In a final display of savvy social skills and physical prowess, Judson “Fabio” Birza took home the final prize giving the 21 year-old not only the title, but the record holding youngest ever Survivor champ to date to take the million dollar prize.

The Survivor: Nicaragua edition concluded December 19th with Birza, winning the final three immunity challenges to get him to the last Tribal Council meeting and scoring 5 votes. His two surviving competitors: Chase Rice had a final tally of 4 and Matt ‘Sash’ Lenahan received 0 votes.

Congrats to Birza.

Correction: Birza’s vote total was incorrectly listed as 6. The actual number was 5.

Survivor 22 just got a little more interesting.   We already got the word on it being a Redemption Island of sorts and that Russell Hantz and Boston Rob will be going head to head.  You can get more of the spoilers for Survivor 22 here.

Now the peeps over there at CBS are upping the ante with Carrie Prejean.  Little Miss America stripped of her crown for pissing off Perez Hilton making a sexually illicit tape for her boyfriend is going to try to “redeem” herself on reality TV’s toughest show.

If the girl handle more than a day in the elements that are Survivor, I will be impressed.  But you want to know what woul dmake for really good reality TV? If they cast Perez Hilton on the opposite team?  Carrie with Boston Rob, Perez with Russell Hantz.  OMG.  That would be insane and, really, really good.

Survivor Cook Islands winner, Yul Kwon is a new daddy!  His beautiful wife, Sophie Kwon gave birth to a baby girl,  Genevie Kwon, on Friday in Virginia.  She weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.,  21.5 in.

Yul shared the happy news with family and friends,

“We’ve already signed her up for golfing lessons to become the next Michelle Wie.  Of course, we plan to encourage her to follow her own path so long as it doesn’t involve dating older men or going on reality shows.”

Throughout last night’s episode of Survivor, I was tormented by NaOnka.  It’s only week 3 and I am ready to snap.  One good fix would be for them not to air her babble.  Honestly.  No one enjoys it!   Are you trying to lose viewers CBS?!

NaOnka shouldn’t have been cast on the show in the first place.  All she does is run her mouth when, what she needs to do is put a sock in it!  Oh wait… she lost her own socks, stole Jud’s and is pure evil to him!  Ugh.

By the way, Marty is a moron.  He thinks he is all big and bad.  I am sure next week we will see all of his true colors come out now that he got rid of Jimmy Johnson.  Yes, I am pissed about that.  Jimmy should have been given immunity until the merge just for being awesome!  And no.  I am not a Cowboys fan.

Dan and his crappy knees should have been sent home. I can’t believe he thinks he’s strong!  He’s the weakest link!  Now that Jimmy Johnson is gone, I am officially rooting for the younger tribe.  La Flor needs to boot NaOnka and I will once again be a happy Survivor fan.  So I guess I will have to root for the old tribe next week so that La Flor will have to go to Tribal Council and get rid of her ghetto, yes GHETTO butt.  She claims she’s “hood” and not “ghetto” and I beg to differ.

Until next week, I will be praying for a miracle!  I will also try to focus on NEXT season when Boston Rob and Russell Hantz go toe to toe.

Survivor Nicaragua: Young VS Old premieres on CBS next month.  The big day has been switched to Wednesdays rather than the traditional Thursday night lineup…. so tune in September 15th 8/7c for the kick off of another great season of this timeless show.

Survivor Nicaragua is underway and ex NFL coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Jimmy Johnson is competing!  This was the second try for Jimmy.  The first time he applied for the show, he failed the physical thanks to blocked arteries.  Well, he’s in the clear now and he’s giving it his all to Outwit Outplay Outlast in the game of Survivor.

Don’t work NFL fans, Jimmy will still be on FOX as an NFL analyst, the schedules won’t be conflicting.

I can hardly wait!  What other celebs could there be?  This season will begin airing September.  Good luck Jimmy!

Survivor 21 started filming last week.  Woo hoo!  I get a thrill just knowing that all the new contestants are out there, right now, battling it out in the crazy elements that are Nicaragua.

Season 22 will also be filmed there, immediately following this season in San Juan del Sur.  The beauty that is Nicaragua is serving the show with it’s natural elements and in return, the economy will get a major boost for the next six months.

The Tico Times (local paper) said,

“the 250-member crew of Survivor will inject more than $6 million into the local San Juan economy over the next six months, contracting some 200 locals and renting the equivalent of 20,000 hotel room nights in this small town.”

Getting this kind of exposure for them is huge,

“We don’t have the resources to even pay one TV ad that would reach that kind of audience,” Javier Chamorro, the executive director of ProNicaragua, told the paper.

Survivor’s challenge producer John Kirhoffer said,

“For the 11 years I’ve been doing Survivor, I have never been as excited about spending six months in any other country. And San Juan del Sur is on the top of my list of favorite places in the world to be. I love great cigars, rum and beautiful people, so I’m not leaving.”

That is hilarious!  I for one cannot wait to see Survivor 21.  This is going to be a beautiful, awe inspiring season.  Just you wait!

CBS is doing a little shifting around to gain more power in different time slots.  Survivor is moving to Wednesday nights at 8pm.  This is supposed be a power move by the network to win over the highest ratings in that time slot as well  hedging The Big Bang Theory and the new comedy Sh*t My Dad Says against the Thursday night competition on NBC.

Survivor has massive ratings and I think will do well no matter where the stick it.  Despite the fact it will go head to head with American Idol 10 results shows next spring, I think it will do well.
