Yesterday a rare event occurred.  Taylor Momsen was on location with ‘Gossip Girl‘ in New York’s meat packing district when she was caught on camera, smiling.  Yes.  She knows how!

I am so used to ragging on her for her bad attitude and fowl faces.  But today, I applaud the girl for cracking a smile.  How sad is that?  She is too young to be such a bitter box.  Smiling is so much better for your health.

Taylor Momsen and her band Pretty Reckless did David Letterman the other night and naturally posed for their snaps outside the theater.  But would you look at her face?  Taylor Momsen always has to have a bad attitude and it drives me insane. She seems like the most ungrateful, spoiled brat I have ever seen.  She is so young to be trying so hard to be hard.

Taylor Momsen performed with her band The Pretty Reckless at the V Festival in Weston Park, Staffordshire, England.   She rocked her signature look of garters and no pants… and enough black eyeliner to rival Robert Smith. And I thought I had raccoon eyes back during my high goth stage!

Sponsored by Virgin Media, the V Festival is in its 14th year.  This year’s lineup included Kings of Leon, Pixie Lott, Imogen Heap, The Prodigy, and Robyn.

Here’s a peek at Taylor Momsen modeling for Madonna‘s new juniors line for Macy’s.  I am not a huge fan of Taylor’s, but I do think she’s a great choice for Material Girl.  She totally rocks the 1980s pop-punk vibe!

Why am I not surprised?  Soon to be ex Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen loves knives.  In fact, she finds them to be therapeutic.  Huh?  Yes, it helps her to “relax” when she flicks her switchblades open.

“I have a knife collection. I have my favourite black knife with me all the time. It’s a switchblade.  It relaxes me to flick it. I close it and open it.  I flew from New York to Los Angeles and still had a couple of knives in my purse. I thought I took them all out but they got tucked up in the folds.  I took them through security, took them on the plane, opened my bag to get my wallet in LA and they fell out. I was like ‘holy s***.”

First that’s just weird for a young female to carry around switchblades.  It’s dangerous!  Second, great job TSA.  I feel so much safer knowing that you threw away my bottle of shampoo but let Taylor Momsen and who knows who else carry multiple switchblades onto a plane!

Taylor Momsen is over one side of her career, acting.  Well at least on the hit show, Gossip Girl. Momsen told reporters that she is “done” with the show.

So, I guess those “creative differences” Momsen had with Gossip Girl’s producers finally got the better of her.

Taylor Momsen is well-known on two fronts:  she’s a hit on the CW”s Gossip Girl, and gaining exposure for her band, The Pretty Reckless.   However, she’s not necessarily as fond of fame as you might think.  She said:

“I’m not Paris Hilton. I don’t really care about being a celebrity. It comes along with the territory so you can’t totally avoid it. But there’s a difference between doing the red carpet and having people invade my personal life taking pictures of me. And that’s why celebrity is so stupid. You don’t want to become something that a few million people watching your show want you to be. I want to be who I am because, if I lose that, then what am I doing this for? It’s not about fitting in. If you don’t fit in as yourself, then you don’t fit in.”

Taylor sounds oh-so-16-years-old, but she’s got a point.  Hopefully she continues to keep her head on straight.

Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen performed Thursday night with her post-grunge band The Pretty Reckless at Perry Street during Fashion’s Night Out.  She rocked a sexy look with just a white shirt, garters and stockings. A little too sexy for a 16 year old, don’t you think?

It occurs to me that this pantsless look is becoming more and more popular.  Is it an official trend now or what?
