perfection.
SNL commercials are always insanely funny. My fave of the night was the first one. The Grand Hoochie Skank Rose was to die for! Ha!
The Beauty and the Beast skit was hysterical. Beast loves a ‘big ole @ss’….oh wow, too funny for words.
Shakira’s first song was SOS. That girl has those moves that only she can do and she makes it look so easy! Whenever I try to do that myself, it turns out bad…. How does she do it? I loved her performance. She’s always perfection. Next she performed Did It Again and continued to show off her amazing flexibility. WOW.
During Weekend Update, Seth opened with the Balloon Boy story, “A boy hid in a box. So I guess that was a faster way to tell that story.” Ha! That about sums it up. Later the balloon made a ‘guest appearance’, that was good.
Throughout the show, we got to see clips form old episodes. I loved that! I hope they start doing that every week!
James Franco popped in for a cameo during What Up With That? and made me die laughing doing nothing. Classic. Love that guy.
How about Daveheart? The younger brother of Braveheart….William Wallace? Too much, seriously. I love Gerard Butler. The goat! That was great!
Last night on Dancing With the Stars, the highlight of the show wasn’t exactly the elimination of Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya. It was all about the announcement of the NEW Bachelor: Wings of Love for season 14. Click here to see who it is!
AND Shakira. She was the buzz of the internet as soon as she performed, Did It Again and Hips Don’t Lie. These performances will only help boost sales for her latest album, She Wolf.

Shakira gets sexy in black leather and not much else for the November 2009 issue of i-D Magazine. She’s still hot on the promotion trail for her new single, “She-Wolf.” I like how they did her hair all crazy and matted like she’s a wild animal. Last night was the season finale of America’s Got Talent and Kevin Skinner took home the $1 million prize. There were some great celebrity performances. But, Shakira’s stuck out big time. She Wolf was more of a strip club performance……
What do you think? Was Shakira’s performance inappropriate for a family show? I understand that those hips are Shakira’s trademark, but I feel like she could/should have toned it down for a family show like that.

Colombian singer/songwriter Shakira is back with a new album that still has no title after a long absence from the spotlight. The first single from her forthcoming studio album is “She Wolf” (Spanish version is “Loba”), which will be available worldwide from July 13th.
The English album will be released in October 2009 followed by a new and unique album in Spanish that should come out next year. The 32 year-old singer poses sexily inside a locked cage on the single’s, “She Wolf”, cover. SEXY!!

Man, now a Shakira sex tape is something I might actually watch! Turns out, all the hype was just that…hype, because no such tape exists. It was all a prank! Or so says Guanabee.com.
In a joint statement, the singers representatives said: This is a false rumour. This is totally absurd any way you look at it. There is no possibility that such a video exists.
I guess we’ll have to resort to imaginations after all. Shakira basically makes love to the camera in all her videos, so it’s not a big stretch!

Shakira is generously donating time and money to help areas in Latin America that have gone without attention. Announcing this at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York this week, the singer will put her money to help natural disaster areas and educational needs.
According to reports, $40 million will be given to the regions of Peru and Nicaragua, where disasters like earthquakes and hurricanes have left severe damages.
The remainder will be put towards educational projects for children who live in poverty and can not afford to get proper schooling in Latin American countries.
Shakira is also co-founder of another charitable organization, ALAS. A beautiful woman with abig heart.
People magazine reports Shakira is quietly hitting the books at UCLA this summer, in a marked contrast to every othermusician/Hollywood starlet her age who parties and enters rehab in between projects. Beauty and brains for a purpose, other than self-promotion is refreshing to see.
The Colombian star is taking classes with the prestigious professor Robert Cleve, who has his doctorate in the subject.
Thank goodness for young women like her and Natalie Portman who can stand head and shoulders above the pack.
