Melanie Brown has revealed that she and her Spice Girls sisters are planning to reunite in honor of Queen Elizabeth‘s Diamond Jubilee.

Brown spilled the news during a TV appearance in Australia.  When asked to confirm rumors that the girls are performing at the 2012 Olympics opening ceremonies in London, she said:

“I think the Queen’s Jubilee concert is the event I’d be looking at more closely for that to happen. I’m always down for a Spice Girls reunion.  I love the Scary hair and platforms. Any time of day or night I’ll be there.”

Backstage, she reportedly told the TV crew that she had revealed too much.

“I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It’s all so totally bloody top-secret still.”

Whoops.  Well, you can’t unring a bell, so all we can do at this point is look forward to the show.

The year-long celebration marks the monarch’s 60 years on the throne of England. Although there are events scheduled throughout 2012, most of the festivities will center around the first weekend in June; Elizabeth was crowned Queen on June 2, 1953.

Baby Spice is outnumbered.

Emma Bunton, most famous for being a member of the all-girl group The Spice Girls, has given birth to a baby boy.

Little 7 pound Tate joins his older brother, Beau, 3, and her fiance, Jade Jones in forming a new all-guys group for the singer to enjoy life with.

Bunton’s rep released a statement saying all is well and they are thankful for the joyful thoughts:

“Both mother and baby are doing well and the family are over the moon and would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes and support.”

Emma tweeted her happiness.

“Our beautiful son Tate has arrived safe and sound! We are all so happy and excited. Thanks and love to you all. Xx,” she said.

“Thank you so much for all your lovely messages! Still on cloud 9 with my boys!! Night. Xx”

The ITV Dancing on Ice audience got a bit of unexpected news from judge Emma Bunton.

The former Baby Spice Girl announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Jade Jones on the program on Sunday, January 23rd. Bunton revealed the happy news to her costars and fellow judges during a commercial break and when the show returned live, she flashed her engagement ring to the crowd.

The 35 year-old Bunton and 31 year-old Jones have been together for 11 years. Jones was in the British boy band Damages before his current career: chef.

The couple have one child together, son Beau, and Bunton announced her second pregnancy in November 2010.

Who wants more Spice Girls in their life? I know I do. I can’t get enough. Following their 2007 reunion tour, there has been a buzz on what the five ladies would be up to next.  Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) started tongues wagging recently when she said that they were working on a new project, but she would not give anymore details than that.

Now we know. Get ready for a Spice Girl musical!

“The project is Geri (Halliwell)’s baby, really, but all the girls are backing it. The idea is for five relatively unknown actresses to take the parts and hopefully the girls will each have a say in who is cast”.

The Spice Girls consist of Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice). The play will follow all five of the women on their road to becoming the mega group in the 90s.

Mel B‘s burlesque show Peepshow debuted in Las Vegas last week, and it looks like quite a performance. The former Spice Girl

stars as Peep Diva, described as ‘a bold and powerful woman with all the answers’, who acts as the mistress of ceremonies… She guides the timid Bo Peep, played by American TV starlet Kelly Monaco, on a journey of self-discovery and sexual awakening.

Kelly’s character blossoms into a ‘sexy, daring, provocative and more confident woman’ with Mel’s expert help.

Highlights of the show include paint being poured on a man tied up in a bed, and Mel dragging a topless man across the stage. Not so sure about this hackneyed storyline, but there is no doubt that Mel looks amazing.   If you’re going to be in Vegas in the next three months, catch the show at Planet Hollywood.  And in the meantime, you can peep photos from Peepshow here.

Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm aka Sporty Spice gave birth to baby Scarlet just three weeks ago, but she’s already showing her off to the world.

Mom and daughter appear on the cover of next week’s Hello! Magazine.  All the former Spice Girls offer their congratulations to Mel and partner Thomas Starr in the article:

Victoria Beckham kept it simple:

“I am extremely happy for Melanie and Thomas.  They will be wonderful parents and I am hoping to meet baby Scarlet when I am in London in the next few weeks.”

Emma Bunton was all praise:

“I went to see Melanie and Scarlet last week.  Scarlet is one of the cutest little girls I’ve ever seen and Melanie is an absolutely natural mother. It was a real joy to spend time with them.”

Geri Halliwell took some credit:

“I do always say Bluebell is like some sort of fertility doll. Five friends got pregnant after playing with her, and then Melanie gets pregnant after the tour!  I’m so happy for Melanie. She has all the great qualities to make an excellent mother. I love the name Scarlet and wish them both so much happiness.”

Melanie Brown shared an interesting bit of trivia:

The pair spoke ‘before the birth and on the day of the birth’ and shared another Spice connection, as Mel C had Scarlet in the same room where Mel had daughter Phoenix, ten.

You know what I love about this picture?  Mel looks like a real person.  She looks tired, but beautiful – like a mom of a newborn baby.  She has a few wrinkles, and no one tried to Photoshop them out.   And why should they?  So refreshing!

Mel B is the face of Ultimo Lingerie, so naturally, she appears in their latest ad campaign.  Can’t you just hear her saying, “Read ‘em and weep, Eddie Murphy!”

Mel has a pretty amazing body (except that she doesn’t seem to have much of a waist), but there’s something that doesn’t work very well in these photos.  I don’t know if it’s the lingerie itself, or if she was just styled strangely, or what.

However, Mel may be shifting her focus from this gig to another one:  she is about to make her Las Vegas debut in burlesque Peep Show.  She will play the role of Peep Diva, “a bold and powerful woman with all the answers who guides the timid character of Bo on a swift journey of awakening and self-discovery.”

She won’t be topless, though.  She will be “scantily clad, but in a classy way.”  Huh?  What’s the fun of a burlesque if it’s not topless?

The Spice Girls’ Mel C, real name Melanie Chisholm, has given birth to a baby girl!

Scarlett Starr weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz.� Dad is Mel’s partner of six years, Thomas Starr.

Mel posted the happy news on her website:

‘Melanie C gave birth to a beautiful little girl at 4.10pm on Sunday 22nd February. Both mum and baby are doing well.’

Congratulations and welcome Scarlett!

Mel B had a pretty Scary (sorry for the bad pun) situation on her hands today at Heathrow Airport.

Mel and her husband Stephen Belafonte and her daughter Angel had just landed from New York when a passer-by began shouting abusively at them.� When Belafonte tried to intervene,

The man screamed: “I’ll get a knife and stab you”

Paparazzi to the rescue again � photographers separated the two before any damage was done. The man was arrested, and Mel�s rep released this statement:

�It was quite a scary situation but Mel and Stephen and the baby are fine.”

See! Her spokesperson made the same bad pun! Glad everyone is OK.
