The merge finally happened last night on Survivor Samoa.  It was a fabulous feast filled with good food and plenty of booze to bond everyone for about five minutes.  Then the plotting began.  It was pretty fun watching all of the chaos after the double immunity challenge.  The possibility of someone different getting voted out was all over the place.  I was actually thinking the Jaison might actually get booted.  But Erik (the WOMANIZER)was flapping his jaw so much during Tribal Council that he pretty much sealed his own fate.  What a tool!  I am pretty sure he was about to cry when he gave his final words at the end.

Next week Evil Russell is going to be struggling to find ground with the whole world against him.  I am very curious to see if he will be able to pull something out.  But, I am afraid that his plotting with absolutely everyone is finally going to catch up with him…OH and the fact that he played the idol last night!  What the heck was he thinking?  Ugh….

Yul Kwon took home the big prize on Survivor Cook Islands, now he has found himself in D.C.

Yul has dusted off the sand and now works as the deputy chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau.  He is helping to  foster an alliance between the public and the government on issues between tech access, tech safety and the use of public airwaves.

“It’s such a contrast.  Being in an environment where you have no communications and no technology to being in an area where you are in the center of all that stuff, it’s kind of an adjustment. When I came off Survivor, I had two goals. One was to never wear a suit again. The other was to never make a PowerPoint slide, and I have failed miserably at both.”

Way to go Yul!  You look great in a suit and well, you are making a positive difference in the world.  HUGE kudos to you! Congrats on your continued success!

Last night was an intense night on Survivor Samoa. The contestants have been tortured by days and days of rain.  They are freezing, soaking wet, tired, hungry.  Just plain wiped out.

As last night’s episode confirmed, the terrible conditions took the worst toll on Russell Swan.  He had been pushing himself past the limit being the ‘leader’. Instead of keeping warm, Russell took care of his tribe and his own back for the game’s sake and ended up paying the ultimate price.

During the challenge, Russell passed out twice.  He was hanging by his shirt on the edge of the maze.  It was really scary.  his heart rate and blood pressure were so low.  It was nuts to watch.  Due to the circumstances, no one was booted.  It was the first time a challenge had not been completed.  Both tribes were supposed to boot somebody.  There was a lot of smack talk though.  I am looking forward to seeing that drama play out next week.

The winner of the first season of Survivor, Richard Hatch has been released from the Barnstable County jail in Bourne, MA.  Yesterday morning Hatch completed his 51 month federal tax evasion sentence.

Deputies drove Richard Hatch to his home in Rhode Island where he will serve 3 years of supervised release, he will not be able to leave the state without prior consent.

Richard Hatch will also have to check in with his probation officer on a regular basis, get a job, complete a mental health program (gee, I wonder why?), re-file his ‘01 and ‘00 tax returns, and pay all of his back taxes.

Well, all of that should keep him busy for awhile.

Was anyone upset when they watched Yasmin walk down the path of shame?  All I could think about was how much better Survivor Samoa will be with out her loud mouth, lazy butt, sporting UGLY shoes laying around!  I definitely think that Russell was justified, wanting Monica out. She sucks at challenges.  but, the rest of the team is strong and they will hopefully be able to compensate for her weaknesses.

This week’s Survivor Samoa Spotlight is on Erik.  He seems like a pretty intelligent guy, read up a little on where this ‘womanizer’ comes from:

Proud womanizer, Erik claims that he can date four to five women at the same time without any issues. He has no qualms about chasing after a taken woman (as long as she is not married) just for the fun of the chase. He says, “There’s nothing sweeter than taking another man’s goods.” His top hobby is skirt chasing. Even though he can be found chasing multiple women at once, he says that he does have a special female in his life … his dog, Adrian.

Erik holds two degrees from Pepperdine University in Psychology and Sociology but has chosen a career as a bartender. When asked why he has chosen that specific career route, he explains that he likes waking up around 10:00 a.m. and running on the beach instead of being stuck pencil-pushing in a cubicle. He says that he enjoys life while the “sell-outs” do not.

He greatly admires his father because he has sacrificed everything in life for him. In raising him, Erik observed his father’s mental and physical strength as well as endurance for raising an active boy. He feels that his father’s example has provided him with tools that will help him win this game. In addition to his father’s influence, Erik is self-motivated by his competitive nature and desire to prove to himself that he has what it takes to be the next Sole Survivor.

I told you he was smart. Kind of surprising that he would give up all that he worked for in college for a bartending career but hey, whatever makes you happy is what counts. I give Erik big kudos for that.

Oh my goodness.  Last night was the second episode of Survivor Samoa and wow.  Russell is continuing to prove that he is the worst villain in Survivor history. If you cross that guy in the slightest, just by not going with whatever he says, you are his next target.  I am still shocked at last week’s display….dumping out the canteens and burning socks!  WTF?

I felt bad for Betsy.  She shouldn’t have gotten the boot yet. She’s a good person and would have done more good for the team than Ben.

I do believe that the spotlight of last night was Yasmin.  That girl is nuts.  The girls does not know how to shut up!  Who goes to the enemy camp and runs their mouth like she did.  I love how she stood up there barking at them all like she was a camp director.

I don’t like Ben at all.  He’s a total d-bag, but he is right about Yasmin.  She is acting like moron and needs to shut up.  So, if you’re wondering where this crazy b*tch came from, here’s the scoop:

Yasmin Giles is nicknamed “Sassy Yassy” and is ready to show everybody how she got this moniker. An opinionated motor mouth from the Motor City, she always speaks her mind.

Growing up in Detroit, Yasmin claims her life experiences have prepared her for anything that comes her way. She is aware that her know-it-all attitude can rub people the wrong way, but she doesn’t care. “If you’re going to give it to somebody straight, real and raw, then a big mouth doesn’t matter, because they are going to think about what I said and realize Yasmin was right!”

Yasmin believes that once you get past her constant chatter, she is likeable, funny and quick-witted. In addition, working in a beauty salon has helped her learn how to hustle because she is constantly competing with the other employees for new clientele in order to earn a living. While she may look feminine, Yasmin insists she’s a tomboy at heart.

A firm believer in the mantra “winners never quit and quitters never win,” Yasmin claims she’s a winner and she’ll never quit SURVIVOR. “I want to do this and I want to take it all the way.”

By the way, Yasmin is single and living in Los Angeles.  Gee, I wonder why she’s single?  I don’t think her performance is going to earn her any dates either!

Survivor winner, Ethan Zohn has been battling a rare form of Hodgkin’s Disease and was finally starting to feel back to himself after intense chemo that left him hairless and always sick to his stomach.

“I was off chemo,” he says. “I was running up to seven miles” in preparation for November’s New York City Marathon. “I was happy, I was going out. I went up to Boston to see the family and was feeling great.”

On Aug 26th, his doctors called him for his post chemo results and he got the bad news,

“My cancer is back,” Zohn, 35, tells PEOPLE. “I have never been so scared in my life, for my life.”

“It was a complete punch in the face.”

Ethan family is of course really upset over this terrible news,

“My mom was obviously upset,” Zohn says. “My brothers – everyone’s upset. They can’t believe it’s what’s happening. But on the flip side, everyone’s positive and supportive.”

“You have to think positive. And you have to find the strength, which I will. And you have to rely on other people, which I will.”

This is such heartbreaking news for such a great guy.  I wish him all the luck and strength in the world.  I pray for amazing results with the new treatments he will undergo starting in December.  I pray for his courage.  Ethan Zohn is an amazing man, he will get through this.

So, Richard Hatch is making headlines once again.   That man can’t keep quiet to save his own life…..or keep himself out of jail!  Hatch has been serving the remainder of his sentencing on house arrest for his tax evasion crimes.  He’s not popular in the court houses either.  He tried to get time off to go and do Survivor 20 and was shot down immediately by the judge.  Now he went on the Today show to do an interview with Matt Lauer this morning and was arrested at his sister’s house in Newport, Rhode Island where he has been serving his house arrest.  This time he was arrested for violating the terms of his house arrest….he was not allowed to leave the house for the show, and yet he did it anyway.

Richard Hatch is a moron.  He thinks he is above the law.  He thinks that the fact he is gay is the only reason he is in the boat he is in.  Wake up dude!  There are a LOT of homosexual people out there, living there lives as law abiding citizens, not bereaking the law and blaming their sexual orientation for any of their ‘troubles’.

Girl!  Rob and Amber Mariano met on Survivor in 2004, fell in love, and now they just became new parents to little, Lucia Rose who is a firecracker baby born on the 4th of July.  The little princess weighed in at a healthy 6lbs 11oz.  The girls are doing great while daddy adjusts to this new adventure in life,

“Lucia is a great eater and sleeps a lot, but she tends to be a bit of a night owl like her daddy at times.”

Richard Hatch was hoping to return to the game of Survivor for the 20th season.  The Heroes vs Villians cast will have to go on without him.  Yes, Richard hatch is one of the best villians around, but the judge could care less.

Judge William E. Smith denied the travel request in an order issued Friday, instead ordering Hatch to serve the final 90 days of a 51-month sentence in his Newport, RI home following his January 2006 tax eviction conviction for failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he received for winning the show’s first season.

I can’t stand Hatch, so I guess I won’t have to deal with his ugly mug and that is a good thing.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone else though…..Season 20 will be epic!  See you in Samoa!

Can you believe that?  Survivor is approaching it’s 20th season!  Yes, we haven’t even seen the 19th season yet, but things are already in the works for the monumental 20th season.  Mark Burnett has something up his sleeve…..

“There’s so much being discussed. No decisions have been made. Clearly it’s 10 years (and) 20 seasons. We’ll do something really cool but we certainly won’t be making any big format changes.”

Hmmmm, they want to do something cool.  What creative idea could they come up with that hasn’t already been done?  I can’t wait to find out.  I would love if they did another All-Star cast with some extra twists.  What would you do if you could create season 20?

He may have won the third installment of Survivor, but now Ethan Zohn is facing a much fiercer battle than the African terrain: stage two Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

“This is the ultimate game of Survivor and there’s really only one outcome, and that’s to win,” he says. “There’s no other option.”

Night sweats and strange itching led the reality-TV star to think he had some sort of skin condition until, on April 30, he was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin’s disease. Shortly after a swollen lymph node and a mass on the left side of his chest were found, doctors declared Zohn had a rare form of the disease called CD20-positive Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

He began chemotherapy treatments last Friday. “My life flashed before my eyes,” Zohn says of hearing his diagnosis.

Both Zohn and longtime girlfriend Jenna Morasca (who happened to win Survivor season 6) have lost parents to cancer. However, survival rates of this strain of the disease is 90%, so the two are hopeful. However, the season three sole survivor will lose those signature curly locks pretty soon.

“My hair is my identity,” he told the magazine. “I’ll get a Mohawk or something fun that I’ve always wanted to do…I’ll roll with the punches as it comes to me. That’s how I work,” he says. “I’m not getting voted out of this one.

My guess is that this dude can outwit, outplay and outlast cancer. We are behind you and praying for you, Ethan!!
