Friday Night Light’s Taylor Kitsch + Men’s Health = YUMMY!

Taylor Kitsch Men's Health

You all know how much I love Friday Night Lights and how in love I am with Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins).  Well, he just did it for me BIG time!  Taylor is heating up the cover of the April issue of Men’s Health Magazine.  WOW.  YUM.  ahhhh!

If anyone knows how the ins and outs of a proper workout, it’s Taylor Kitsch. The long hours he spends fake working out on “Friday Night Lights” are only supplemented by the real ones he puts in after hours. In the April issue of Men’s Health, the soon-to-be big screen Gambit breaks down his workout regimen and tells us average folk how to he gets that bod.

1. Gambit made him tougher
“All that twisting worked my core like crazy,” he says of the characters trademark staff. The issue breaks down how to replicate the moves at home.

2. Speed it up
Gambit may not have the most awe-inspiring superpower — he throws exploding cards — but the rapid-fire tossing required Taylor gain some speed of his own. So he started working out with a speed bag.

3. Get in the ring
“Nothing keeps you more alert than having punches thrown at you,” he says of boxing, which works you out from head to toe.

Taylor definitely knows how to work it.  You could say that his body is a work of art.  I don’t usually make a habit out of buying men’s magazines.  But, this will be an exception.  I must have it!  Read the rest of the interview in the April issue!

‘The Bang Bang Club’ to Star Ryan Phillippe, Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch

malin-akerman-silk-spectre1

The new film The Bang Bang Club is set to star Ryan Phillippe, Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch.

Malin Akerman (“Watchmen”), Taylor Kitsch (“Wolverine,” “Friday Night Lights”) and Ryan Phillippe will team for the Canada/South Africa indie co-production “The Bang Bang Club” for E1 Entertainment reports Variety.

Akerman will star as a photo editor of the so-called Bang Bang Club, four combat war photographers — Marinovich (Phillippe), Kevin Carter (Kitsch), Ken Oosterbroek and Silva — whose photographs captured the final bloody days of white rule in apartheid-era South Africa.

I didn’t find Akerman impressive as an actress in Watchmen, but she looked good. Hopefully she’ll be more believable in this one.

First Look at Gambit in ‘Wolverine’

This is the first image of the much anticipated introduction of Gambit to the X-Men franchise played byTaylor Kitsch. This is taken from the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Gambit first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #266 in August 1990. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artists Jim Lee and Mike Collins, Gambit is skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, the use of a b?, and possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy. A professional thief and self described ladies man, the character has had a longtime on and off again romantic fling with Rogue.

Gambit has always been one of my personal favorites in the X-Men universe. I was hoping he’d be introduced in the first three movies, but it’s hard to pull off such a high concept character. Hopefully the choice ofTaylor Kitschwill be worth turning down the initial options ofJosh HallowayorJames Franco for the role. What do you think of the choice?
