Janice Dickinson may well be the most self-centered, arrogant woman on television. Her show Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency had a trans gendered contestant in its first season, while Tyra Banks‘ America’s Next Top Model debuts the first one this season. Here’s what Janice had to say about that:

“I did it on my show first with Claudia (Charriez),” the 53-year-old said. “But you know what? There’s not going to be a moment where Tyra’s not going to knock me off, so I’m not bothered by her.”

Well, maybe she’s a little bothered. Seems Janice thinks her former “Top Model” boss owes her some gratitude. “I (never got) a note or call (from Tyra) thanking me for helping to put her show on the map,” Janice complained. “Whatever. She’s not my favorite person.”

Right… Because Janice Dickinson is responsible for Tyra’s meager success. Ok. Guess she’s still a little bitter about that feud that led to her departure from Top Model.

This week, sad news cloud my column as the fashion world has been shocked to learn that former Yves Saint Laurent model Katoucha Niane, 47, has been found dead. Her body was found in the Seine River in Paris, Parisian police revealed.

Niane, better known simply as Katoucha, was last seen Friday night after she left a party with a friend. She headed home, and was never seen alive again. Police say an accidental fall was likely the cause of her death.

A Guinean, Niane immigrated to Europe at age 17 to become one of the first African supermodels, which she did achieve. She posed for people like Irving Penn, and maintained her friendship with Saint Laurent long after retiring as a model in 1994.

Niane was circumcised when she was 9, an experience that scarred her for the rest of her life. She had been campaigning against the practice of circumcising girls in Africa for a very long time, and was a true believer in what she fought for. The incredible beauty on her Black face and her long, brown hair, which effectively made her look like a real life version of an  African Barbie, hid a heart of a feminist who never stopped believing in her causes. Our condolences go to her loved ones.

The Argentine superstar, who will not be touring with internationally archfamous pop rock group Erreway during their 2008 international tour, recently wore a blue one piece bathing suit that’s all the scream. I liked the way she looked in more ways than just one. After all, even if she is my close friend, I am nothing but a carnal, animalistic, sad big dog looking for meat. In other words, I am a man.  And not like Boy George, who once actually declared on “Karma Chameleon” that he was a “man without convictions”. Not that kind of man. I have convictions and one of them is that Luisana Lopilato looks fine as hell in her bathing suit. Kate Moss may be off the market soon. The supermodel is said to be planning a chicks only trip to tell her closest girlfriends, including best pal Davinia Taylor of her impending engagment to her rocker beau Jamie Hince.

‘Kate has told five friends, including best pal Davinia Taylor, that she wanted to go to Amsterdam to have some girlie fun and also to tell them something special,’ a source tells the Daily Star.

‘Some of her mates think it could well be a hen do, which Kate will only ‘fess up to once they are there.’

Kate’s plans were almost scuppered because Davinia, 30, planned to go to Berlin for a mini-break on the same dates.

‘Both Kate and Davinia laughed lots,’ says the insider, ‘but it was Davinia who relented.’

Since ending her relationship with Pete Doherty last year, Moss seems to be making strides toward growing up a little.

Age sneaks up on us all eventually and the once always youthful looking Kate Moss is no exception. She had an epic party this weekend, lasting days, for her 34th birthday and here she is with wrinkles and laugh lines.

She was still looking pretty fresh-faced 15 years after her modelling debut at her 30th bash, where she cheekily hired four topless lookalikes of her ex JOHNNY DEPP to wheel out her birthday cake.

But this was long before she’d met grubby junkie PETE DOHERTY.

Once she hooked up with Pete Kate’s face caught up with her years.

All night parties, gallons of booze and goodness knows what else aren’t great tonics for the skin.

I gotta say, I think Kate looks great still. Yes she’s not 25 anymore and we are so used to the Nicole Kidman’s of the world who’ve never met a botox shot they didn’t like, when we see Moss, we criticize her for looking human. I think she will still sell products and that is the bottom line after all.

It’s being reported that French President Nicolas Sarkozy has married singer and supermodel Carla Bruni at a secret ceremony held at the Elysée palace, just two months after they met and three months after he divorced his second wife.

If the reports are true, Sarkozy is the first French leader to marry in office since Napoleon.

Previous reports had suggested that a wedding had been provisionally planned for February 8 or 9.

Miss Bruni, now a successful singer who recently admitted to finding monogamy “boring,” reportedly already has a room in the Elysée for herself where she can compose songs for her new album.

She has been seen sporting two large heart-shaped diamond rings offered by Mr Sarkozy and considered to be engagement gifts.

The report comes just four days after three books were released on his former wife of 11 years Cécilia, who paints her ex-husband in a highly unflattering light.

In one, she describes him as a stingy philander who loves nobody, “not even his own children”.

Bruni has a reputation for dating older, powerful men (Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Donald Trump).

The world’s richest supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, 27, is about to add another few zeros to her staggering $33 million a year income. The leggy brazilian model will do a spin-off line for fashion powerhouse design team of Dolce & Gabbana for whom she already is the face of their fragrance, The One.

A source said: “Gisele has received so many offers to design clothes but has always turned them down and stuck to what she knows best - the catwalk. However, Dolce and Gabbana are close friends with Gisele and have finally persuaded her to broaden her horizons and work with them on her own signature range.”

Bundchen by Dolce and Gabbana is set to be released worldwide in spring 2008.

Bundchen quit working with Victoria’s Secret earlier this year after the lingere company wouldn’t increase her $5 million annual salary.

Good luck with that! Model Kate Moss is fuming that her ex, Pete Doherty, is allegedly shopping their private stash of sex tapes around for the highest bidder.

Moss would be “horrified” if the tapes surfaced, specifically because of some “raunchy” footage that Moss thought would be for their eyes only.

Some sites are reporting that Moss is actually suing Doherty, but I cannot find confirmation of that as of yet.

Bombshell model Carla Bruni has the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy under her considerable charms. Bruni has a reputation for dating older, powerful men (Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Donald Trump to name a few,) and leaving a trail of tears in her wake. Jagger was infamously seeing Bruni on the side when long term girlfriend, Jerry Hall finally gave him the boot because Jagger met up with Bruni just after Hall had given birth to the couple’s third child.

As for her romance with the recently divorced Sarkozy, she seems at ease with the media storm surrounding her in France.

And this weekend they chose a family trip to Disneyland Resort Paris to air their relationship in public for the first time, ending speculation that bubbled up in November when Bruni was spotted at the presidential palace, and rose to a simmer when she was later spotted walking through the grounds of the Chateau of Versailles with Sarkozy and her mother.

The liaison between the man who has been touted as Europe’s most eligible bachelor since his divorce from his wife, Cecilia, in October and the Italian-born, French-raised former model, who has a reputation as a man-eater, has sent the French media into overdrive.

Not that Miss Bruni minds one scrap. “She told me the publicity did not bother her, and that from now on, it would become an affair, a public love story,” one of her friends, Christophe Barbier, editor of the news weekly L’Express, told French television.

Her political leanings have been identified as to be more to the left, while Sarkozy is right-wing and conservative. It should make for a volatile match in paparazzi heaven.

British supermodel Kate Moss keeps her tan lines to a minimum as she sunbathes topless in Mexico with a new unidentified man.

Kate, 33, was snapped in Mexico with the muscly hunk while rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince worked on The Kills‘ new album in Britain. At one point her mystery man, in just trunks, draped himself over her near-naked body as she chatted on her mobile.

It’s the second time in three months that Kate, who dumped Pete Doherty earlier this year, has jetted to the sun without Jamie.

The twosome were reported as being touchy-feely with each other.

Supermodel Elle Macpherson, 44 is currently spending quality time with 80’s rock balladeer turned photographer, Bryan Adams, 48. After his London exhibit, Modern Muses, Adams was caught making out with the model and the two have been spotted together elsewhere since.

Supermodel Kate Moss knows how to irritate her neighbors in style. The perrenial party girl is planning a fete for BFF Davinia Taylor, whom she has been staying with since dumping Pete Doherty to the curb.

This won’t come as good news to Davinia’s St John’s Wood neighbours. Residents in the multi-million pound mansions nearby are being driven crazy by their late-night parties and constant noise making.

One neighbour, Diane Mackintosh, 61, said: “I don’t want anything to do with them. Since they’ve come it’s been impossible to live here.”

With her usual suspects planning to attend; Liam Gallagher, Sadie Frost, Jade Jagger and maybe even Amy Winehouse; the noise, Grey Goose vodka, pink champagne and lots of munchies on hand won’t please the upper crust ladies.

The always hot Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will feature supermodel Heidi Klum and husband Seal performing the song, Wedding Day, from his upcoming album.

The source tells Us, “Heidi may do a duet with Seal. She has a great voice and they sing at home all the time. It’s looking like it’s going to happen.”

Jodie Kidd may be a relatively unfamiliar name to the States, but she has a very lucrative career in the UK and abroad. The supermodel has been caught allegedly attempting to sell drugs to an undercover reporter.

Although the 6ft 1in model was not filmed taking cocaine, she told reporters the drugs were good quality and said: “I do it. I’m not going to do s***.”

Her brother was with her at the time, allegedly selling as well and is quoted as telling the reporters:

 ”Next time give us some warning. We will get a load for you. Take it one bag at a time.”
