Taylor Lautner Signed On To Parkour Flick ‘Tracers’
Taylor Lautner has not had quite the same success after Twilight that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are enjoying but perhaps things are on the upswing for the teen.
Stewart has On The Road and Snow White & The Huntsman due this year and Pattinson will be in theaters with Bel Ami and Cosmopolis but Lautner seemed to be at a standstill after last year’s Abduction.
Now Lautner’s film card is starting to fill up. He will star in the Daniel Benmayor-directed parkour action flick Tracers as a bike messenger who is trying to work off his debt to a crime organization when he collides with a “sexy stranger” and is introduced to the world of parkour.
If you are unfamilar with parkour – it’s a form of physical discipline that incorporates obstacles (trees, rocks, buildings) and how to move around them with the most efficiency. Lautner used parkour in the film Abduction in the baseball stadium/glass building slide scene.
The film’s international distribution rights are headed to Cannes this week, hoping for a buyer.
Lautner is also tapped to star with Adam Sandler in Grown Ups 2.
